| 1 E vidi nella destra di quel che sedeva sopra il trono, un libro scritto dentro e di fuora, sigillato con sette sigilli. | 1 And I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals; |
| 2 E vidi uno angelo forte, che predicava con grande voce: chi è degno di aprire il libro, e di solvere li suoi signacoli? | 2 and I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?" |
| 3 E niuno poteva, nè in cielo nè in terra nè sotto terra, aprir il libro, nè guardarlo | 3 And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, |
| 4 Ed io piangeva molto, perchè niuno era trovato degno di aprir il libro, nè guardarlo. | 4 and I wept much that no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. |
| 5 E uno de li antiqni a me disse: non piangere; ecco che il leone della tribù di Iuda, radice di David, vincerà di aprir il libro, e di solvere li sette signacoli suoi. | 5 Then one of the elders said to me, "Weep not; lo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals." |
| 6 E vidi; ed ecco, in mezzo del trono e dei quattro animali, e in mezzo de li antiqui, uno agnello che stava come morto, e avea sette corna e sette occhi, li quali sono li sette spiriti di Dio, mandati in ogni terra. | 6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders, I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth; |
| 7 E venne, e tolse il libro della destra di quel che sedeva sopra il trono. | 7 and he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. |
| 8 E quando aperse il libro, li quattro animali e' ventiquattro antiqui si inclinorono in terra dinanzi l'agnello; avevano ciascuno citare e angestare di auro, piene di odoramenti, i quali sono orazioni di santi. | 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints; |
| 9 E cantavano uno canto nuovo, dicenti: Signore, tu se' deguo di ricevere il libro, e aprire li signacoli suoi; perche tu se' stato ucciso, e hai redento noi a Dio nel sangue tuo, di ogni tribù e di ogni lingua e popolo e nazione. | 9 and they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art thou to take the scroll and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and by thy blood didst ransom men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, |
| 10 E hai fatto noi a Dio nostro, regno e sacerdoti; e regnaremo sopra la terra. | 10 and hast made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on earth." |
| 11 E vidi, e udii la voce di molti angeli intorno del trono e de li animali e de li antiqui; ed era il numero di loro migliara e migliara, | 11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, |
| 12 dicenti con grande voce: degno è l'agnello, il quale è ucciso, di ricevere virtù e divinità, e sapienza e fortezza, e onore e gloria e benedizione. | 12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" |
| 13 E ogni creatura, la quale è in cielo, e la quale è sopra la terra, e la quale è sotto terra, e il mare e quelle cose che sono in esso, udii tutti dicenti a quel che siede in trono, e all' agnello, benedizione e onore e gloria e potenza in secula seculorum. | 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all therein, saying, "To him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might for ever and ever!" |
| 14 E li quattro animali dicevano: amen. E' ventiquattro antiqui si inclinorono con le sue faccie in terra, e adoravano il vivente in secula seculorum. | 14 And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped. |
