Isaiah 51

1 Give ear to me, you that follow that which is just, and you that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you are dug out.	1 Ακουσατε μου, σεις οι ακολουθουντες την δικαιοσυνην, οι ζητουντες τον Κυριον? εμβλεψατε εις τον βραχον, εκ του οποιου ελατομηθητε, και εις το στομιον του λακκου, εκ του οποιου ανωρυχθητε.
2 Look unto Abraham your father, and to Sara that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and multiplied him.	2 Εμβλεψατε εις τον Αβρααμ τον πατερα σας και εις την Σαρραν, ητις σας εγεννησε? διοτι εκαλεσα αυτον οντα ενα και ευλογησα αυτον και επληθυνα αυτον.
3 The Lord therefore will comfort Sion, and will comfort all the ruins thereof: and he will make her desert as a place of pleasure, and her wilderness as the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of praise.	3 Ο Κυριος λοιπον θελει παρηγορησει την Σιων? αυτος θελει παρηγορησει παντας τους ηρημωμενους τοπους αυτης? και θελει καμει την ερημον αυτης ως την Εδεμ και την ερημιαν αυτης ως παραδεισον του Κυριου? ευφροσυνη και αγαλλιασις θελει ευρισκεσθαι εν αυτη, δοξολογια και φωνη αινεσεως.
4 Hearken unto me, O my people, and give ear to me, O my tribes: for a law shall go forth from me, and my judgment shall rest to be a light of the nations.	4 Ακουσον μου, λαε μου? και δος ακροασιν εις εμε, εθνος μου? διοτι νομος θελει εξελθει παρ' εμου και θελω στησει την κρισιν μου δια φως των λαων.
5 My just one is near at hand, my saviour is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people: the islands shall look for me, and shall patiently wait for my arm.	5 Η δικαιοσυνη μου πλησιαζει? η σωτηρια μου εξηλθε και οι βραχιονες μου θελουσι κρινει τους λαους? αι νησοι θελουσι προσμενει εμε και θελουσιν ελπιζει επι τον βραχιονα μου.
6 Lift up your eyes to heaven, and look down to the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall be worn away like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof shall perish in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice shall not fail.	6 Υψωσατε τους οφθαλμους σας εις τους ουρανους και βλεψατε εις την γην κατω? διοτι οι ουρανοι θελουσι διαλυθη ως καπνος και η γη θελει παλαιωθη ως ιματιον και οι κατοικουντες εν αυτη θελουσιν αποθανει εξισου? αλλ' η σωτηρια μου θελει εισθαι εις τον αιωνα και η δικαιοσυνη μου δεν θελει εκλειψει.
7 Hearken to me, you that know what is just, my people who have my law in your heart: fear ye not the reproach of men, and be not afraid of their blasphemies.	7 Ακουσατε μου, σεις οι γνωριζοντες δικαιοσυνην? λαε, εν τη καρδια του οποιου ειναι ο νομος μου? μη φοβεισθε τον ονειδισμον των ανθρωπων μηδε ταραττεσθε εις τας υβρεις αυτων.
8 For the worm shall eat them up as a garment: and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,	8 Διοτι ως ιματιον θελει καταφαγει αυτους ο σκωληξ και ως μαλλιον θελει καταφαγει αυτους ο σκωρος? αλλ' η δικαιοσυνη μου θελει μενει εις τον αιωνα και η σωτηρια μου εις γενεας γενεων.
9 Arise, arise, put on strength, O thou arm of the Lord, arise as in the days of old, in the ancient generations. Hast not thou struck the proud one, and wounded the dragon?	9 Εξεγερθητι, εξεγερθητι, ενδυθητι δυναμιν, βραχιων Κυριου? εξεγερθητι ως εν ταις αρχαιαις ημεραις, εν ταις παλαιαις γενεαις. Δεν εισαι συ, ο παταξας την Ρααβ και τραυματισας τον δρακοντα;
10 Hast not thou dried up the sea, the water of the mighty deep, who madest the depth of the sea a way, that the delivered might pass over?	10 Δεν εισαι συ, ο ξηρανας την θαλασσαν, τα υδατα της μεγαλης αβυσσου; ο ποιησας τα βαθη της θαλασσης οδον διαβασεως των λελυτρωμενων;
11 And now they that are redeemed by the Lord, shall return, and shall come into Sion singing praises, and joy everlasting shall be upon their heads, they shall obtain joy and gladness, sorrow and mourning shall flee away.	11 Και οι λελυτρωμενοι του Κυριου θελουσιν επιστρεψει και ελθει εν αλαλαγμω εις Σιων? και ευφροσυνη αιωνιος θελει εισθαι επι της κεφαλης αυτων? αγαλλιασιν και ευφροσυνην θελουσιν απολαυσει? η λυπη και ο στεναγμος θελουσι φυγει.
12 I, I myself will comfort you: who art thou, that thou shouldst be afraid of a mortal man, and of the son of man, who shall wither away like grass?	12 Εγω, εγω ειμαι ο παρηγορων υμας. Συ τις εισαι και φοβεισαι απο ανθρωπου θνητου και απο υιου ανθρωπου, οστις θελει γεινει ως χορτος?
13 And thou hast forgotten the Lord thy maker, who stretched out the heavens, and founded the earth: and thee hast been afraid continually all the day at the presence of his fury who afflicted thee, and had prepared himself to destroy thee: where is now the fury of the oppressor?	13 και ελησμονησας Κυριον τον Ποιητην σου, τον εκτειναντα τους ουρανους και θεμελιωσαντα την γην? και εφοβεισο παντοτε καθ' ημεραν την οργην του καταθλιβοντος σε, ως εαν ητο ετοιμος να καταστρεψη; και που ειναι τωρα η οργη του καταθλιβοντος;
14 He shall quickly come that is going to open unto you, and he shall not kill unto utter destruction, neither shall his bread fail.	14 Ο ηχμαλωτισμενος σπευδει να λυθη και να μη αποθανη εν τω λακκω μηδε να στερηθη τον αρτον αυτου?
15 But I am the Lord thy God, who trouble the sea, and the waves thereof swell: the Lord of hosts is my name.	15 διοτι εγω ειμαι Κυριος ο Θεος σου, ο ταραττων την θαλασσαν και ηχουσι τα κυματα αυτης? Κυριος των δυναμεων το ονομα αυτου.
16 I have put my words in thy mouth, and have protected thee in the shadow of my hand, that thou mightest plant the heavens, and found the earth: and mightest say to Sion: Thou art my people.	16 Και εθεσα τους λογους μου εις το στομα σου και σε εσκεπασα με την σκιαν της χειρος μου, δια να στερεωσω τους ουρανους και να θεμελιωσω την γην? και δια να ειπω προς την Σιων, Λαος μου εισαι.
17 Arise, arise, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunk even to the bottom of the cup of dead sleep, and thou hast drunk even to the dregs.	17 Εξεγερθητι, εξεγερθητι, αναστηθι, Ιερουσαλημ, ητις επιες εκ της χειρος του Κυριου το ποτηριον του θυμου αυτου? επιες, εξεκενωσας και αυτην την τρυγιαν του ποτηριου της ζαλης.
18 There is none that can uphold her among all the children that she hath brought forth: and there is none that taketh her by the hand among all the children that she hath brought up.	18 Εκ παντων των υιων, τους οποιους εγεννησε, δεν υπαρχει ο οδηγων αυτην? ουδε ειναι εκ παντων των υιων, τους οποιους εξεθρεψεν, ο πιανων αυτην εκ της χειρος.
19 There are two things that have happened to thee: who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword, who shall comfort thee?	19 Τα δυο ταυτα ηλθον επι σε? τις θελει σε συλλυπηθη; ερημωσις και καταστροφη και πεινα και μαχαιρα? δια τινος να σε παρηγορησω;
20 Thy children are cast forth, they have slept at the head of all the ways, as the wild ox that is snared: full of the indignation of the Lord, of the rebuke of thy God.	20 Οι υιοι σου απενεκρωθησαν? κοιτονται απ' ακρου πασων των οδων, ως αγριος ταυρος εν δικτυοις? ειναι πληρεις του θυμου του Κυριου, της επιτιμησεως του Θεου σου.
21 Therefore hear this, thou poor little one, and thou that art drunk but no with wine.	21 Οθεν, ακουε τωρα τουτο, τεθλιμμενη και μεθυουσα, πλην ουχι εξ οινου?
22 Thus saith thy Sovereign the Lord and thy God, who will fight for his people: Behold I have taken out of thy hand the cup of dead sleep, the dregs of the cup of my indignation, thou shalt not drink it again any more.	22 ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος σου, ο Κυριος και ο Θεος σου, ο δικολογων υπερ του λαου αυτου? Ιδου, ελαβον εκ των χειρων σου το ποτηριον της ζαλης, την τρυγιαν του ποτηριου του θυμου μου? δεν θελεις πλεον πιει αυτο του λοιπου?
23 And I will put it in the hand of them that have oppressed thee, and have said to thy soul: Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as a way to them that went over.	23 και θελω βαλει αυτο εις την χειρα των καταθλιβοντων σε, οιτινες ειπον προς την ψυχην σου, Κυψον, δια να περασωμεν? και συ εβαλες το σωμα σου ως γην και ως οδον εις τους διαβαινοντας.
