2 Così ha detto il Signore, l’Iddio d’Israele, a te, o Baruc: | 2 'This is what Yahweh God of Israel says about you, Baruch! |
3 Tu hai detto: Ahi lasso me! perciocchè il Signore ha sopraggiunta tristizia al mio dolore; io mi affanno ne’ miei sospiri, e non trovo alcun riposo. | 3 "You have been thinking: what disaster for me, and Yahweh has added further grief to my troubles! Iam worn out with groaning, and find no relief!" |
4 Digli così tu: Così ha detto il Signore: Ecco, io distruggo ciò che io avea edificato, e divello quello che io avea piantato, cioè, tutto questo paese. | 4 Say to him as fol ows, "Yahweh says this: Now I am knocking down what I have built, am uprootingwhat I have planted, over the whole country! |
5 E tu ti cercheresti delle grandezze! non cercarle; perciocchè ecco, io fo venir del male sopra ogni carne, dice il Signore; ma io ti darò l’anima tua per ispoglia, in tutti i luoghi ove tu andrai | 5 And you ask for special treatment! Do not ask, for I am now going to bring disaster on al humanity,Yahweh declares, but you I shal al ow to escape with your life, wherever you may go." ' |
