1 Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 »Am ersten Tage des ersten Monats sollst du die Wohnung des Offenbarungszeltes aufschlagen,	2 “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall raise the tabernacle of the testimony,
3 die Lade mit dem Gesetz hineinstellen und den Vorhang vor der Lade aufhängen!	3 and you shall place the ark in it, and you shall release the veil before it.
4 Dann sollst du den Tisch hineinbringen, die erforderlichen (Schaubrotschichten) auf ihm zurechtlegen, auch den Leuchter hineinbringen und die zu ihm gehörigen Lampen aufsetzen!	4 And having brought in the table, you shall place the things which were solemnly commanded upon it. The lampstand shall stand with its lamps,
5 Dann stelle den goldenen Räucheraltar vor (den Vorhang vor der) Gesetzeslade (vgl. V.26) und hänge den Vorhang am Eingang zur Wohnung auf!	5 and the altar of gold, in which the incense is burned, shall stand before the ark of the testimony. You shall place the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle,
6 Hierauf stelle den Brandopferaltar vor dem Eingang zur Wohnung des Offenbarungszeltes auf	6 and before it, the altar of holocaust.
7 und setze das Becken (oder: den Kessel) zwischen das Offenbarungszelt und den Altar und tu Wasser hinein!	7 The washtub shall stand between the altar and the tabernacle, and you shall fill it with water.
8 Weiter laß den Vorhof ringsum aufrichten und den Vorhang am Eingang des Vorhofs anbringen!	8 And you shall encompass the atrium and its entrance with hangings.
9 Dann nimm das Salböl und salbe die Wohnung nebst allem, was sich darin befindet: weihe sie dadurch samt allen ihren Geräten, damit sie heilig sei!	9 And, having taken up the oil of unction, you shall anoint the tabernacle along with its articles, so that they may be sanctified.
10 Ebenso salbe den Brandopferaltar samt allen seinen Geräten und weihe so den Altar, damit er hochheilig sei!	10 The altar of holocaust and all its vessels,
11 Auch das Becken (oder: den Kessel) samt seinem Gestell mußt du salben und es dadurch heiligen!	11 the washtub with its base, and all things, you shall consecrate with the oil of unction, so that they may be the Holy of holies.
12 Hierauf laß Aaron und seine Söhne an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes herantreten und laß sie eine Abwaschung mit Wasser an sich vornehmen!	12 And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony, and, having washed them with water,
13 Sodann laß Aaron die heiligen Kleider anlegen und salbe ihn und weihe ihn so zur Ausübung des Priesterdienstes für mich!	13 you shall clothe them in the holy vestments, so that they may minister to me, and so that their unction may accomplish an everlasting priesthood.”
14 Ebenso laß seine Söhne herantreten und die Unterkleider anziehen;	14 And Moses did all that the Lord had instructed.
15 dann salbe sie, wie du ihren Vater gesalbt hast, damit sie mir als Priester dienen! Und diese Salbung soll ihnen das Priestertum für ewige Zeiten von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht verleihen!«	15 Therefore, in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was put in place.
16 Da Mose alles genau nach den Anordnungen des HERRN ausführte,	16 And Moses raised it up, and he positioned the panels as well as the bases and the bars, and he set up the columns,
17 wurde die Wohnung im zweiten Jahr (nach dem Auszuge aus Ägypten), am ersten Tage des ersten Monats aufgeschlagen.	17 and he stretched out the roof over the tabernacle, imposing a cover above it, just as the Lord had decreed.
18 Als Mose damals die Wohnung aufrichten ließ, legte er ihre Füße (= die Fußgestelle) fest, stellte die zugehörigen Bretter darauf, brachte ihre Riegel an und richtete ihre Säulen (oder: Ständer) auf;	18 And he placed the testimony in the ark, applying the bars beneath, and the oracle above.
19 dann breitete er das Zeltdach über der Wohnung aus und legte die Schutzdecke des Zeltes oben darüber, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.	19 And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it, in order to fulfill the commandment of the Lord.
20 Dann nahm er die (beiden) Gesetzestafeln und legte sie in die Lade, steckte die Tragstangen an die Lade und legte die Deckplatte oben auf die Lade;	20 And he placed the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, at the north side, beyond the veil,
21 alsdann brachte er die Lade in die Wohnung hinein und hängte den abschließenden Vorhang so auf, daß er die Lade mit dem Gesetz abschloß (oder: verdeckte), wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.	21 arranging before it the bread of the presence, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
22 Darauf stellte er den Tisch in das Offenbarungszelt an die Nordseite der Wohnung, außerhalb des Vorhangs,	22 And he placed the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, away from the table, on the south side,
23 und legte auf ihm die Schichten der Schaubrote vor dem HERRN zurecht, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.	23 setting the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord.
24 Dann stellte er den Leuchter in das Offenbarungszelt dem Tisch gegenüber, an die Südseite der Wohnung,	24 He also positioned the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony, opposite the veil,
25 und setzte die Lampen vor dem HERRN auf, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.	25 and he heaped upon it the incense of aromatics, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
26 Darauf stellte er den goldenen Altar in das Offenbarungszelt vor den Vorhang	26 And he positioned the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony,
27 und verbrannte wohlriechendes Räucherwerk auf ihm, wie der HERR ihm geboten hatte.	27 and the altar of holocaust in the vestibule of the testimony, offering the holocaust and the sacrifices upon it, just as the Lord had decreed.
28 Dann hängte er den Vorhang für den Eingang der Wohnung auf,	28 Likewise, he stationed the washtub between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water.
29 stellte den Brandopferaltar vor den Eingang der Wohnung des Offenbarungszeltes und brachte das Brandopfer und das Speisopfer auf ihm dar, wie der HERR ihm geboten hatte.	29 And Moses and Aaron, along with his sons, washed their hands and feet,
30 Dann ließ er den Kessel (oder: das Becken) zwischen dem Offenbarungszelt und dem Altar aufstellen und Wasser für die Waschungen hineintun,	30 whenever they would enter the covering of the covenant, and when they approached to the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
31 damit Mose und Aaron nebst dessen Söhnen sich die Hände und Füße daraus wuschen;	31 And he raised up the atrium around the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging at its entrance. After all these things were perfected,
32 sooft sie in das Offenbarungszelt hineingingen oder an den Altar herantraten, wuschen sie sich daraus, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.	32 the cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it.
33 Schließlich richtete er den Vorhof rings um die Wohnung und um den Altar auf und brachte den Vorhang am Tor des Vorhofs an.	33 Neither could Moses enter the covering of the covenant: the cloud was covering all things, and the majesty of the Lord was flashing. For the cloud had covered everything.
34 Als Mose so das ganze Werk vollendet hatte, verhüllte (oder: bedeckte) die Wolke das Offenbarungszelt, und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erfüllte die Wohnung,	34 Whenever the cloud departed from the tabernacle, the sons of Israel set out by their companies.
35 so daß Mose nicht in das Offenbarungszelt hineingehen konnte, weil die Wolke sich auf dasselbe niedergelassen hatte und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN die Wohnung erfüllte.	35 But if it remained hanging over it, they remained in the same place.
36 Sooft sich nun die Wolke von der Wohnung erhob, brachen die Israeliten auf während der ganzen Dauer ihrer Wanderungen;	36 Certainly, the cloud of the Lord lay over the tabernacle by day, and the fire by night, being seen by all the people of Israel throughout all their resting places.
37 wenn aber die Wolke sich nicht erhob, brachen sie nicht auf bis zu dem Tage, wo sie sich erhob.
38 Denn bei Tage lag die Wolke des HERRN über der Wohnung; bei Nacht aber war sie, mit Feuerschein erfüllt, dem ganzen Hause Israel sichtbar während der ganzen Dauer ihrer Wanderzüge.
