1 Cantico del salmo di Asaf.	1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God takes his stand in the divine assembly, surrounded by the gods he givesjudgement.
2 Iddio, chi sarà simile a te? non tacere, e non ti ritraere.	2 'How much longer wil you give unjust judgements and uphold the prestige of the wicked?
3 Imperò che li tuoi nemici sono raunati; e quelli che ti hanno odiato, hanno levato il capo.	3 Let the weak and the orphan have justice, be fair to the wretched and the destitute.Pause
4 Sopra il tuo popolo hanno fatto malo consiglio; e pensorono contra gli santi tuoi.	4 'Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the clutches of the wicked.
5 Dissero venite, e disperdiamoli dalla gente; e non sia arricordato più il nome d'Israel.	5 'Ignorant and uncomprehending, they wander in darkness, while the foundations of the world aretottering.
6 Però che li tabernacoli de [gli] Idumei e de [gli] Ismaeliti d' uno animo hanno pensato; insieme contro di te disposero il testamento,	6 I had thought, "Are you gods, are al of you sons of the Most High?"
7 Moab e Agareni; Gebal e Ammon e Amalec; gli estranei con gli abitanti in Tiro.	7 No! you wil die as human beings do, as one man, princes, you will fal .'
8 E certo Assur venne con loro; sono fatti in aiuto alli figliuoli di Lot.	8 Arise, God, judge the world, for al nations belong to you.
9 A loro fa, come facesti a Madian e Sisara, come a Iabin nel torrente Cisson.
10 Furono dispersi in Endor; fatti sono come sterco della terra.
11 Poni li [loro] principi come Oreb e Zeb, e Zebee e Salmana;
12 tutti loro prìncipi, che dissero: per eredità possediamo il santuario di Dio.
13 Iddio mio, poni quelli come ruota, e come stoppa dinanzi alla faccia del vento.
14 Come il fuoco bruciante la selva, e come fiamma ardente li monti,
15 così gli perseguiterai nella tua tempesta, e turbera'li nella tua ira.
16 Adempii loro faccie di vergogna; ed egli cercheranno il nome tuo, Signore.
17 Vergogninsi, e siano turbati nel secolo dei secoli; e siano confusi, e periscano.
18 E conoscano che a te è il nome Signore; e tu sei solo Altissimo in ogni terra.
