Isaiah 1

NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 The vision of Isaiah son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem, which he received in the reigns ofUzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah kings of Judah.	1 Видіння Ісаї, сина Амоса, яке він бачив про Юдею та Єрусалим за часів Уззії, Йотама, Ахаза й Єзекії, царів юдейських.
2 Listen, you heavens; earth, attend, for Yahweh is speaking, 'I have reared children and brought them up,but they have rebel ed against me.	2 Слухайте, небеса, вважай, земле, бо Господь говорить: «Дітей я виховав і виростив, а вони збунтувались проти мене.
3 The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master's crib; Israel does not know, my people do notunderstand.'	3 Віл знає господаря свого, а осел — ясла пана свого. Ізраїль нічого не знає, народ мій не розуміє.»
4 Disaster, sinful nation, people weighed down with guilt, race of wrong-doers, perverted children! Theyhave abandoned Yahweh, despised the Holy One of Israel, they have turned away from him.	4 Ой, люде грішний, народе, придавлений беззаконням, кубло лиходіїв, розбещені сини! Покинули Господа, занедбали Ізраїлевого Святого, відступились назад від нього!
5 Where shal I strike you next, if you persist in treason? The whole head is sick, the whole heart isdiseased,	5 По чому вас іще бити, вас, що не перестаєте бунтуватися? Кожна голова хвора, кожне серце ослабло.
6 from the sole of the foot to the head there is nothing healthy: only wounds, bruises and open sores notdressed, not bandaged, not soothed with ointment,	6 Від підошви на нозі до тім’я нема в ньому здорового місця: рани, синці, свіжі виразки, не вичищені, не перев’язані й не зм’якшені олією.
7 your country a desolation, your towns burnt down, your soil, foreigners lay it waste before your eyes, adesolation like devastation by foreigners.	7 Земля ваша спустошена, міста ваші спалені вогнем, поля ваші у вас на очах чужинці пожирають: вони спустошені, як по знищенні Содому.
8 The daughter of Zion is left like a shanty in a vineyard, like a shed in a cucumber field, like a citybesieged.	8 Зосталася дочка сіонська, немов у винограднику халупа, немов курінь на баштані, немов обложене місто.
9 Had Yahweh Sabaoth not left us a few survivors, we should be like Sodom, we should be the same asGomorrah.	9 Якби Господь сил не зоставив нам останку, були б ми, як Содом, були б схожі на Гомору.
10 Hear what Yahweh says, you rulers of Sodom; listen to what our God teaches, you people ofGomorrah.	10 Слухайте слово Господнє, князі содомські! Вважай на науку Бога нашого, народе гоморський!
11 'What are your endless sacrifices to me?' says Yahweh. 'I am sick of burnt offerings of rams and the fatof calves. I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.	11 «Навіщо мені безліч ваших жертв? — говорить Господь. Я пересичений всепаленнями баранів і ситтю годованих телят. Крови биків, ягнят та козлят я не хочу.
12 When you come and present yourselves before me, who has asked you to trample through my courts?	12 Як приходите, щоб з’явитись перед моїм обличчям, то хто від вас вимагає, щоб ви топтали мої двори?
13 Bring no more futile cereal offerings, the smoke from them fil s me with disgust. New Moons, Sabbaths,assemblies -- I cannot endure solemnity combined with guilt.	13 Не приносьте більше пустих дарів! Кадило стало осоружним для мене. Нових місяців, субот і скликання сходин я не можу стерпіти: беззаконня разом з урочистим зібранням.
14 Your New Moons and your meetings I utterly detest; to me they are a burden I am tired of bearing.	14 Від новомісяччів ваших та святкувань ваших відвертається душа моя. Вони для мене стали тягарем, вони мені незносні.
15 When you stretch out your hands I turn my eyes away. You may multiply your prayers, I shal not belistening. Your hands are covered in blood,	15 Коли ви простягаєте руки ваші, я відвертаю від вас мої очі. Навіть коли помножуєте молитви ваші, я їх не чую. Руки ваші повні крови.
16 wash, make yourselves clean. Take your wrong-doing out of my sight. Cease doing evil.	16 Обмийтеся, станьте чистими; усуньте з-перед моїх очей нікчемні ваші вчинки; перестаньте чинити зло!
17 Learn to do good, search for justice, discipline the violent, be just to the orphan, plead for the widow.	17 Навчітеся добро чинити; шукайте правди, захищайте пригнобленого, обороняйте сироту, заступайтеся за вдову!
18 'Come, let us talk this over,' says Yahweh. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shal be white assnow; though they are red as crimson, they shal be like wool.	18 Ходіть же й розсудимось, — говорить Господь. Коли б гріхи ваші були, як багряниця, вони стануть білими, як сніг; коли б, мов кармазин, були червоні, стануть, як вовна.
19 If you are willing to obey, you shall eat the good things of the earth.	19 Як схочете бути слухняними, то їстимете від благ країни.
20 But if you refuse and rebel, the sword shal eat you instead -- for Yahweh's mouth has spoken.'	20 А як затнетеся й бунтуватиметесь, то меч пожере вас, бо уста Господні так говорять.»
21 The faithful city, what a harlot she has become! Zion, once ful of fair judgement, where saving justiceused to dwell, but now assassins!	21 Ой, якою ж стала повією столиця вірна, сповнена правосуддя, в якій панувала справедливість, тепер же — душогубці!
22 Your silver has turned into dross, your wine is watered.	22 Срібло твоє жужеллю стало, вино твоє розчинене водою.
23 Your princes are rebels, accomplices of brigands. Al of them greedy for presents and eager for bribes,they show no justice to the orphan, and the widow's cause never reaches them.	23 Князі твої — бунтарі й спільники злодіїв; усі на гостинці ласі, за дарунками так і женуться. Сироту вони не обороняють, а справа вдовиці до них не доходить.
24 Hence, the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth, the Mighty One of Israel, says this, 'Disaster, I shall get the better ofmy enemies, I shall avenge myself on my foes.	24 Тим то ось слово Владики, Господа сил, Ізраїлевого Сильного: «О, я відплачу моїм противникам і воздам моїм ворогам!
25 'I shal turn my hand against you, I shal purge your dross as though with potash, I shal remove al youral oy.	25 Я простягну на тебе мою руку і розтоплю в горнилі твою жужель та відділю все оливо від тебе.
26 'And I shal restore your judges as at first, your counsel ors as in bygone days, after which you wil becal ed City of Saving Justice, Faithful City.'	26 Поверну тобі правителів, як здавна було, і радників твоїх, як колись було. Тоді назвуть тебе містом правди, столицею вірною.»
27 Zion wil be redeemed by fair judgement, and those who return, by saving justice.	27 Сіон буде відкуплений правосуддям, а його навернені — справедливістю.
28 Rebels and sinners alike wil be destroyed, and those who abandon Yahweh wil perish.	28 А всім відступникам і грішникам — погибель, і ті, що Господа покидають, загинуть.
29 How ashamed you wil be of the terebinths which gave you such delight; and how you wil blush for thegardens which you chose!	29 Ви будете соромитися дубів, що вам такі любі; ви будете стидатися садів, що вам такі милі.
30 For you wil be like a terebinth with faded leaves, like a garden without water;	30 Ви станете, як дуб, на якім зів’яло листя, і як той сад, що води не має.
31 the strong wil become like tinder, his work like the spark; both wil go up in flames together, with no oneto put them out.	31 Потужний стане клоччям, праця ж його — іскрою. Вони горітимуть обоє разом, і нікому буде гасити.
