1 Po suboti, u osvit prvoga dana u tjednu, dođe Marija Magdalena i druga Marija pogledati grob.	1 After the Sabbath, and towards dawn on the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Marywent to visit the sepulchre.
2 I gle, nastade žestok potres jer anđeo Gospodnji siđe s neba, pristupi, otkotrlja kamen i sjede na nj.	2 And suddenly there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, cameand rol ed away the stone and sat on it.
3 Lice mu bijaše kao munja, a odjeća bijela kao snijeg.	3 His face was like lightning, his robe white as snow.
4 Od straha pred njim zadrhtaše stražari i obamriješe.	4 The guards were so shaken by fear of him that they were like dead men.
5 A anđeo progovori ženama: »Vi se ne bojte! Ta znam: Isusa Raspetoga tražite!	5 But the angel spoke; and he said to the women, 'There is no need for you to be afraid. I know you arelooking for Jesus, who was crucified.
6 Nije ovdje! Uskrsnu kako reče. Hajde, vidite mjesto gdje je ležao	6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said he would. Come and see the place where he lay,
7 pa pođite žurno i javite njegovim učenicima da uskrsnu od mrtvih. I evo, ide pred vama u Galileju. Ondje ćete ga vidjeti. Evo, rekoh vam.«	7 then go quickly and tel his disciples, "He has risen from the dead and now he is going ahead of you toGalilee; that is where you wil see him." Look! I have told you.'
8 One otiđoše žurno s groba te sa strahom i velikom radošću otrčaše javiti njegovim učenicima.	8 Fil ed with awe and great joy the women came quickly away from the tomb and ran to tel his disciples.
9 Kad eto im Isusa u susret! Reče im: »Zdravo!« One polete k njemu, obujme mu noge i ničice mu se poklone.	9 And suddenly, coming to meet them, was Jesus. 'Greetings,' he said. And the women came up to himand, clasping his feet, they did him homage.
10 Tada im Isus reče: »Ne bojte se! Idite, javite mojoj braći da pođu u Galileju! Ondje će me vidjeti!«	10 Then Jesus said to them, 'Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers that they must leave for Galilee;there they wil see me.'
11 Dok su one odlazile, gle, neki od straže dođoše u grad i javiše glavarima svećeničkim sve što se dogodilo.	11 Now while they were on their way, some of the guards went off into the city to tell the chief priests althat had happened.
12 Oni se sabraše sa starješinama na vijećanje, uzeše mnogo novaca i dadoše vojnicima	12 These held a meeting with the elders and, after some discussion, handed a considerable sum ofmoney to the soldiers
13 govoreći: »Recite: ‘Noću, dok smo mi spavali, dođoše njegovi učenici i ukradoše ga.’	13 with these instructions, 'This is what you must say, "His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep."
14 Ako to dočuje upravitelj, mi ćemo ga uvjeriti i sve učiniti da vi budete bez brige.«	14 And should the governor come to hear of this, we undertake to put things right with him ourselvesand to see that you do not get into trouble.'
15 Oni uzeše novac i učiniše kako bijahu poučeni. I razglasilo se to među Židovima – sve do danas.	15 So they took the money and carried out their instructions, and to this day that is the story among theJews.
16 Jedanaestorica pođoše u Galileju na goru kamo im je naredio Isus.	16 Meanwhile the eleven disciples set out for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged tomeet them.
17 Kad ga ugledaše, padoše ničice preda nj. A neki posumnjaše.	17 When they saw him they fell down before him, though some hesitated.
18 Isus im pristupi i prozbori: »Dana mi je sva vlast na nebu i na zemlji!	18 Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given tome.
19 Pođite dakle i učinite mojim učenicima sve narode krsteći ih u ime Oca i Sina i Duha Svetoga	19 Go, therefore, make disciples of al nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Sonand of the Holy Spirit,
20 i učeći ih čuvati sve što sam vam zapovjedio!« »I evo, ja sam s vama u sve dane – do svršetka svijeta.«	20 and teach them to observe al the commands I gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to theend of time.'
