1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.	1 Ai dos pastores, que perdem e despedaçam o rebanho da minha pastagem! - diz o Senhor.
2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.	2 Portanto eis o que diz o Senhor Deus de Israel aos pastores, que apascentam o meu povo: Dispersastes e repelistes as minhas ovelhas, não tivestes cuidado delas. Pois vou ocupar-me de vós pelas vossas obras más, diz o Senhor.
3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.	3 Juntarei o resto das minhas ovelhas de todas as terras, para onde eu as tiver lançado, e fá-las-ei voltar aos seus prados, onde crescerão e se multiplicarão.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.	4 Estabelecerei sobre elas pastores que as apascentarão: não terão mais medo nem sobressalto, e não se perderá nenhuma, diz o Senhor.
5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.	5 Eis vêm dias, diz o Senhor, em que suscitarei a Davide um germen justo; reinará como rei sábio, praticará o direito e a justiça na terra.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.	6 Nesses dias Judá será salvo e Israel habitará sem temor. Eis o nome por que o chamarão: Iavé, nossa justiça.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;	7 Por esta causa eis que vêm dias, diz o Senhor, em que já não dirão: Vive o Senhor, que tirou os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito -
8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.	8 mas sim: Vive o Senhor, que tirou e trouxe a linhagem da casa de Israel da terra do Aquilão e de todas as terras, para onde os tinha lançado, e os fez habitar na sua terra.
9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.	9 Sobre os profetas. - O meu coração (diz Jeremias) está feito em pedaços dentro de mim mesmo, todos os meus ossos estremecem. Sou como um homem ébrio, como um homem cheio de vinho, por causa do Senhor e da sua santa palavra (tão desprezada pelo seu povo).
10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.	10 Porque a terra está cheia de adúlteros, porque a terra chora à vista da maldição e secaram-se as pastagens do deserto. A sua carreira é atrás da maldade, a sua força é a injustiça.
11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.	11 Até o profeta e o sacerdote se corromperam, e mesmo na minha casa encontrei os males que eles lá cometeram, diz o Senhor.
12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.	12 Por isso o seu caminho será como um caminho escorregadio nas trevas; serão impelidos e cairão nele, porque farei vir sobre eles males no tempo em que eu os castigar, diz o Senhor.
13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.	13 Nos profetas da Samaria vi a insensatez: profetizavam em nome de Baal e seduziam o meu povo de Israel!
14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.	14 Aos profetas de Jerusalém vi coisas horríveis: o adultério, a mentira; fortificaram as mãos dos malvados, para que nenhum se convertesse da sua maldade. Tornaram-se todos para mim como Sodoma, e os moradores de Jerusalém como Gomorra.
15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.	15 Portanto isto diz o Senhor dos exércitos acerca dos profetas: Vou alimentá-los com absinto e dar-lhes a beber águas envenenadas, porque dos profetas de Jerusalém é que se derramou a corrupção sobre toda a terra.
16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.	16 Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos: Não queirais ouvir as palavras dos profetas, que vos profetizam: enganam-vos, contam as visões do seu coração, e não (o que sai) da boca do Senhor.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.	17 Dizem àqueles que me desprezam: O Senhor disse: Vós tereis a paz. E a todos aqueles que seguem a perversidade do seu coração dizem: Não virá sobre vós mal algum.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?	18 Mas quem assistiu ao conselho do Senhor, e viu e ouviu a sua palavra? Quem prestou atenção à sua palavra e a ouviu?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.	19 Eis que se levantará o redemoinho da indignação do Senhor, e a tempestade desencadeada cairá sobre a cabeça dos ímpios.
20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.	20 O furor do Senhor não retrocederá até que efetue e cumpra o desígnio do seu coração; nos últimos dias entenderás o desígnio (sobre vós).
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.	21 Eu não enviava estes (falsos) profetas e eles corriam; não lhes dizia nada, e eles profetizavam.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.	22 Se tivessem assistido ao meu conselho, teriam feito saber as minhas palavras ao meu povo, tê-lo-iam desviado do seu mau caminho e das suas depravadas obras.
23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?	23 Porventura eu sou (sòmente) Deus de perto, diz o Senhor, e não também Deus de longe?
24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.	24 Poderá alguém ocultar-se em lugares secretos, sem que eu o veja? - diz o Senhor. Porventura não encho o céu e a terra? - diz o Senhor.
25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.	25 Eu ouvi as falas dos profetas, que em meu nome profetizavam a mentira e diziam: Tive um sonho, tive um sonho.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;	26 Até quando há-de durar esta ideia no coração dos profetas que vaticinam a mentira, que profetizam as imposturas do seu coração?
27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.	27 Querem fazer que o meu povo se esqueça do meu nome, pelos sonhos que contam uns aos outros, como seus pais se esqueceram do meu nome, por causa de Baal.
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.	28 O profeta que tem um sonho, conte o seu sonho; o que tem a minha palavra, anuncie a minha palavra com toda a verdade (e ver-se-á a diferença). Que comparação há entre a palha e o trigo, diz o Senhor?
29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?	29 Não são as minhas palavras como um fogo, diz o Senhor, como um martelo que quebra a pedra?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.	30 Por esta causa eis que venho contra esses profetas, diz o Senhor, que roubam as minhas palavras uns aos outros.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.	31 Eis que venho contra os profetas, diz o Senhor, que tomam em suas línguas estas palavras: Diz o Senhor (não lhes tendo ele dito nada).
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.	32 Eis que venho contra os profetas que sonham mentiras, diz o Senhor, que as contam e enganam o meu povo com as suas mentiras e com a sua loquacidade; não os enviei, não lhes dei ordem alguma, a eles que nenhum bem fazem a este povo, diz o Senhor.
33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.	33 Se te perguntar pois este povo, ou um profeta, ou um sacerdote, assim: Qual é o peso do Senhor? - responderás; Vós é que sois o peso; eu vos hei-de arrojar para longe de mim, diz o Senhor.
34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.	34 Quanto ao profeta, ao sacerdote, ou ao homem do povo que disser: Peso (ou oráculo) do Senhor - pedirei contas a tal homem e à sua casa.
35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?	35 Isto direis, cada um a seu vizinho e a seu irmão: Que respondeu o Senhor? Que disse o Senhor?
36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.	36 E não se dirá mais: Peso do Senhor - porque (de contrário) a cada um será peso o seu modo de falar, porque transtornastes as palavras do Deus vivo, do Senhor dos exércitos, nosso Deus.
37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?	37 Isto dirás ao profeta: Que te respondeu o Senhor? Que disse o Senhor?
38 But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;	38 Se disserdes: Peso do Senhor - neste caso eis o que diz o Senhor: Porque dissestes esta palavra: Peso do Senhor - tendo-vos eu mandado: Não digais: Peso do Senhor -
39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:	39 por causa disso, eis que eu mesmo vos tomarei e vos atirarei para longe da minha presença, assim como à cidade que vos dei a vós e a vossos pais.
40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.	40 Entregar-vos-ei a um opróbrio sempiterno, a uma eterna ignomínia, que nunca se apagará da memória.
