1 Ils apportèrent l’Arche de Dieu et l’installèrent dans la tente que David avait préparée pour elle, puis on offrit à Dieu de l’encens et des offrandes de paix.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 Après avoir offert les holocaustes et les sacrifices de communion, David bénit le peuple au nom de Yahvé.	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 Puis il distribua à tous les Israélites, hommes et femmes, à chacun une miche de pain, un morceau de viande rôtie et un gâteau de raisins.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 David désigna quelques-uns des lévites pour servir devant l’Arche de Yahvé, pour célébrer, remercier et rendre gloire à Yahvé Dieu d’Israël:	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 d’abord Asaf, ensuite Zékaryas, puis Ouziel, Chémiramot, Yéhiel, Mattityas, Éliab, Bénayas, Obed-Édom, Yéhiel. Ils jouaient de la harpe et de la lyre pendant qu’Asaf faisait retentir les cymbales.	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 Les prêtres Bénayas et Yahaziel jouaient sans interruption de la trompette devant l’Arche de l’Alliance de Dieu.	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Ce jour-là, pour la première fois, David chargea Asaf et ses frères de rendre grâces:	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 Rendez grâce à Yahvé, invoquez son Nom, Proclamez ses hauts faits parmi les peuples.	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 Chantez pour lui, chantez ses louanges, Racontez toutes ses merveilles.	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 Gloire à son Saint Nom, Que les cœurs qui cherchent Yahvé se réjouissent!	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 Cherchez Yahvé et sa puissance, Cherchez sa face inlassablement,	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Rappelez-vous les merveilles qu’il a faites, Ses miracles, les jugements qui sont sortis de sa bouche.	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 Descendants d’Israël, son serviteur, Fils de Jacob, son élu.	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 C’est Yahvé notre Dieu, Ses lois emplissent toute la terre.	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Souvenez-vous de son alliance à jamais, De sa promesse faite à mille générations.	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 De l’Alliance qu’il a faite pour toujours avec Abraham, De sa promesse à Isaac,	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 il en a fait une loi pour Jacob, Une alliance éternelle pour Israël.	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 Il a dit: “Je vous donne en héritage, La terre de Canaan;	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 Vous étiez pourtant peu nombreux, Étrangers aux pays, vous ne comptiez pour rien.”	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 Ils erraient de nation en nation, D’un royaume à l’autre.	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 Mais il ne laissa personne les opprimer, Et punit des rois par égard pour eux.	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 “Ne touchez pas à mes oints, Ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes. ”	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Chantez pour Yahvé, toute la terre. Proclamez jour après jour son salut.	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 Annoncez sa gloire parmi les nations, Ses merveilles à tous les peuples.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Yahvé est grand et mérite les louanges, il est plus redoutable que tous les dieux.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Moins que rien sont les dieux des nations, C’est Yahvé lui-même qui fit les cieux.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Splendeur et majesté s’avancent devant lui, Louange et joie sont dans son sanctuaire.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 Rendez à Yahvé, familles des peuples, Rendez à Yahvé gloire et louange.	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 Rendez à Yahvé la gloire de son Nom. Apportez des offrandes et prosternez-vous devant lui. Servez Yahvé en ornements sacrés.	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 Sois attentive, terre entière, devant lui! Fort, il a fait le monde, il ne peut être ébranlé.	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Que les cieux se réjouissent, que la terre exulte de joie! Annoncez à toutes les nations: Yahvé est roi!	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 Que gronde la mer et tout ce qu’elle contient, Que jubilent les champs et tout ce qui est en eux.	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Que les arbres de la forêt crient de joie En présence de Yahvé, Car il vient pour gouverner la terre.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 Rendez grâce à Yahvé, car il est bon, Son amour durera toujours.	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 Dites: “Sauve-nous, ô Dieu, notre Sauveur, Rassemble-nous et délivre-nous d’entre les nations, pour que nous puissions rendre grâce à ton saint Nom? Et que notre gloire soit de te louer.	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Béni soit Yahvé Dieu d’Israël, Éternellement et pour toujours! Que tous les peuples disent: Amen, Alléluia!”	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 David laissa là, devant l’Arche d’Alliance de Yahvé, Asaf et ses frères lévites pour le service de l’Arche selon le rituel de chaque jour.	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 Il laissa aussi Obed-Édom avec ses 68 frères. Obed-Édom, fils de Yédoutoun, et Hosa étaient les gardiens de la porte.	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 Il laissa Sadoq et les prêtres, ses frères, devant la Sainte Tente de Yahvé sur le Haut-Lieu qui est à Gabaon,	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 pour offrir l’holocauste à Yahvé, matin et soir, sur l’autel de l’holocauste, et pour accomplir tout ce qui est écrit dans la Loi que Yahvé a prescrite à Israël.	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 Avec eux se trouvaient Héman et Yédoutoun, et d’autres choisis et désignés par leurs noms pour rendre gloire à Dieu: “Car son amour est éternel.”	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 Avec eux étaient ceux qui devaient jouer de la trompette, des cymbales et de tous les instruments de musique pour accompagner les hymnes à Dieu. Les fils de Yédoutoun se tenaient à la porte.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 Après cela tous repartirent, chacun chez lui; David aussi s’en retourna pour bénir sa maison.	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
