1 Per quelli che saranno cangiati: testimonianza di Asapù. Ascoltaci tu, pastor d'Israele, tu che conduci Giuseppe, come una pecorella.	1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God, the pagans have invaded your heritage, they have defiled your holy temple,they have laid Jerusalem in ruins,
2 Tu, che se' assiso sopra i Cherubini, fatti vedere dinanzi ad Efraim, a Beniamin, e a Manasse.	2 they have left the corpses of your servants as food for the birds of the air, the bodies of your faithful forthe wild beasts.
3 Sveglia la tua potenza, e vieni a salvarci.	3 Around Jerusalem they have shed blood like water, leaving no one to bury them.
4 O Dio, convertici, è mostra a noi la tua faccia, e sarem salvi.	4 We are the scorn of our neighbours, the butt and laughing-stock of those around us.
5 Signore Dio degli eserciti fino a quando ti adirerai, né darai ascolto all'orazione del tuo servo?	5 How long will you be angry, Yahweh? For ever? Is your jealousy to go on smouldering like a fire?
6 E ci nudrirai con pane di lagrime, e bevanda di lagrime darai a noi in larga misura?	6 Pour out your anger on the nations who do not acknowledge you, and on the kingdoms that do not callon your name;
7 Ci hai renduti oggetto di contraddizione ai nostri vicini, e i nemici nostri nemici si fan beffe di noi.	7 for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his home.
8 Dio degli eserciti, convertici, e mostraci la tua faccia, e sarem salvi.	8 Do not count against us the guilt of former generations, in your tenderness come quickly to meet us,for we are utterly weakened;
9 Tu dall'Egitto traportasti una vigna: discacciasti le nazioni, e la piantasti.	9 help us, God our Saviour, for the glory of your name; Yahweh, wipe away our sins, rescue us for thesake of your name.
10 Tu le andasti avanti come condottiere nel viaggio: tu facesti barbicare le sue radici, ed ella empiè la terra.	10 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?' Let us see the nations suffer vengeance forshedding your servants' blood.
11 L'ombra di lei ricoperse i monti, e i rami di lei i cedri di Dio.	11 May the groans of the captive reach you, by your great strength save those who are condemned todeath!
12 Fino al mare stese ella i suoi tralci, e le sue propagini fino al fiume.	12 Repay our neighbours sevenfold for the insults they have level ed at you, Lord.
13 Per qual motivo hai tu distrutta la sua siepe, e la vendemmiano tutti quei, che passano per istrada?	13 And we, your people, the flock that you pasture, will thank you for ever, wil recite your praises fromage to age.
14 Il cinghiale del bosco la ha sterminata, e la fiera solitaria feroce ne ha fatto pasto.
15 Dio degli eserciti, volgiti a noi, mira dal cielo, e vedi, e visita questa vigna.
16 E lei coltiva, che fu piantata dalla tua destra: e mira quel figliuolo dell'uomo, cui tu eleggesti.
17 Ella è stata arsa dal fuoco, e di radicata: ma a' minacciosi tuoi sguardi periranno i nemici.
18 Sia la mano tua sopra l'uomo della tua destra, e sopra il figliuolo dell'uomo, cui tu ti eleggesti.
19 E noi non recediamo da te: tu ci darai nuova vita, e noi invocheremo il tuo nome.
20 Signore Dio degli escerciti convertici, e mostraci la tua faccia, e sarem salvi.
