KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Mert megkönyörül az Úr Jákobon, kiválasztja még egyszer Izraelt, és letelepíti őket földjükön. Az idegenek majd hozzájuk csatlakoznak, és Jákob házához társulnak.	1 When the LORD has pity on Jacob and again chooses Israel and settles them on their own soil, the aliens will join them and be counted with the house of Jacob.
2 A nemzetek kézbeveszik őket, és elviszik lakóhelyükre, Izrael háza pedig tulajdonává teszi az idegeneket az Úr földjén, szolgákká és szolgálókká. Azokat viszik fogságba, akik elhurcolták őket, s ők uralkodni fognak sanyargatóikon.	2 The house of Israel will take them and bring them along to its place, and possess them as male and female slaves on the Lord's soil, making captives of its captors and ruling over its oppressors.
3 Ez történik majd azon a napon, amikor az Úr nyugalmat ad neked szenvedésed és gyötrelmed után, a kemény szolgaság után, melyben szolgáltál:	3 On the day the LORD relieves you of sorrow and unrest and the hard service in which you have been enslaved,
4 ezt a gúnydalt fogod zengeni Babilon királyáról: »Hogy eltűnt a sanyargató, hogy eltűnt a szorongatás!	4 you will take up this taunt-song against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has reached his end! how the turmoil is stilled!
5 Összetörte az Úr az istentelenek botját, a zsarnokok vesszejét,	5 The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the staff of the tyrants
6 mely népeket vert dühödten szüntelen veréssel, nemzeteket igázott le haragjában kegyetlen üldözéssel.	6 That struck the peoples in wrath relentless blows; That beat down the nations in anger, with oppression unchecked.
7 Megnyugodott és megpihent az egész föld, ujjongásban tört ki.	7 The whole earth rests peacefully, song breaks forth;
8 A ciprusok is örülnek miattad, s a Libanon cédrusai: ‘Mióta ledöntöttek téged, nem jön fel senki kiirtani minket.’	8 The very cypresses rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon: "Now that you are laid to rest, there will be none to cut us down."
9 Lent az alvilág megrendült jöttödre; felriasztja kedvedért az árnyakat, a föld minden fejedelmét, felkelti trónjáról a nemzetek minden királyát.	9 The nether world below is all astir preparing for your coming; It awakens the shades to greet you, all the leaders of the earth; It has the kings of all nations rise from their thrones.
10 Valamennyien megszólalnak, és ezt mondják neked: ‘Te is gyenge lettél, mint mi, hozzánk hasonlóvá lettél.’	10 All of them speak out and say to you, "You too have become weak like us, you are the same as we.
11 Az alvilágba szállt alá kevélységed és hárfáid zengése; rothadás alattad a fekvőhely, és férgek a takaród.	11 Down to the nether world your pomp is brought, the music of your harps. The couch beneath you is the maggot, your covering, the worm."
12 Hogyan hullottál le az égből, te hajnalcsillag, a hajnalpírnak fia? Lebuktál a földre, nemzetek legyőzője!	12 How have you fallen from the heavens, O morning star, son of the dawn! How are you cut down to the ground, you who mowed down the nations!
13 Te azt mondtad magadban: ‘Az égbe szállok fel, Isten csillagai fölé emelem trónomat, leülök a gyülekezet hegyén, a messzi északon.	13 You said in your heart: "I will scale the heavens; Above the stars of God I will set up my throne; I will take my seat on the Mount of Assembly, in the recesses of the North.
14 Felmegyek a magas felhők fölé, hasonló leszek a Magasságbelihez.’	14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will be like the Most High!"
15 De az alvilágba szállsz alá, a verem legmélyére!	15 Yet down to the nether world you go to the recesses of the pit!
16 Akik meglátnak, rád néznek, és téged figyelnek: ‘Hát ez az, aki megremegtette a földet, aki megrendítette a királyságokat?	16 When they see you they will stare, pondering over you: "Is this the man who made the earth tremble, and kingdoms quake?
17 Ő az, aki a földkerekséget sivataggá tette, városait lerombolta, és foglyait nem engedte haza?	17 Who made the world a desert, razed its cities, and gave his captives no release?
18 A nemzetek királyai mind dicsőségben nyugszanak, mindenki a házában;	18 All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb;
19 téged azonban kivetnek sírodból, mint eldobott sarjat, beborítva meggyilkoltakkal, akik kard által vesztek el, és leszállnak a verem köveire; kidobnak, mint eltaposott hullát.	19 But you are cast forth without burial, loathsome and corrupt, Clothed as those slain at sword-point, a trampled corpse. Going down to the pavement of the pit,
20 Temetésben nem lesz részed, mint nekik, mert földedet tönkretetted, népedet legyilkoltad; kihal neve mindörökre a gonoszok ivadékának!	20 you will never be one with them in the grave." For you have ruined your land, you have slain your people! Let him not be named forever, that scion of an evil race!
21 Készítsetek fiainak vágóhidat, atyáik bűne miatt, nehogy felkeljenek, és birtokba vegyék az országot, s betöltsék a földkerekség színét városokkal!’«	21 He shall pass through it hard-pressed and hungry, and in his hunger he shall become enraged, and curse his king and his gods. He shall look upward, but there shall be strict darkness without any dawn;
22 »Felkelek ellenük – mondja a Seregek Ura –, és kiirtom Babilon nevét és maradékát, sarjadékát és ivadékát – mondja az Úr. –	22 He shall gaze at the earth, but there shall be distress and darkness, with the light blacked out by its clouds.
23 Sündisznó odvává teszem, és mocsárrá, elsöpröm a pusztítás seprűjével« – mondja a Seregek Ura.	23 I will make it a haunt of hoot owls and a marshland; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction, says the LORD of hosts.
24 Megesküdött a Seregek Ura, és így szólt: »Bizony, ahogy elgondoltam, úgy lesz, és amint elterveztem, úgy következik be.	24 The LORD of hosts has sworn: As I have resolved, so shall it be; As I have proposed, so shall it stand:
25 Összetöröm Asszíriát országomban, és hegyeimen eltaposom őt; leveszem róluk igáját, és terhét vállukról leemelem.«	25 Then his yoke shall be removed from them, and his burden from their shoulder.
26 Ez az elhatározott terv az egész föld felől, és ez a kinyújtott kéz az összes nemzet fölött.	26 This is the plan proposed for the whole earth, and this the hand outstretched over all nations.
27 Mert amit a Seregek Ura eltervezett, ki hiúsíthatja meg? És ha keze ki van nyújtva, ki fordíthatja el?	27 The LORD of hosts has planned; who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out; who can turn it back?
28 Ácház király halálának évében hangzott el ez a kijelentés:	28 In the year that King Ahaz died, there came this oracle:
29 »Ne örvendezz, egész Filisztea, hogy összetört a botja a téged verőnek! Mert a kígyó gyökeréből áspiskígyó sarjad, és kígyó magva csak repülő kígyó.	29 Rejoice not, O Philistia, not a man of you, that the rod which smote you is broken; For out of the serpent's root shall come an adder, its fruit shall be a flying saraph.
30 A szegények elsőszülöttei jóllaknak, és a szűkölködők biztonságban pihennek; de a te gyökeredet éhséggel pusztítom el, és maradékodat megölöm.	30 In my pastures the poor shall eat, and the needy lie down in safety; But I will kill your root with famine that shall slay even your remnant.
31 Jajgass, kapu! Kiálts, város! Reszkess, egész Filisztea! Mert észak felől füst közeleg, és nincs szökevény seregeiben.«	31 Howl, O gate; cry out, O city! Philistia, all of you melts away! For there comes a smoke from the north, without a straggler in the ranks.
32 Mit feleljenek a nemzet követeinek? »Az Úr alapozta meg Siont, és benne keresnek menedéket népének szegényei!«	32 What will one answer the messengers of the nation? "The LORD has established Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people find refuge."
