1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David.	1 (Per la fine. Salmo di David).
2 The heavens describe the glory of God, and the firmament announces the work of his hands.	2 I cieli narrano la gloria di Dio, e il firmamento proclama l'ope­ra delle sue mani.
3 Day proclaims the word to day, and night to night imparts knowledge.	3 Il giorno ne trasmette la pa­rola all'altro giorno, la notte la fa sapere all'altra notte.
4 There are no speeches or conversations, where their voices are not being heard.	4 Non son linguaggi nè discor­si di cui non s'intenda la voce.
5 Their sound has gone forth through all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.	5 Per tutta quanta la terra si è diffusa la loro voce, e le loro parole son giunte sino ai confini del mondo.
6 He has placed his tabernacle in the sun, and he is like a bridegroom coming out of his bedroom. He has exulted like a giant running along the way;	6 Ha posto il suo padiglione nel sole, il quale, come sposo che esce dal suo talamo, lieto come un gigante si slancia nella corsa.
7 his departure is from the summit of heaven. And his course reaches all the way to its summit. Neither is there anyone who can hide himself from his heat.	7 Si parte da un'estremità dei cieli e corre fino all'altra estremità e nulla sfugge al suo calore.
8 The law of the Lord is immaculate, converting souls. The testimony of the Lord is faithful, providing wisdom to little ones.	8 La legge del Signore è immacolata e con verte le anime, la testimonianza del Signore è fedele e dà saviezza ai semplici.
9 The justice of the Lord is right, rejoicing hearts. The precepts of the Lord are brilliant, enlightening the eyes.	9 I precetti del Signore son giusti e rallegrano i cuori. Il comandamento del Signore è luce e illumina gli occhi.
10 The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for all generations. The judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves:	10 Santo è il timore di Dio e dura in eterno. I giudizi di Dio son veri e giusti in se stessi.
11 desirable beyond gold and many precious stones, and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.	11 Sono da desiderarsi più dell'oro e delle pietre preziose, sono più dolci del miele, del miele che stilla dai favi.
12 For, indeed, your servant keeps them, and in keeping them, there are many rewards.	12 Il tuo servo li osserva diligentemente, e nell'osservarli (trova) gran ricompensa.
13 Who can understand transgression? From my hidden faults, cleanse me, O Lord,	13 Ma i peccati chi li conosce? Assolvimi da quelli che mi restano occulti.
14 and from those of others, spare your servant. If they will have no dominion over me, then I will be immaculate, and I will be cleansed from the greatest transgression.	14 E tien lontano il tuo servo da quelli degli altri. Se non m'avranno dominato, allora sarò senza macchia e sarò puro dal gran delitto.
15 And the eloquence of my mouth will be so as to please, along with the meditation of my heart, in your sight, forever, O Lord, my helper and my redeemer.	15 Allora saran tali da piacerti le parole della mia bocca, e i pensieri del mio cuore saran sempre dinanzi a te, o Signore, mio aiuto e mio redentore.
