1 Alleluia! Loue Yahvé, mon âme!	1 Hallelujah!
2 Je veux louer Yahvé tant que je vis, je veux jouer pour mon Dieu tant que je dure.	2 Praise the LORD, my soul; I shall praise the LORD all my life, sing praise to my God while I live.
3 Ne mettez point votre foi dans les princes, dans un fils de la glaise, il ne peut sauver!	3 I Put no trust in princes, in mere mortals powerless to save.
4 Il rend le souffle, il retourne à sa glaise, en ce jour-là périssent ses pensées.	4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth; that day all their planning comes to nothing.
5 Heureux qui a l'appui du Dieu de Jacob et son espoir en Yahvé son Dieu,	5 Happy those whose help is Jacob's God, whose hope is in the LORD, their God,
6 lui qui a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer, et tout ce qu'ils renferment! Il garde à jamais la vérité,	6 The maker of heaven and earth, the seas and all that is in them, Who keeps faith forever,
7 il rend justice aux opprimés, il donne aux affamés du pain, Yahvé délie les enchaînés.	7 secures justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free;
8 Yahvé rend la vue aux aveugles, Yahvé redresse les courbés, Yahvé aime les justes,	8 the LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.
9 Yahvé protège l'étranger, il soutient l'orphelin et la veuve. Mais détourne la voie des impies,	9 The LORD protects the stranger, sustains the orphan and the widow, but thwarts the way of the wicked.
10 Yahvé règne pour les siècles, ton Dieu, ô Sion, d'âge en âge.	10 The LORD shall reign forever, your God, Zion, through all generations! Hallelujah!
