Job 27

KING JAMES BIBLE	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,	1 Allora Giobbe continuò a pronunciare i suoi versi e disse:
2 As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;	2 "Viva Dio, che mi nega il mio diritto; l'Onnipotente che mi amareggia l'animo!
3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;	3 Finché ci sarà in me un soffio di vita e l'alito di Dio nelle mie narici,
4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.	4 mai le mie labbra diranno falsità né la mia lingua proferirà menzogna.
5 God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.	5 Lungi da me che io vi dia ragione; fino all'ultimo respiro rivendicherò la mia integrità.
6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.	6 Terrò fermo alla mia innocenza, senza cedere; la mia coscienza non mi rimprovera uno solo dei miei giorni.
7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.	7 Che il mio nemico abbia la sorte dell'iniquo, e il mio rivale quella dell'ingiusto!
8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?	8 Quale infatti è la speranza dell'empio, quando finirà, quando Dio gli toglierà la vita?
9 Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?	9 Ascolterà forse Dio il suo grido, quando lo colpirà la sventura?
10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?	10 Sarà forse l'Onnipotente la sua delizia; invocherà Dio ad ogni istante?
11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.	11 Vi mostrerò il potere di Dio; non vi nasconderò ciò che dispone l'Onnipotente.
12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?	12 Ecco, voi tutti l'avete costatato; perché dunque vi perdete in cose vane?
13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.	13 Questa è la sorte che Dio riserva al malvagio e la porzione che i violenti ricevono dall'Onnipotente.
14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.	14 Se ha molti figli, saranno per la spada; e i suoi discendenti non avranno pane per sfamarsi.
15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.	15 I superstiti li seppellirà la peste, senza che le sue vedove facciano il lamento.
16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;	16 Se ammassa l'argento come polvere e fa provvista di vesti come fango,
17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.	17 egli le prepara, ma il giusto le indosserà; e l'argento lo erediterà l'innocente.
18 He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.	18 Se costruisce la casa, sarà come ragnatela, come una capanna fatta da un guardiano.
19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.	19 Si corica ricco, ma è per l'ultima volta; quando apre gli occhi, non avrà più nulla.
20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.	20 I terrori lo assalgono come acque; di notte un uragano lo travolge.
21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.	21 Lo scirocco lo solleva e se ne va, lo strappa lontano dal suo posto.
22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.	22 Dio lo incalza senza pietà, mentre egli tenta di sfuggire dalla sua mano.
23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.	23 Si battono le mani su di lui e si fischia contro di lui da ogni parte".
