Nehemiah 7

DOUAI-RHEIMS	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Now after the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and numbered the porters and singing men, and Levites:	1 Cuando estuvieron reconstruidas las murallas y yo coloqué las hojas de las puertas, fueron instalados porteros, como así también cantores y levitas.
2 I commanded Hanani my brother, and Hananias ruler of the house of Jerusalem, (for he seemed as a sincere man, and one that feared God above the rest,)	2 Puse al frente de Jerusalén a mi hermano Jananí, y designé a Ananías comandante de la ciudadela, porque era un hombre de confianza y temeroso de Dios, más que muchos otros.
3 And I said to them: Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened till the sun be hot. And while they were yet standing by, the gates were shut, and barred: and I set watchmen of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one by their courses, and every mall over against his house.	3 Luego les dije: «Las puertas de Jerusalén no se abrirán hasta que comience a calentar el sol, y antes que se haya puesto, se las cerrará con barras. Además, los habitantes de Jerusalén montarán guardia, cada uno en su puesto, cada uno en frente de su casa. Lista de los primeros repatriados
4 And the city was very wide and great, and the people few in the midst thereof, and the houses were not built.	4 La ciudad era amplia en todo sentido y espaciosa, pero la población era poco numerosa y no se reconstruían las casas.
5 But God had put in my heart, and I assembled the princes and magistrates, and common people, to number them: and I found a book of the number of them who came up at first, and therein it was found written:	5 Por eso mi Dios me inspiró reunir a los notables, a los magistrados y al pueblo, para hacer el registro genealógico. Busqué el registro de los que habían subido al comienzo y encontré escrito lo siguiente:
6 These are the children of the province, who came up from the captivity of them that had been carried away, whom Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned into Judea, every one into his own city.	6 Estas son las personas de la provincia que volvieron de la cautividad y del exilio. Después de haber sido deportadas por Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, volvieron a Jerusalén y a Judá, cada cual a su ciudad.
7 Who came with Zorobabel, Josue, Nehemias, Azarias, Raamias, Nahamani, Mardochai, Belsam, Mespharath, Begoia, Nahum, Baana. The number of the men of the people of Israel:	7 Llegaron con Zorobabel, Josué, Nehemías, Azarías, Raamías, Najamaní, Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Mispéret, Bigvai, Nejúm y Baaná. Lista de los hombres del pueblo de Israel:
8 The children of Pharos, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.	8 los hijos de Parós: 2.172;
9 The children of Sephatia, three hundred seventy-two.	9 los hijos de Sefatías: 372;

57 The children of the servants of Solomon, the children of Sothai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Pharida,	57 hijos de los esclavos de Salomón: los hijos de Sotai, los hijos de Soféret, los hijos de Peridá,
58 The children of Jahala, the children of Darcon, the children of Jeddel,	58 los hijos de Iaalá, los hijos de Darcón, los hijos de Guidel,

60 All the Nathinites, and the children of the servants of Solomon, three hundred ninety-two.	60 Total de los empleados del Templo y de los hijos de los esclavos de Salomón: 392.
61 And these are they that came up from Telmela, Thelharsa, Cherub, Addon, and Emmer: and could not shew the house of their fathers, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.	61 Provenientes de Tel Melaj, Tel Jarsá, Querub, Adón e Imer, que no pudieron probar si su familia y su raza eran de origen israelita:
62 The children of Dalaia, the children of Tobia, the children of Necoda, six hundred forty-two.	62 los hijos de Delaías, los hijos de Tobías, los hijos de Necodá: 642.
63 And of the priests, the children of Habia, the children of Accos, the children of Berzellai, who took a wife of the daughters of Berzellai the Galaadite, and he was called by their name.	63 Y entre los sacerdotes, los hijos de Jobaías, los hijos de Jacós, los hijos de Barzilai, que se había casado con una de las hijas de Barzilai, el Gaaladita, y adoptó el nombre de este.
64 These sought their writing in the record, and found it not: and they were cast out of the priesthood.	64 Estos buscaron el registro de sus genealogías, pero no lo encontraron; por eso se los excluyó del sacerdocio como ilegítimos,
65 And Athersatha said to them, that they should not eat of the holies of holies, until there stood up a priest learned and skilful.	65 y el gobernador les prohibió comer de las ofrendas sagradas, hasta que un sacerdote consultara a Dios por medio del Urím y el Tumín.
66 All the multitude as it were one man, forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,	66 Toda la asamblea comprendía 42.360 personas,
67 Beside their menservants and womenservants, who were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and among them singing men, and singing women, two hundred forty-five.	67 sin contar sus servidores y servidoras, que eran 7.337. Había también 245 cantores y cantoras.
68 Their horses, seven hundred thirtysix: their mules two hundred forty-five:	68 Sus camellos eran 435 y sus asnos 6.720.
69 Their camels, four hundred thirtyfive, their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.	69 Algunos jefes de familia hicieron ofrendas voluntarias para la obra. El gobernador entregó al Tesoro 1.000 monedas de oro, 50 copas, 30 túnicas sacerdotales y 500 minas de plata.
70 And some of the heads of the families gave unto the work. Athersatha gave into the treasure a thousand drama of gold, fifty bowls, and five hundred and thirty garments for priests.	70 Los jefes de familia entregaron al Tesoro de la obra 20.000 monedas de oro y 2.200 minas de plata.
71 And some of the heads of families gave to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drama of gold, and two thousand two hundred pounds of silver.	71 Lo que entregó el resto del pueblo ascendió a 20.000 monedas de oro, 2.000 monedas de plata y 67 túnicas sacerdotales.
72 And that which the rest of the people gave, was twenty thousand drama of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven garments for priests.	72 Los sacerdotes, los levitas, los porteros, los cantores, una parte del pueblo, los empleados del Templo y todo Israel se establecieron en sus ciudades. Al llegar el séptimo mes, los israelitas estaban establecidos en ellas.
73 And the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singing men, and the rest of the common people, and the Nathinites, and all Israel dwelt in their cities.
