1 And God blessed Noe and his sons. And he said to them: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth.	1 Dio benedisse Noè e i suoi figli e disse loro: «Siate fecondi e moltiplicatevi e riempite la terra.
2 And let the fear and dread of you be upon all the beasts of the earth, and upon all the fowls of the air, and all that move upon the earth: all the fishes of the sea are delivered into your hand.	2 Il timore e il terrore di voi sia in tutti gli animali della terra e in tutti gli uccelli del cielo. Quanto striscia sul suolo e tutti i pesci del mare sono dati in vostro potere.
3 And every thing that moveth and liveth shall be meat for you: even as the green herbs have I delivered them all to you:	3 Ogni essere che striscia e ha vita vi servirà di cibo: vi do tutto questo, come già le verdi erbe.
4 Saving that flesh with blood you shall not eat.	4 Soltanto non mangerete la carne con la sua vita, cioè con il suo sangue.
5 For I will require the blood of your lives at the hand of every beast, and at the hand of man, at the hand of every man, and of his brother, will I require the life of man.	5 Del sangue vostro, ossia della vostra vita, io domanderò conto; ne domanderò conto a ogni essere vivente e domanderò conto della vita dell’uomo all’uomo, a ognuno di suo fratello.
6 Whosoever shall shed man's blood, his blood shall be shed: for man was made to the image of God.	6 Chi sparge il sangue dell’uomo, dall’uomo il suo sangue sarà sparso, perché a immagine di Dio è stato fatto l’uomo.
7 But increase you and multiply, and go upon the earth, and fill it.	7 E voi, siate fecondi e moltiplicatevi, siate numerosi sulla terra e dominatela».
8 This also said God to Noe, and to his sons with him,	8 Dio disse a Noè e ai suoi figli con lui:
9 Behold I will establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you:	9 «Quanto a me, ecco io stabilisco la mia alleanza con voi e con i vostri discendenti dopo di voi,
10 And with every living soul that is with you, as well in all birds as in cattle and beasts of the earth, that are come forth out of the ark, and in all the beasts of the earth.	10 con ogni essere vivente che è con voi, uccelli, bestiame e animali selvatici, con tutti gli animali che sono usciti dall’arca, con tutti gli animali della terra.
11 I will establish my covenant with you, and all flesh shall be no more destroyed with the waters of a flood, neither shall there be from henceforth a flood to waste the earth.	11 Io stabilisco la mia alleanza con voi: non sarà più distrutta alcuna carne dalle acque del diluvio, né il diluvio devasterà più la terra».
12 And God said: This is the sign of the covenant which I will give between me and you, and to every living soul that is with you, for perpetual generations.	12 Dio disse: «Questo è il segno dell’alleanza, che io pongo tra me e voi e ogni essere vivente che è con voi, per tutte le generazioni future.
13 I will set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be the sign of a covenant between me, and between the earth.	13 Pongo il mio arco sulle nubi, perché sia il segno dell’alleanza tra me e la terra.
14 And when I shall cover the sky with clouds, my bow shall appear in the clouds:	14 Quando ammasserò le nubi sulla terra e apparirà l’arco sulle nubi,
15 And I will remember my covenant with you, and with every living soul that beareth flesh: and there shall no more be waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.	15 ricorderò la mia alleanza che è tra me e voi e ogni essere che vive in ogni carne, e non ci saranno più le acque per il diluvio, per distruggere ogni carne.
16 And the bow shall be in the clouds, and I shall see it, and shall remember the everlasting covenant, that was made between God and every living soul of all flesh which is upon the earth.	16 L’arco sarà sulle nubi, e io lo guarderò per ricordare l’alleanza eterna tra Dio e ogni essere che vive in ogni carne che è sulla terra».
17 And God said to Noe: This shall be the sign of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh upon the earth.	17 Disse Dio a Noè: «Questo è il segno dell’alleanza che io ho stabilito tra me e ogni carne che è sulla terra».
18 And the sons of Noe who came out of the ark, were Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and Cham is the father of Chanaan.	18 I figli di Noè che uscirono dall’arca furono Sem, Cam e Iafet; Cam è il padre di Canaan.
19 These three are the sons of Noe: and from these was all mankind spread over the whole earth.	19 Questi tre sono i figli di Noè e da questi fu popolata tutta la terra.
20 And Noe, a husbandman, began to till the ground, and planted a vineyard.	20 Ora Noè, coltivatore della terra, cominciò a piantare una vigna.
21 And drinking of the wine was made drunk, and was uncovered in his tent.	21 Avendo bevuto il vino, si ubriacò e si denudò all’interno della sua tenda.
22 Which when Cham the father of Chaanan had seen, to wit, that his father's nakedness was uncovered, he told it to his two brethren without.	22 Cam, padre di Canaan, vide la nudità di suo padre e raccontò la cosa ai due fratelli che stavano fuori.
23 But Sem and Japheth put a cloak upon their shoulders, and going backward, covered the nakedness of their father: and their faces were turned away, and they saw not their father's nakedness.	23 Allora Sem e Iafet presero il mantello, se lo misero tutti e due sulle spalle e, camminando a ritroso, coprirono la nudità del loro padre; avendo tenuto la faccia rivolta indietro, non videro la nudità del loro padre.
24 And Noe awaking from the wine, when he had learned what his younger son had done to him,	24 Quando Noè si fu risvegliato dall’ebbrezza, seppe quanto gli aveva fatto il figlio minore;
25 He said: Cursed be Chaanan, a servant of servants, shall he be unto his brethren.	25 allora disse: «Sia maledetto Canaan! Schiavo degli schiavi sarà per i suoi fratelli!».
26 And he said: Blessed be the Lord God of Sem, be Chanaan his servant.	26 E aggiunse: «Benedetto il Signore, Dio di Sem, Canaan sia suo schiavo!
27 May God enlarge Japheth, and may he dwell in the tents of Sem, and Chanaan be his servant.	27 Dio dilati Iafet ed egli dimori nelle tende di Sem, Canaan sia suo schiavo!».
28 And Noe lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years:	28 Noè visse, dopo il diluvio, trecentocinquanta anni.
29 And all his days were in the whole nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.	29 L’intera vita di Noè fu di novecentocinquanta anni; poi morì.
