Geremia 28

DIODATI	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 OR avvenne in quello stesso anno, nel principio del regno di Sedechia, re di Giuda, nell’anno quarto, nel quinto mese, che Anania, figliuolo di Azzur, profeta, ch’era da Gabaon, mi parlò nella Casa del Signore, nel cospetto de’ sacerdoti, e di tutto il popolo, dicendo:	1 And it came to pass in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananias the son of Azur, a prophet of Gabaon spoke to me, in the house of the Lord before the priests, and all the people, saying:
2 Così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele: Io ho rotto il giogo del re di Babilonia.	2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3 Infra lo spazio di due anni io farò riportare in questo luogo tutti gli arredi della Casa del Signore, che Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia, ha tolti di questo luogo, ed ha portati in Babilonia.	3 As yet two years of days, and I will cause all the vessels of the house of the Lord to be brought back into this place, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon.
4 Ed io ricondurrò, dice il Signore, in questo luogo, Geconia, figliuolo di Gioiachim, re di Giuda, e tutti que’ di Giuda, che sono stati menati in cattività, e son venuti in Babilonia; perciocchè io romperò il giogo del re di Babilonia.	4 And I will bring back to this place Jechonias the son of Joakim king of Juda, and all the captives of Juda, that are gone to Babylon, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
5 E il profeta Geremia rispose al profeta Anania, nel cospetto de’ sacerdoti, e nel cospetto di tutto il popolo, ch’era presente nella Casa del Signore,	5 And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord:
6 e disse: Amen; così faccia il Signore; il Signore metta ad effetto le tue parole, che tu hai profetizzate, facendo tornar di Babilonia in questo luogo gli arredi della Casa del Signore, e tutti quelli che sono stati menati in cattività.	6 And Jeremias the prophet said: Amen, the Lord do so: the Lord perform thy words, which thou hast prophesied: that the vessels may be brought again into the house of the Lord, and all the captives may return out of Babylon to this place.
7 Ma pure, ascolta ora questa parola, la quale io pronunzio in presenza tua ed in presenza di tutto il popolo:	7 Nevertheless hear this word that I speak in thy ears, and in the ears of all the people:
8 I profeti che sono stati davanti a me, e davanti a te, ab antico, han profetizzato contro a molti paesi, e contro a gran regni, di guerra, e di fame, e di pestilenza.	8 The prophets that have been before me, and before thee from the beginning, and have prophesied concerning many countries, and concerning great kingdoms, of war, and of affliction, and of famine.
9 Quando la parola del profeta, che avrà profetizzato di pace, sarà avvenuta, egli sarà riconosciuto essere il profeta che il Signore avrà mandato in verità	9 The prophet that prophesied peace when his word shall come to pass, the prophet shall be known, whom the Lord hath sent in truth.
10 Ma il profeta Anania prese il giogo d’in sul collo del profeta Geremia, e lo ruppe.	10 And Hananias the prophet took the chain from the neck of Jeremias the prophet, and broke it.
11 Ed Anania parlò nel cospetto di tutto il popolo, dicendo: Così ha detto il Signore: In questo modo romperò, infra lo spazio di due anni, il giogo di Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia, d’in sul collo di tutte le nazioni. E il profeta Geremia se ne andò a suo cammino.	11 And Hananias spoke in the presence of all the people, saying: Thus saith the Lord: Even so will I break the yoke of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon after two full years from off the neck of all the nations.
12 E la parola del Signore fu indirizzata a Geremia, dopo che il profeta Anania ebbe rotto il giogo d’in sul collo del profeta Geremia, dicendo:	12 And Jeremias the prophet went his way. And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, after that Hananias the prophet had broken the chain from off the neck of Jeremias the prophet, saying:
13 Va’, e parla ad Anania, dicendo: Così ha detto il Signore: Tu hai rotti i gioghi di legno; ma fattene, in luogo di quelli, degli altri di ferro.	13 Go, and tell Hananias: Thus saith the Lord: Thou hast broken chains of wood, and thou shalt make for them chains of iron.
14 Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele: Io ho messo un giogo di ferro in sul collo di tutte queste nazioni; acciocchè servano a Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia; e gli serviranno; gli ho eziandio dato fino alle fiere della campagna.	14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, to serve Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and they shall serve him: moreover also I have given him the beasts of the earth.
15 Poi il profeta Geremia disse al profeta Anania: Deh! ascolta, o Anania: Il Signore non ti ha mandato, e tu hai fatto confidar questo popolo in menzogna.	15 And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet: Hear now, Hananias: the Lord hath not sent thee, and thou hast made this people to trust in a lie.
16 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore: Ecco, io ti scaccio d’in su la faccia della terra; quest’anno tu morrai; perchè tu hai parlato di ribellione contro al Signore.	16 Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die: for thou hast spoken against the Lord.
17 E il profeta Anania morì quello stesso anno, nel settimo mese	17 And Hananias the prophet died in that year, in the seventh month.
