KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Mert minden főpapot az emberek közül választanak, és az emberekért rendelnek az Istennel kapcsolatos dolgokban, hogy ajándékokat és áldozatokat mutasson be a bűnökért.	1 Every high priest is taken from among human beings and is appointed to act on their behalf inrelationships with God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins;
2 Részvéttel tud lenni a tudatlanok és tévelygők iránt, mert ő maga is körül van véve gyöngeséggel,	2 he can sympathise with those who are ignorant or who have gone astray, because he too is subject tothe limitations of weakness.
3 s így, miként a népért, úgy önmagáért is áldozatot kell bemutatnia a bűnökért.	3 That is why he has to make sin offerings for himself as wel as for the people.
4 Erre a tisztségre senki sem választja önmagát, hanem akit Isten hív, mint Áront.	4 No one takes this honour on himself; it needs a cal from God, as in Aaron's case.
5 Így Krisztus sem önmaga dicsőítette meg magát, hogy főpappá legyen, hanem az, aki azt mondta neki: »Fiam vagy te, ma nemzettelek téged« .	5 And so it was not Christ who gave himself the glory of becoming high priest, but the one who said tohim: You are my Son, today I have fathered you,
6 És ahogy más helyen is mondja: »Te pap vagy mindörökké Melkizedek rendje szerint« .	6 and in another text: You are a priest for ever, of the order of Melchizedek.
7 Ő, testi mivoltának napjaiban imáit és könyörgéseit nagy kiáltással és könnyhullatással bemutatta annak, aki megszabadíthatta őt a haláltól; és meghallgatást is nyert hódolatáért.	7 During his life on earth, he offered up prayer and entreaty, with loud cries and with tears, to the onewho had the power to save him from death, and, winning a hearing by his reverence,
8 Bár Isten Fia volt, engedelmességet tanult abból, amit elszenvedett;	8 he learnt obedience, Son though he was, through his sufferings;
9 és amikor eljutott a tökéletességhez, örök üdvösség szerzője lett mindazoknak, akik engedelmeskednek neki ,	9 when he had been perfected, he became for al who obey him the source of eternal salvation
10 mivel Isten főpapnak nevezte őt Melkizedek rendje szerint .	10 and was acclaimed by God with the title of high priest of the order of Melchizedek.
11 Sok mindent kell erről mondanunk, és nehéz is megmagyarázni, mert késedelmesek lettetek a hallásra;	11 On this subject we have many things to say, and they are difficult to explain because you have grownso slow at understanding.
12 ugyanis ez idő szerint már tanítóknak kellene lennetek, de ismét arra van szükségetek, hogy valaki tanítson titeket Isten tanításának elemi dolgaira; olyanok lettetek, mint akiknek tejre van szükségük, nem szilárd eledelre.	12 Indeed, when you should by this time have become masters, you need someone to teach you al overagain the elements of the principles of God's sayings; you have gone back to needing milk, and not solid food.
13 Mert mindaz, aki tejet kap, tapasztalatlan az igazságosság tanításában, mivel még csecsemő;	13 Truly, no one who is stil living on milk can digest the doctrine of saving justice, being stil a baby.
14 a tökéleteseknek pedig a szilárd étel való, azoknak, akik a gyakorlás által kifejlesztették érzékeiket, hogy megkülönböztessék a jót és a rosszat.	14 Solid food is for adults with minds trained by practice to distinguish between good and bad.
