1 I want to make quite clear to you, brothers, what the message of the gospel that I preached to you is;you accepted it and took your stand on it,	1 Przypominam, bracia, Ewangelię, którą wam głosiłem, którąście przyjęli i w której też trwacie.
2 and you are saved by it, if you keep to the message I preached to you; otherwise your coming tobelieve was in vain.	2 Przez nią również będziecie zbawieni, jeżeli ją zachowacie tak, jak wam rozkazałem... Chyba żebyście uwierzyli na próżno.
3 The tradition I handed on to you in the first place, a tradition which I had myself received, was thatChrist died for our sins, in accordance with the scriptures,	3 Przekazałem wam na początku to, co przejąłem; że Chrystus umarł - zgodnie z Pismem - za nasze grzechy,
4 and that he was buried; and that on the third day, he was raised to life, in accordance with thescriptures;	4 że został pogrzebany, że zmartwychwstał trzeciego dnia, zgodnie z Pismem;

9 For I am the least of the apostles and am not real y fit to be called an apostle, because I had beenpersecuting the Church of God;	9 Jestem bowiem najmniejszy ze wszystkich apostołów i niegodzien zwać się apostołem, bo prześladowałem Kościół Boży.
10 but what I am now, I am through the grace of God, and the grace which was given to me has notbeen wasted. Indeed, I have worked harder than all the others -- not I, but the grace of God which is with me.	10 Lecz za łaską Boga jestem tym, czym jestem, a dana mi łaska Jego nie okazała się daremna; przeciwnie, pracowałem więcej od nich wszystkich, nie ja, co prawda, lecz łaska Boża ze mną.
11 Anyway, whether it was they or I, this is what we preach and what you believed.	11 Tak więc czy to ja, czy inni, tak nauczamy i tak wyście uwierzyli.
12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you be saying that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Jeżeli zatem głosi się, że Chrystus zmartwychwstał, to dlaczego twierdzą niektórzy spośród was, że nie ma zmartwychwstania?
13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ cannot have been raised either,	13 Jeśli nie ma zmartwychwstania, to i Chrystus nie zmartwychwstał.
14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without substance, and so is your faith.	14 A jeśli Chrystus nie zmartwychwstał, daremne jest nasze nauczanie, próżna jest także wasza wiara.
15 What is more, we have proved to be false witnesses to God, for testifying against God that he raisedChrist to life when he did not raise him -- if it is true that the dead are not raised.	15 Okazuje się bowiem, żeśmy byli fałszywymi świadkami Boga, skoro umarli nie zmartwychwstają, przeciwko Bogu świadczyliśmy, że z martwych wskrzesił Chrystusa.
16 For, if the dead are not raised, neither is Christ;	16 Skoro umarli nie zmartwychwstają, to i Chrystus nie zmartwychwstał.
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is pointless and you have not, after al , been releasedfrom your sins.	17 A jeżeli Chrystus nie zmartwychwstał, daremna jest wasza wiara i aż dotąd pozostajecie w swoich grzechach.
18 In addition, those who have fal en asleep in Christ are utterly lost.	18 Tak więc i ci, co pomarli w Chrystusie, poszli na zatracenie.
19 If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are of al people the most pitiable.	19 Jeżeli tylko w tym życiu w Chrystusie nadzieję pokładamy, jesteśmy bardziej od wszystkich ludzi godni politowania.

23 but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belongto him.	23 lecz każdy według własnej kolejności. Chrystus jako pierwszy, potem ci, co należą do Chrystusa, w czasie Jego przyjścia.
24 After that wil come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolishedevery principality, every ruling force and power.	24 Wreszcie nastąpi koniec, gdy przekaże królowanie Bogu i Ojcu i gdy pokona wszelką Zwierzchność, Władzę i Moc.
25 For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool,	25 Trzeba bowiem, ażeby królował, aż położy wszystkich nieprzyjaciół pod swoje stopy.
26 and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put al things under his feet.	26 Jako ostatni wróg, zostanie pokonana śmierć.

29 Otherwise, what are people up to who have themselves baptised on behalf of the dead? If the deadare not raised at al , what is the point of being baptised on their behalf?	29 Bo inaczej czegoż dokonają ci, co przyjmują chrzest za zmarłych? Jeżeli umarli w ogóle nie zmartwychwstają, to czemuż za nich chrzest przyjmują?
30 And what about us? Why should we endanger ourselves every hour of our lives?	30 Po co też i my wystawiamy się na niebezpieczeństwo każdej godziny?
31 I swear by the pride that I take in you, in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I face death every day.	31 Zapewniam was, przez chlubę, jaką mam z was w Jezusie Chrystusie, Panu naszym, że każdego dnia umieram.
32 If I fought wild animals at Ephesus in a purely human perspective, what had I to gain by it?	32 Jeżeli tylko ze względu na ludzi potykałem się w Efezie z dzikimi zwierzętami, to cóż mi stąd za pożytek? Skoro zmarli nie zmartwychwstają, to jedzmy i pijmy, bo jutro pomrzemy.
33 If the dead are not going to be raised, then Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall be dead.	33 Nie łudźcie się! Wskutek złych rozmów psują się dobre obyczaje
34 So do not let anyone lead you astray, 'Bad company corrupts good ways.' Wake up from your stuporas you should and leave sin alone; some of you have no understanding of God; I tel you this to instil someshame in you.	34 Ocknijcie się naprawdę i przestańcie grzeszyć! Są bowiem wśród was tacy, co nie uznają Boga. Ku waszemu zawstydzeniu to mówię!
35 Someone may ask: How are dead people raised, and what sort of body do they have when theycome?	35 Lecz powie ktoś: A jak zmartwychwstają umarli? W jakim ukazują się ciele?
36 How foolish! What you sow must die before it is given new life;	36 O, niemądry! Przecież to, co siejesz, nie ożyje, jeżeli wprzód nie obumrze.
37 and what you sow is not the body that is to be, but only a bare grain, of wheat I dare say, or someother kind;	37 To, co zasiewasz, nie jest od razu ciałem, którym ma się stać potem, lecz zwykłym ziarnem, na przykład pszenicznym lub jakimś innym.
38 it is God who gives it the sort of body that he has chosen for it, and for each kind of seed its own kindof body.	38 Bóg zaś takie daje mu ciało, jakie zechciał; każdemu z nasion właściwe.
39 Not al flesh is the same flesh: there is human flesh; animals have another kind of flesh, birds anotherand fish yet another.	39 Nie wszystki ciała są takie same: inne są ciała ludzi, inne zwierząt, inne wreszcie ptaków i ryb.
40 Then there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the heavenly have a splendour of their own, andthe earthly a different splendour.	40 Są ciała niebieskie i ziemskie, lecz inne jest piękno ciał niebieskich, inne - ziemskich.
41 The sun has its own splendour, the moon another splendour, and the stars yet another splendour;and the stars differ among themselves in splendour.	41 Inny jest blask słońca, a inny - księżyca i gwiazd. Jedna gwiazda różni się jasnością od drugiej.
42 It is the same too with the resurrection of the dead: what is sown is perishable, but what is raised isimperishable;	42 Podobnie rzecz się ma ze zmartwychwstaniem. Zasiewa się zniszczalne - powstaje zaś niezniszczalne;
43 what is sown is contemptible but what is raised is glorious; what is sown is weak, but what is raisedis powerful;	43 sieje się niechwalebne - powstaje chwalebne; sieje się słabe - powstaje mocne;
44 what is sown is a natural body, and what is raised is a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, thereis a spiritual body too.	44 zasiewa się ciało zmysłowe - powstaje ciało duchowe. Jeżeli jest ciało ziemskie powstanie też ciało niebieskie.
45 So the first man, Adam, as scripture says, became a living soul; and the last Adam has become alife-giving spirit.	45 Tak też jest napisane: Stał się pierwszy człowiek , Adam, duszą żyjącą, a ostatni Adam duchem ożywiającym.
46 But first came the natural body, not the spiritual one; that came only afterwards.	46 Nie było jednak wpierw tego, co duchowe, ale to, co ziemskie; duchowe było potem.
47 The first man, being made of earth, is earthly by nature; the second man is from heaven.	47 Pierwszy człowiek z ziemi - ziemski, drugi Człowiek - z nieba.

50 What I am saying, brothers, is that mere human nature cannot inherit the kingdom of God: what isperishable cannot inherit what is imperishable.	50 Zapewniam was, bracia, że ciało i krew nie mogą posiąść królestwa Bożego, i że to, co zniszczalne, nie może mieć dziedzictwa w tym, co niezniszczalne.
51 Now I am going to tel you a mystery: we are not al going to fal asleep,	51 Oto ogłaszam wam tajemnicę: nie wszyscy pomrzemy, lecz wszyscy będziemy odmienieni.
52 but we are al going to be changed, instantly, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpetsounds. The trumpet is going to sound, and then the dead wil be raised imperishable, and we shal be changed,	52 W jednym momencie, w mgnieniu oka, na dźwięk ostatniej trąby - zabrzmi bowiem trąba - umarli powstaną nienaruszeni, a my będziemy odmienieni.
53 because this perishable nature of ours must put on imperishability, this mortal nature must put onimmortality.	53 Trzeba, ażeby to, co zniszczalne, przyodziało się w niezniszczalność, a to, co śmiertelne, przyodziało się w nieśmiertelność.
54 And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put onimmortality, then wil the words of scripture come true: Death is swal owed up in victory.	54 A kiedy już to, co zniszczalne, przyodzieje się w niezniszczalność, a to, co śmiertelne, przyodzieje się w nieśmiertelność, wtedy sprawdzą się słowa, które zostały napisane: Zwycięstwo pochłonęło śmierć.

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin comes from the Law.	56 Ościeniem zaś śmierci jest grzech, a siłą grzechu Prawo.
57 Thank God, then, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.	57 Bogu niech będą dzięki za to, że dał nam odnieść zwycięstwo przez Pana naszego Jezusa Chrystusa.
58 So, my dear brothers, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord's work,being sure that in the Lord none of your labours is wasted.	58 Przeto, bracia moi najmilsi, bądźcie wytrwali i niezachwiani, zajęci zawsze ofiarnie dziełem Pańskim, pamiętając, że trud wasz nie pozostaje daremny w Panu.
