BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E appoggia a te Aaron tuo fratello colli figliuoli suoi, del mezzo de' figliuoli d'Israel, acció che esercitino l'ufficio sacerdotale a me; Aaron, Nadab ed Abiù ed Eleazar ed Itamar.	1 'From among the Israelites, summon your brother Aaron and his sons to be priests in my service:Aaron and Aaron's sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
2 E farai la vesta santa ad Aaron fratello tuo in gloria ed onore.	2 For your brother Aaron you wil make sacred vestments to give dignity and magnificence.
3 E favellerai a tutti i più savi di cuore, i quali io ho rempiuto dello spirito della prudenza, che facciano le vesti di Aaron, nelle quali santificato ministrerà a me	3 You will instruct al the skilled men, whom I have endowed with skil , to make Aaron's vestments for hisconsecration to my priesthood.
4 E queste saranno le vestimenta, le quali faranno: lo razionale (lo quale è uno panno quadrato, ponevasi il sacerdote al petto) lo sopra umerale, la tunica e linea stretta, la mitra e il cingolo: faranno le vestimenta sante ad Aaron tuo fratello e li figliuoli suoi, acciò ch' elli esercitino l'ufficio sacerdotale a me.	4 These are the vestments which they must make: a pectoral, an ephod, a robe, an embroidered tunic, aturban and a belt. They must make sacred vestments for your brother Aaron and his sons, for them to be priestsin my service.
5 E torranno oro, giacinto e porpora e cocco bistinto e bisso (ritorto, opera rilevata).	5 They wil use gold and violet material, red-purple and crimson, and finely woven linen.
6 E faranno lo sopra umerale d'oro e giacinto e porpora e cocco due volte tinto e bisso ritorto, con opere rilevate.	6 'They wil make the ephod of finely woven linen embroidered with gold, violet-purple, red-purple andcrimson.
7 Due estremità giunte avrà in ciascheduno lato delle sommitadi, acciò che in uno redano.	7 It wil have two shoulder-straps joined to it; it will be joined to them by its two edges.
8 E quella cucitura, e tutta la varietade dello lavorio, sarà d'oro e di giacinto e di porpora e di cocco bistinto e di bisso ritorto.	8 The waistband on the ephod to hold it in position must be of the same workmanship and be of a piecewith it: of gold, violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and finely woven linen.
9 E torrai due pietre onechine, e disignerai in quelle i nomi de' figliuoli d'Israel;	9 You will then take two cornelians and engrave them with the names of the sons of Israel,
10 sei nomi in una pietra, e gli altri sei nell'altra pietra, secondo l'ordine della natività loro.	10 six of their names on one stone, the remaining six names on the other, in the order of their birth.
11 Di lavorio e di scultura, e di scultura che s'escava le gemme, caverai loro colli nomi de' figliuoli d'Israel; e farai che quelle pietre sieno rinchiuse nell'oro e circondate.	11 By the stone-carver's art -- seal engraving -- you wil engrave the two stones with the names of thesons of Israel. You will have them mounted in gold settings
12 E porra'le in ciascheduno lato del sopra umerale, lo memoriale a' figliuoli d'Israel. E porterà Aaron li nomi loro dinanzi al Signore, sopra l'uno e l'altro omero, per ricordanza.	12 and wil put the two stones on the shoulder-straps of the ephod, to commemorate the sons of Israel.In this way Aaron will bear their names on his two shoulders, before Yahweh, as a reminder.
13 E farai gli uncini d'oro,	13 You wil also make golden rosettes,
14 e due catene d'oro purissimo, accostantisi insieme, le quali congiungerai agli uncini.	14 and two chains of pure gold twisted like cord, and wil attach the cord-like chains to the rosettes.
15 E quello ch' è razionale del giudicio farai di lavorio rilevato, secondo la testura del sopra umerale, d'oro e di giacinto e di porpora e di cocco bistinto e di bisso ritorto.	15 'You wil make the breastplate of judgement of the same embroidered work as the ephod; you wilmake it of gold, violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and finely woven linen.
16 E lo quadrangolo sarà doppio; la misura d'uno palmo avrà, così nella lunghezza, come in larghezza.	16 It must be square and doubled over, a span in length and a span in width.
17 E porrai in quello quattro ordini di pietre; nel primo verso sarà la pietra sardis e topazio e smeraldo;	17 In it you wil set four rows of stones: a sard, topaz and emerald for the first row;
18 nel secondo carboncolo, zaffiro e giaspis;	18 for the second row, a garnet, sapphire and diamond;
19 nel terzo ligurio, àcato e ametisto;	19 for the third row, a hyacinth, a ruby and an amethyst;
20 nel quarto crisolito, onichio e berillo; ri chiusi d'oro saranno per l'ordine loro.	20 and for the fourth row, a beryl, a cornelian and a jasper. These must be mounted in gold settings.
21 E avranno lo nome de' figliuoli d'Israel: con XII nomi fieno scolpite tutte le pietre, colli nomi di tutti per le XII schiatte.	21 The stones wil correspond to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve like their names, engraved likeseals, each with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
22 E farai in lo razionale le catene, insieme accostantisi, d'oro purissimo,	22 For the breastplate you wil make chains of pure gold twisted like cords,
23 e due anelli d'oro, li quali porrai nell'una e nell'altra sommità dello razionale.	23 and on the breastplate you wil make two gold rings, putting the two rings on the two outside edges ofthe breastplate
24 E le catene d'oro giungerai agli anelli, i quali sono nelle margini sue.	24 and fastening the two gold cords to the two rings on the outside edges of the breastplate.
25 E la estrema parte delle catene aggiungerai alli due uncini nell'uno e nell'altro lato del sopraumerale che ragguarda lo razionale.	25 The other two ends of the cords you wil fasten to the two rosettes, putting these on the shoulder-straps of the ephod, on the front.
26 E farai due anelli d'oro, li quali porrai nella sommità del razionale, e negli ori i quali sono dalla parte del sopraumerale, e alle parti di dietro ragguardino.	26 You wil also make two gold rings and put them on the two edges of the breastplate, on the innerside, against the ephod;
27 E anco due altri uncini farai d'oro, i quali sono da porre nell'uno e nell'altro lato del sopra umerale di sotto, che riguardino contro la faccia della giuntura di sotto, acciò che si possa acconciare con lo sopraumerale.	27 and you wil make two gold rings and put them low down on the front of the two shoulder-pieces ofthe ephod, close to the join, above the waistband of the ephod.
28 E sia stretto lo razionale colli anelli suoi e colli anelli del sopraumerale col legame istretto ia cintino, acciò che stia la giuntura lavorata, e da se insieme lo razionale e lo sopraumerale non si possano ispartire.	28 The breastplate wil be secured by a violet-purple cord passed through its rings and those of theephod, so that the breastplate wil sit above the waistband and not come apart from the ephod.
29 E porterà Aaron li nomi delli figliuoli d'Israel nello razionale del giudizio sopra lo petto suo, quando entrerà dentro nel santuario, per memoriale dinnanzi al Signore in eterno.	29 Thus Aaron wil bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgement, on his heart,when he enters the sanctuary, as a reminder, before Yahweh, always.
30 E porrai nello razionale del giudizio la dottrina e la verità, le quali saranno nel petto di Aaron quando anderà dinanzi al Signore; e porterà lo giudizio de' figliuoli d'Israel nel petto suo, nel cospetto del Signore suo sempre.	30 To the breastplate of judgement you will add the urim and the thummim, and these wil be on Aaron'sheart when he goes into Yahweh's presence, and Aaron will bear the Israelites' judgement on his heart, inYahweh's presence, always.
31 E farai la tunica del sopraumerale tutta di giacinto;	31 'You wil make the robe of the ephod entirely of violet-purple.
32 nel mezzo del quale di sopra sie lo capuccetto, e li ori suoi per lo giro suo (di sotto) sieno la vorati e cuciti, come fare si suole nell'estreme parti degli vostri vestiti, acciò che agevolmente non si rompano.	32 In the centre it will have an opening for the head, the opening to have round it a border woven likethe neck of a coat of mail, so that it wil not get torn.
33 Ma di sotto, a' piedi di quella medesima tunica, intorno siccome melegrane farai di giacinto e di porpora e di cocco bistinto, miste nel mezzo campanelle;	33 On its lower hem, you wil make pomegranates of violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, and finelywoven linen al round the hem, with golden bel s between them al round:
34 sicchè la campanuzza sia d'oro, e la mela grana; e così anche l'altra campanuzza sia d'oro, e l'altra melagrana.	34 a golden bell and then a pomegranate, alternately, al round the lower hem of the robe.
35 E vestisi di quella Aaron nello ufficio del ministerio, acciò che s'oda suono, quand'egli entrerà dentro e uscirà del santuario dinanzi al Signore, e non morrà.	35 Aaron must wear it when he officiates, and the tinkling will be heard when he goes into the sanctuaryinto Yahweh's presence, or leaves it, and so he wil not incur death.
36 E farai una lama d'oro purissimo, nel quale scriverai di lavorìo di scolpiture: lo santo al Signore.	36 'You wil make a flower of pure gold and on it, as you would engrave a seal, you wil engrave,"Consecrated to Yahweh".
37 E legherai quella del legame giacintino, e sarà sopra la mitra,	37 You wil put it on a violet-purple cord; it wil go on the turban; the front of the turban is the place whereit must go.
38 soprastante alla fronte del pontefice. E porterà Aaron le iniquitadi di coloro i quali averanno offerto; e avranno santificato li figliuoli d'Israel tutte le offerte e doni loro. E sarà la lama sempre nella fronte sua, acciò che lo Signore sia umiliato.	38 This wil go on Aaron's brow, and Aaron will thus take on himself the short-comings in the holy thingsconsecrated by the Israelites, in all their holy offerings. It wil be on his brow permanently, to make themacceptable to Yahweh.
39 E stringerai la tunica col bisso; e la mi tra di bisso, e farai lo cingolo di lavorio rilevato.	39 The tunic you wil weave of fine linen, and make a turban of fine linen, and an embroideredwaistband.
40 Conseguentemente alli figliuoli di Aaron le tuniche di lino apparecchierai, e li cingoli e le mi tre in gloria e bellezza.	40 'For the sons of Aaron you will make tunics and waistbands. You wil also make them head-dressesto give dignity and magnificence.
41 E vestirai di tutte queste cose Aaron tuo fratello, e li figliuoli suoi con lui; e consacrerai le mani di tutti, e santificherai loro, acciò che faccino sacrificio a me.	41 You wil dress your brother Aaron and his sons in these; you wil then anoint them, invest them andconsecrate them to serve me in the priesthood.
42 E farai loro le camicie di lino, come di femine, acciò ch' egli coprano la carne della rustichezza loro, dalle reni insino alle gambe;	42 You wil also make them linen breeches reaching from waist to thigh, to cover their bare flesh.
43 e che usino quelle Aaron e li figliuoli suoi, quando entreranno nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, ovvero quando s'appressino all'altare, acciò che loro ministrino nel santuario, acciò che non muoiano per la iniquità. Questo sarà uno legittimo sempiterno ad Aaron, e al seme suo dopo lui.	43 Aaron and his sons wil wear these when they go into the Tent of Meeting and when they approachthe altar to serve in the sanctuary, as a precaution against incurring mortal guilt. This is a perpetual decree forAaron and for his descendants after him.'
