Isaiah 41

1 Let the islands keep silence before me, and the nations take new strength: let them come near, and then speak, let us come near to judgment together.	1 Σιωπατε ενωπιον μου, νησοι? οι λαοι ας ανανεωσωσι δυναμιν? και ας πλησιασωσι και τοτε ας λαλησωσιν? ας προσελθωμεν ομου εις κρισιν.
2 Who hath raised up the just one from the east, hath called him to follow him? he shall give the nations in his sight, and he shall rule over kings: he shall give them as the dust to his sword, as stubble driven by the wind, to his bow.	2 Τις ηγειρε τον δικαιον απο της ανατολης, προσεκαλεσεν αυτον κατα ποδας αυτου, παρεδωκεν εις αυτον τα εθνη και κατεστησεν αυτον κυριον επι τους βασιλεις; τις παρεδωκεν αυτους εις την μαχαιραν αυτου ως χωμα, και εις το τοξον αυτου ως αχυρον ωθουμενον απο ανεμου;
3 He shall pursue them, he shall pass in peace, no path shall appear after his feet.	3 Κατεδιωξεν αυτους και διηλθεν ασφαλως δια της οδου, την οποιαν δεν ειχε περιπατησει με τους ποδας αυτου.
4 Who hath wrought and done these things, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, I am the first and the last.	4 Τις ενηργησε και εκαμε τουτο, καλων τας γενεας απ' αρχης; Εγω ο Κυριος, ο πρωτος και ο μετα των εσχατων? εγω αυτος.
5 The islands saw it, and feared, the ends of the earth were astonished, they drew near, and came.	5 Αι νησοι ειδον και εφοβηθησαν? τα περατα της γης ετρομαξαν, επλησιασαν και ηλθον.
6 Every one shall help his neighbour, and shall say to his brother: Be of good courage.	6 Εβοηθησαν εκαστος τον πλησιον αυτου? και ειπε προς τον αδελφον αυτου, Ισχυε.
7 The coppersmith striking with the hammer encouraged him that forged at that time, saying: It is ready for soldering: and he strengthened it with nails, that it should not be moved.	7 Και ο ξυλουργος ενισχυε τον χρυσοχοον και ο λεπτυνων με την σφυραν, τον σφυροκοπουντα επι τον ακμονα, λεγων, Καλον ειναι δια την συγκολλησιν? και στερεονει αυτο με καρφια, δια να μη κινηται.
8 But thou Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend:	8 Αλλα συ, Ισραηλ, δουλε μου, Ιακωβ, εκλεκτε μου, το σπερμα Αβρααμ του αγαπητου μου,
9 In whom I have taken thee from the ends of the earth, and from the remote parts thereof have called thee, and said to thee: Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee, and have not cast thee away.	9 συ, τον οποιον ελαβον εκ των ακρων της γης και σε εκαλεσα εκ των εσχατων αυτης και σοι ειπα, Συ εισαι ο δουλος μου? εγω σε εξελεξα και δεν θελω σε απορριψει?
10 Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God: I have strengthened thee, and have helped thee, and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.	10 μη φοβου? διοτι εγω ειμαι μετα σου? μη τρομαζε? διοτι εγω ειμαι ο Θεος σου? σε ενισχυσα? μαλιστα σε εβοηθησα? μαλιστα σε υπερησπισθην δια της δεξιας της δικαιοσυνης μου.
11 Behold all that fight against thee shall be confounded and ashamed, they shall be as nothing, and the men shall perish that strive against thee.	11 Ιδου, παντες οι ωργισμενοι κατα σου θελουσι καταισχυνθη και εντραπη? θελουσιν εισθαι ως μηδεν? και οι αντιδικοι σου θελουσιν αφανισθη.
12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find the men that resist thee: they shall be as nothing: and as a thing consumed the men that war against thee.	12 Θελεις ζητησει αυτους και δεν θελεις ευρει αυτους, τους εναντιουμενους εις σε? οι πολεμουντες κατα σου θελουσι γεινει μηδεν και ως εξουθενημα.
13 For I am the Lord thy God, who take thee by the hand, and say to thee: Fear not, I have helped thee.	13 Διοτι εγω Κυριος ο Θεος σου ειμαι ο κρατων την δεξιαν σου, λεγων προς σε, Μη φοβου? εγω θελω σε βοηθησει.
14 Fear not, thou worm of Jacob, you that are dead of Israel: I have helped thee, saith the Lord: and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel.	14 Μη φοβου, σκωληξ Ιακωβ, θνητοι του Ισραηλ? εγω θελω σε βοηθει, λεγει ο Κυριος? και λυτρωτης σου ειναι ο Αγιος του Ισραηλ.
15 I have made thee as a new thrashing wain, with teeth like a saw: thou shall thrash the mountains, and break them in pieces: and shalt make the hills as chaff.	15 Ιδου, εγω θελω σε καμει νεον κοπτερον αλωνιστηριον οργανον οδοντωτον? θελεις αλωνισει τα ορη και λεπτυνει αυτα, και θελεις καμει τους λοφους ως λεπτον αχυρον.
16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, in the Holy One of Israel thou shalt be joyful.	16 Θελεις ανεμισει αυτα και ο ανεμος θελει σηκωσει αυτα και ο ανεμοστροβιλος θελει διασκορπισει αυτα? συ δε θελεις ευφρανθη εις τον Κυριον και θελεις δοξασθη εν τω Αγιω του Ισραηλ.
17 The needy and the poor seek for waters, and there are none: their tongue hath been dry with thirst. I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.	17 Οταν οι πτωχοι και ενδεεις ζητησωσιν υδωρ και δεν υπαρχη, η γλωσσα δε αυτων ξηραινηται υπο διψης, εγω ο Κυριος θελω εισακουσει αυτους, ο Θεος του Ισραηλ δεν θελω εγκαταλειψει αυτους.
18 I will open rivers in the high bills, and fountains in the midst of the plains: I will turn the desert into pools of waters, and the impassable land into streams of waters.	18 Θελω ανοιξει ποταμους εν υψηλοις τοποις και πηγας εν μεσω των κοιλαδων? θελω καμει την ερημον λιμνας υδατων και την ξηραν γην πηγας υδατων.
19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, and the thorn, and the myrtle, and the olive tree: I will set in the desert the fir tree, the elm, and the box tree together:	19 Εν τη ερημω θελω εμφυτευσει την κεδρον, το δενδρον της σιττης και τον μυρτον και την ελαιαν? εν τη ακατοικητω γη θελω βαλει την ελατον, την πευκην και τον πυξον ομου?
20 That they may see and know, and consider, and understand together that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.	20 δια να ιδωσι και να γνωρισωσι και να στοχασθωσι και να εννοησωσιν ομου, οτι η χειρ του Κυριου εκαμε τουτο και ο Αγιος του Ισραηλ εδημιουργησεν αυτο.
21 Bring your cause near, saith the Lord: bring hither, if you have any thing to allege, saith the King of Jacob.	21 Παραστησατε την δικην σας, λεγει Κυριος? προφερετε τα ισχυρα σας επιχειρηματα, λεγει ο βασιλευς του Ιακωβ.
22 Let them come, and tell us all things that are to come: tell us the former things what they were: and we will set our heart upon them, and shall know the latter end of them, and tell us the things that are to come.	22 Ας πλησιασωσι και ας δειξωσιν εις ημας τι θελει συμβη? ας αναγγειλωσι τα προτερα, τι ησαν, δια να στοχασθωμεν αυτα και να γνωρισωμεν τα εσχατα αυτων? η ας αναγγειλωσι προς ημας τα μελλοντα.
23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, and we shall know that ye are gods. Do ye also good or evil, if you can: and let us speak, and see together.	23 Αναγγειλατε τα συμβησομενα εις το μετεπειτα, δια να γνωρισωμεν οτι εισθε θεοι? καμετε ετι καλον η καμετε κακον, δια να θαυμασωμεν και να ιδωμεν ομου.
24 Behold, you are of nothing, and your work of that which hath no being: he that hath chosen you is an abomination.	24 Ιδου, σεις εισθε ολιγωτερον παρα το μηδεν, και το εργον σας χειροτερον παρα το μηδεν? οστις σας εκλεγει, ειναι βδελυγμα.
25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come from the rising of the sun: he shall call upon my name, and he shall make princes to be as dirt, and as the potter treading clay.	25 Ηγειρα ενα εκ βορρα και θελει ελθει? απ' ανατολων ηλιου θελει επικαλεισθαι το ονομα μου? και θελει πατησει επι τους ηγεμονας ως επι πηλον και ως ο κεραμευς καταπατει τον αργιλον.
26 Who bath declared from the beginning, that we may know: and from time of old, that we may say: Thou art just. There is none that sheweth, nor that foretelleth, nor that heareth your words.	26 Τις ανηγγειλε ταυτα απ' αρχης, δια να γνωρισωμεν; και προ του καιρου, δια να ειπωμεν, αυτος ειναι ο δικαιος; Αλλ' ουδεις ο αναγγελλων? αλλ' ουδεις ο διακηρυττων? αλλ' ουδεις ο ακουων τους λογους σας.
27 The first shall say to Sion: Behold they are here, and to Jerusalem I will give an evangelist.	27 Εγω ο πρωτος θελω ειπει προς την Σιων, Ιδου, ιδου, ταυτα? και θελω δωσει εις την Ιερουσαλημ τον ευαγγελιζομενον.
28 And I saw, and there was no one even among them to consult, or who, when I asked, could answer a word.	28 Διοτι εθεωρησα και δεν ητο ουδεις, ναι, μεταξυ αυτων, αλλα δεν υπηρχε συμβουλος δυναμενος να αποκριθη λογον, οτε ηρωτησα αυτους.
29 Behold they are all in the wrong, and their works are vain: their idols are wind and vanity.	29 Ιδου, παντες ειναι ματαιοτης, τα εργα αυτων μηδεν? τα χωνευτα αυτων ανεμος και ματαιοτης.
