1 ¡Escuchen, reyes, y comprendan! ¡Aprendan, jueces de los confines de la tierra!	1 Wisdom is better than power, and a prudent man is better than a powerful one.
2 ¡Presten atención, los que dominan multitudes y están orgullosos de esa muchedumbre de naciones!	2 Therefore, hear, O kings, and understand; learn, you judges of the ends of the earth.
3 Porque el Señor les ha dado el dominio, y el poder lo han recibo del Altísimo: él examinará las obras de ustedes y juzgará sus designios,	3 Listen closely, you who hold the attention of the crowds, and who please yourselves by disturbing the nations.
4 Ya que ustedes, siendo ministros de su reino, no han gobernado con rectitud ni han respetado la Ley ni han obrado según la voluntad de Dios	4 For power has been given to you from the Lord and strength from the Most High, who will examine your works and scrutinize your thoughts.
5 él caerá sobre ustedes en forma terrible y repentina, ya que un juicio inexorable espera a los que están arriba.	5 For, when you were ministers of his kingdom, you did not judge correctly, nor keep the law of justice, nor walk according to the will of God.
6 Al pequeño, por piedad, se le perdona, pero los poderosos serán examinados con rigor.	6 Horribly and quickly he will appear to you, because he will make a severe judgment for those who are in charge.
7 Porque el Señor de todos no retrocede ante nadie, ni lo intimida la grandeza: él hizo al pequeño y al grande, y cuida de todos por igual,	7 For, to the little, great mercy is granted, but the powerful will endure powerful torment.

11 Deseen, entonces, mis palabras; búsquenlas ardientemente, y serán instruidos. Encuentro con la Sabiduría	11 For those who have justly preserved justice will be justified, and those who have learned these things will find what to answer.
12 La Sabiduría es luminosa y nunca pierde su brillo: se deja contemplar fácilmente por los que la aman y encontrar por los que la buscan.	12 Therefore, desire my words, love them, and you will have instruction.
13 Ella se anticipa a darse a conocer a los que la desean.	13 Wisdom is pure and never fades away, and is easily seen by those who love her and found by those who seek her.

15 Meditar en ella es la perfección de la prudencia, y el que se desvela por su causa pronto quedará libre de inquietudes.	15 Whoever awakens early to seek her, will not labor, for he will find her sitting at his door.
16 La Sabiduría busca por todas partes a los que son dignos de ella, se les aparece con benevolencia en los caminos y les sale al encuentro en todos sus pensamientos.	16 Therefore, by thinking about her, understanding is perfected, and whoever remains watchful for her, will quickly be secure.
17 El comienzo de la Sabiduría es el verdadero deseo de instruirse, querer instruirse, es amarla;	17 For she goes about seeking such as are worthy of her, and she reveals herself to them cheerfully in the ways, and meets them with all foresight.
18 amarla, es cumplir sus leyes, observar sus leyes, es garantía de incorruptibilidad,	18 For the very true beginning of her is the desire for instruction.
19 y la incorruptibilidad hace estar cerca de Dios:	19 Therefore, the zeal for instruction is love, and love is the keeping of her laws, and the keeping of her laws is the perfection of incorruptibility,

21 Si a ustedes, entonces, soberanos de los pueblos, les agradan los tronos y los cetros, honren a la Sabiduría y reinarán para siempre.	21 And so, the desire for wisdom leads to an everlasting kingdom.
22 ¿Pero qué es la Sabiduría y cuál es su origen? Yo lo voy a anunciar, sin ocultarles sus misterios: me remontaré hasta sus orígenes más remotos, pondré al descubierto su conocimiento, y no me apartaré de la verdad.	22 If, therefore, your delight is in thrones and scepters, O kings of the people, love wisdom, so that you may reign forever;

24 Una multitud de sabios es la salvación del mundo, y un rey sensato asegura la estabilidad de su pueblo.	24 But what wisdom is, and how she was made, I will report, and I will not hide the mysteries of God from you, but I will investigate her from the beginning of her birth, and I will place the knowledge of her in the light, and will not pass over the truth.
25 Por lo tanto, déjense instruir por mis palabras, y esto les resultará provechoso.	25 Neither will I hold to the path that dwindles away with envy, because such a man will not partake in wisdom.
	26 For the proliferation of the wise is sanity for the world, and a wise king is the mainstay of the people.
	27 Therefore, receive instruction by my words, and it will benefit you.
