Psalms 21

1 Unto the end. A psalm for David.	1 Del maestro de coro. Salmo. De David.
2 In thy strength, O Lord, the king shall joy; and in thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly.	2 Yahveh, en tu fuerza se regocija el rey; ¡oh, y cómo le colma tu salvación de júbilo!
3 Thou hast given him his heart's desire: end hast not withholden from him the will of his lips.	3 Tú le has otorgado el deseo de su corazón, no has rechazado el anhelo de sus labios. Pausa.
4 For thou hast prevented him with blessings of sweetness: thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones.	4 Pues le precedes de venturosas bendiciones, has puesto en su cabeza corona de oro fino;
5 He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever.	5 vida te pidió y se la otorgaste, largo curso de días para siempre jamás.
6 His glory is great in thy salvation: glory and great beauty shalt thou lay upon him.	6 Gran gloria le da tu salvación, le circundas de esplendor y majestad;
7 For thou shalt give him to be a blessing for ever and ever: thou shalt make him joyful in gladness with thy countenance.	7 bendiciones haces de él por siempre, le llenas de alegría delante de tu rostro.
8 For the king hopeth in the Lord: and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.	8 Sí, en Yahveh confía el rey, y por gracia del Altísimo no ha de vacilar.
9 Let thy hand be found by all thy enemies: let thy right hand find out all them that hate thee.	9 Tu mano alcanzará a todos tus enemigos, tu diestra llegará a los que te odian;
10 Thou shalt make them as an oven of fire, in the time of thy anger: the Lord shall trouble them in his wrath, and fire shall devour them.	10 harás de ellos como un horno de fuego, el día de tu rostro; Yahveh los tragará en su cólera, y el fuego los devorará;
11 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth: and their seed from among the children of men.	11 harás perecer su fruto de la tierra, y su semilla de entre los hijos de Adán.
12 For they have intended evils against thee: they have devised counsels which they have not been able to establish.	12 Aunque ellos intenten daño contra ti, aunque tramen un plan, nada podrán.
13 For thou shalt make them turn their back: in thy remnants thou shalt prepare their face.	13 Que tú les harás volver la espalda, ajustarás tu arco contra ellos.
14 Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy own strength: we will sing and praise thy power.	14 ¡Levántate, Yahveh, con tu poder, y cantaremos, salmodiaremos a tu poderío!
