Levitico 9

1 Venendo l'ottavo die, chiamò Moisè Aronne e li figliuoli suoi con tutti li principi d'Israel. E disse ad Aaron:	1 Then, the eighth day having arrived, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and those greater by birth from Israel, and he said to Aaron:
2 Togli dell' armento uno vitello per lo peccato, e uno montone per lo sacrificio, e amendue sieno senza macula; e offerira'li in presenza di Dio.	2 “Take a calf for sin from the herd, and a ram as a holocaust, both immaculate, and offer them in the sight of the Lord.
3 E parlerai ai figliuoli d'Israel, e di' loro: Tollete uno becco per lo peccato, e uno vitello e uno agnello d'un anno senza macula in sacrificio,	3 And to the sons of Israel, you shall say: ‘Take a he-goat for sin, and a calf as well as a lamb, both one-year-old and without blemish, as a holocaust.
4 uno bue e uno montone; offerirete in prenonsenza d'Iddio, sia perpeccato; e in ogni sacrificio offerirete crusca intinta con olio: oggi Iddio v'apparirà.	4 Take also an ox and a ram for peace offerings. And immolate them before the Lord, offering with the sacrifice of each one fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”
5 E tolsero ogni cosa che disse Moisè, e posero alla porta del tabernacolo; ed essendovi tutto il popolo,	5 And so they brought everything that Moses had ordered before the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood together,
6 disse Moisè: queste sono le parole che Iddio hae comandate; fatele, e vedrete la sua gloria.	6 Moses said: “This is the word, which the Lord has instructed. Accomplish it, and his glory will appear to you.”
7 E ad Aaron disse: va all'altare, ed offerisci per lo tuo peccato; ed offerisci lo sacrificio, e prega per te e per lo popolo tuo; e quando lo sacrificio sarà compiuto, prega per lo popolo, secondo che Iddio comando.	7 And he said to Aaron: “Approach toward the altar, and immolate on behalf of your sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for yourself and for the people. And when you have slain the victim for the people, pray for them, just as the Lord has instructed.”
8 E incontanente Aaron andoe all'altare, e offerse lo vitello per lo suo peccato.	8 And immediately Aaron, approaching toward the altar, immolated the calf for his sin.
9 Lo cui sangue gli portarono li suoi figliuoli; e intinto lo dito dentro, unse li canti dell' altare, e quello che rimase versoe al piede dell' altare.	9 And his sons brought its blood to him, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured out the remainder at its base.
10 Lo grasso e i lombi e la rete del fegato, li quali si offerranno per li peccati, arse sopra l'altare, secondo che Iddio comandò a Moisè.	10 And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the mesh of the liver, which are for sin, he burned upon the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
11 La carne e la pelle arse fuori dello abitato.	11 Yet truly, the flesh and its skins he burned with fire beyond the camp.
12 E offerse lo animale in sacrificio; e gli figliuoli gli portarono lo sangue, ed egli lo versoe d'intorno all'altare.	12 He also immolated the victim of holocaust. And his sons brought its blood to him, which he poured out all around the altar.
13 E questa medesima oblazione, tagliato lo capo e tutti i membri, portarono; e arseli sopra l'altare,	13 And when the victim itself was cut into pieces, they brought him the head and each of the limbs, all of which he burned with fire upon the altar,
14 lavate prima l'interiora e li piedi.	14 having first washed the intestines and the feet with water.
15 E per lo peccato del popolo offerse e uccise lo becco; e mondato l'altare,	15 And making an offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he-goat. And expiating the altar,
16 fece lo sacrificio,	16 he accomplished the holocaust,
17 aggiungendo insieme ciò che rimase delle cose di che si fece sacrificio; arsele sopra l'altare, non facendo festa.	17 adding to it the sacrifice of the libations, which are to be offered together, and burning them upon the altar, separately from the ceremonies of the morning holocaust.
18 E offerse uno bue e uno montone in sacrificio per grazia del popolo; e gli figliuoli suoi gli portarono il sangue, il quale versoe intorno l'altare.	18 He also immolated the ox, as well as the ram, as peace offerings for the people. And his sons brought him the blood, which he poured out upon the altar all around.
19 Lo grasso del bue, e la coda del montone, e i lombi colla grassa sua, e la rete del fegato,	19 Then the fat of the ox, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys with their fat, and the mesh of the liver,
20 pose sopra lo petto; e come egli ebbe arso li grassi nell'altare,	20 they placed upon the breasts. And when the fat had been burned upon the altar,
21 li petti loro e le spalle destre separolle Aaron e levolle, secondo che Moisè avea comandato.	21 Aaron separated their breasts and the right shoulders, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord, as Moses had instructed.
22 E istendendo la mano al popolo, si lo be nedisse. Sì che compiuti li sacrificii, che si faceano per lo peccato, ovvero senza peccato, discesero.	22 And extending his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so, the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being completed, he descended.
23 E andati Moise e Aaron nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, e indi usciti, benedissero lo popolo; e la gloria di Dio apparve a tutto il popolo.	23 Then Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire multitude.
24 Ed ecco lo fuoco disceso d'Iddio arse tutto lo sacrificio, e la grassa ch' era sopra l'altare. E la gente vedendo questo, lodarano Iddio tutti temendo con grande riverenza.	24 And, behold, a fire from the Lord devoured the holocaust, and the fat which was on the altar. When the crowd had seen this, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.
