Psalms 107

1 Give glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.	1 Δοξολογειτε τον Κυριον, διοτι ειναι αγαθος, διοτι το ελεος αυτου μενει εις τον αιωνα.
2 Let them say so that have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy: and gathered out of the countries.	2 Ας λεγωσιν ουτως οι λελυτρωμενοι του Κυριου, τους οποιους ελυτρωσεν εκ χειρος του εχθρου?
3 From the rising and the setting of the sun, from the north and from the sea.	3 και συνηγαγεν αυτους εκ των χωρων, απο ανατολης και δυσεως απο βορρα και απο νοτου.
4 They wandered in a wilderness, in a place without water: they found not the way of a city for their habitation.	4 Περιεπλανωντο εν τη ερημω, εν οδω ανυδρω? ουδε ευρισκον πολιν δια κατοικησιν.
5 They were hungry and thirsty: their soul fainted in them.	5 Ησαν πεινωντες και διψωντες? η ψυχη αυτων απεκαμνεν εν αυτοις.
6 And they cried to the Lord in their tribulation: and he delivered them out of their distresses.	6 Τοτε εβοησαν προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων? και ηλευθερωσεν αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων.
7 And he led them into the right way: that they might go to a city of habitation.	7 Και ωδηγησεν αυτους δι' ευθειας οδου, δια να υπαγωσιν εις πολιν κατοικιας.
8 Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him: and his wonderful works to the children of men.	8 Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων?
9 For he hath satisfied the empty soul, and hath filled the hungry soul with good things.	9 Διοτι εχορτασε ψυχην διψωσαν, και ψυχην πεινωσαν ενεπλησεν απο αγαθων.
10 Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death: bound in want and in iron.	10 Τους καθημενους εν σκοτει και σκια θανατου, τους δεδεμενους εν θλιψει και εν σιδηρω?
11 Because they had exasperated the words of God: and provoked the counsel of the most High:	11 διοτι ηπειθησαν εις τα λογια του Θεου και την βουλην του Υψιστου κατεφρονησαν?
12 And their heart was humbled with labours: they were weakened, and their was none to help them.	12 δια τουτο εταπεινωσε την καρδιαν αυτων εν κοπω? επεσον, και δεν υπηρχεν ο βοηθων.
13 Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction: and he delivered them out of their distresses.	13 Τοτε εβοησαν προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων, και εσωσεν αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων?
14 And he brought them out of darkness, and the shadow of death; and broke their bonds in sunder.	14 εξηγαγεν αυτους εκ του σκοτους και εκ της σκιας του θανατου και τα δεσμα αυτων συνετριψεν.
15 Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him, and his wonderful works to the children of men.	15 Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων?
16 Because he hath broken gates of brass, and burst the iron bars.	16 διοτι συνετριψε πυλας χαλκινας και μοχλους σιδηρους κατεκοψεν.
17 He took them out of the way of their iniquity: for they were brought low for their injustices.	17 Οι αφρονες βασανιζονται δια τας παραβασεις αυτων και δια τας ανομιας αυτων.
18 Their soul abhorred all manner of meat: and they drew nigh even to the gates of death.	18 Παν φαγητον βδελυττεται η ψυχη αυτων, και πλησιαζουσιν εως των πυλων του θανατου.
19 And they cried to the Lord in their affliction: and he delivered them out of their distresses.	19 Τοτε βοωσι προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων, και σωζει αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων?
20 He sent his word, and healed them: and delivered them from their destructions.	20 αποστελλει τον λογον αυτου και ιατρευει αυτους και ελευθερονει απο της φθορας αυτων.
21 Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him: and his wonderful works to the children of men.	21 Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου, και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων?
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifice of praise: and declare his works with joy.	22 και ας θυσιαζωσι θυσιας αινεσεως και ας κηρυττωσι τα εργα αυτου εν αγαλλιασει.
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in the great waters:	23 Οι καταβαινοντες εις την θαλασσαν με πλοια, καμνοντες εργασιας εν υδασι πολλοις,
24 These have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.	24 αυτοι βλεπουσι τα εργα του Κυριου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα γινομενα εις τα βαθη?
25 He said the word, and there arose a storm of wind: and the waves thereof were lifted up.	25 Διοτι προσταζει, και εγειρεται ανεμος καταιγιδος, και υψονει τα κυματα αυτης.
26 They mount up to the heavens, and they go down to the depths: their soul pined away with evils.	26 Αναβαινουσιν εως των ουρανων και καταβαινουσιν εως των αβυσσων? η ψυχη αυτων τηκεται υπο της συμφορας.
27 They were troubled, and reeled like a drunken man; and all their wisdom was swallowed up.	27 Σειονται και κλονιζονται ως ο μεθυων, και πασα η σοφια αυτων χανεται.
28 And they cried to the Lord in their affliction: and he brought them out of their distresses.	28 Τοτε κραζουσι προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων, και εξαγει αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων.
29 And he turned the storm into a breeze: and its waves were still.	29 Κατασιγαζει την ανεμοζαλην, και σιωπωσι τα κυματα αυτης.
30 And they rejoiced because they were still: and he brought them to the haven which they wished for.	30 Και ευφραινονται, διοτι ησυχασαν? και οδηγει αυτους εις τον επιθυμητον λιμενα αυτων.
31 Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him, and his wonderful works to the children of men.	31 Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων?
32 And let them exalt him in the church of the people: and praise him in the chair of the ancients.	32 και ας υψονωσιν αυτον εν τη συναξει του λαου, και εν τω συνεδριω των πρεσβυτερων ας αινωσιν αυτον.
33 He hath turned rivers into a wilderness: and the sources of water into dry ground:	33 Μεταβαλλει ποταμους εις ερημον και πηγας υδατων εις ξηρασιαν?
34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.	34 την καρποφορον γην εις αλμυραν, δια την κακιαν των κατοικουντων εν αυτη.
35 He hath turned a wilderness into pools of water, and a dry land into water springs.	35 Μεταβαλλει την ερημον εις λιμνας υδατων και την ξηραν γην εις πηγας υδατων.
36 And hath placed there the hungry; and they made a city for their habitation.	36 Και εκει κατοικιζει τους πεινωντας, και συγκροτουσι πολεις εις κατοικησιν?
37 And they sowed fields, and planted vineyards: and they yielded fruit of birth.	37 και σπειρουσιν αγρους και φυτευουσιν αμπελωνας, οιτινες καμνουσι καρπους γεννηματος.
38 And he blessed them, and they were multiplied exceedingly: and their cattle he suffered not to decrease.	38 Και ευλογει αυτους, και πληθυνονται σφοδρα, και δεν ολιγοστευει τα κτηνη αυτων.
39 Then they were brought to be few: and they were afflicted through the trouble of evils and sorrow.	39 Ολιγοστευουσιν ομως επειτα και ταπεινονονται, απο της στενοχωριας, της συμφορας και του πονου.
40 Contempt was poured forth upon their princes: and he caused them to wander where there was no passing, and out of the way.	40 Επιχεει καταφρονησιν επι τους αρχοντας και καμνει αυτους να περιπλανωνται εν ερημω αβατω.
41 And he helped the poor out of poverty: and made him families like a flock of sheep.	41 Τον δε πενητα υψονει απο της πτωχειας και καθιστα ως ποιμνια τας οικογενειας.
42 The just shall see, and shall rejoice, and all iniquity shall stop their mouth.	42 Οι ευθεις βλεπουσι και ευφραινονται? πασα δε ανομια θελει εμφραξει το στομα αυτης.
43 Who is wise, and will keep these things: and will understand the mercies of the Lord?	43 Οστις ειναι σοφος ας παρατηρη ταυτα? και θελουσιν εννοησει τα ελεη του Κυριου.
