1 ALLELUIA, Beato l’uomo che teme il Signore, E si diletta sommamente ne’ suoi comandamenti.	1 Hallelujah! Happy are those who fear the LORD, who greatly delight in God's commands.
2 La sua progenie sarà possente in terra; La generazione degli uomini diritti sarà benedetta.	2 Their descendants shall be mighty in the land, generation upright and blessed.
3 Facoltà e ricchezze son nella sua casa, E la sua giustizia dimora in perpetuo.	3 Wealth and riches shall be in their homes; their prosperity shall endure forever.
4 La luce si leva nelle tenebre a quelli che son diritti. Un tale uomo è pietoso, misericordioso, e giusto.	4 They shine through the darkness, a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and just.
5 L’uomo da bene dona, e presta; E governa i fatti suoi con dirittura	5 All goes well for those gracious in lending, who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 Certo egli non sarà giammai smosso; Il giusto sarà in memoria perpetua.	6 They shall never be shaken; the just shall be remembered forever.
7 Egli non temerà di mal grido; Il suo cuore è fermo, egli si confida nel Signore.	7 They shall not fear an ill report; their hearts are steadfast, trusting the LORD.
8 Il suo cuore è bene appoggiato, egli non avrà paura alcuna, Finchè vegga ne’ suoi nemici ciò ch’egli desidera.	8 Their hearts are tranquil, without fear, till at last they look down on their foes.
9 Egli ha sparso, egli ha donato a’ bisognosi; La sua giustizia dimora in perpetuo, Il suo corno sarà alzato in gloria.	9 Lavishly they give to the poor; their prosperity shall endure forever; their horn shall be exalted in honor.
10 L’empio lo vedrà, e dispetterà; Egli digrignerà i denti, e si struggerà; Il desiderio degli empi perirà	10 The wicked shall be angry to see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the desires of the wicked come to nothing.
