Salmi 124

BIBBIA VOLGARE	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Cantico de' gradi. Quelli che si confidano nel Signore, come il monte di Sion; il quale abita in Ierusalem non si commoverà in eterno.	1 To thee have I lifted up my eyes, who dwellest in heaven.
2 Intorno di lui saranno li monti; e il Signore intorno li populi suoi, da ora inanzi e insino al fine.	2 Behold as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, As the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress: so are our eyes unto the Lord our God, until he have mercy on us.
3 Per che il Signore non lascerà la bacchetta de' peccatori sopra la parte de' giusti; acciò che li giusti alla iniquità non estendano le mani sue.	3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us: for we are greatly filled with contempt.
4 Signore, fa bene alli buoni e dritti di cuore.	4 For our soul is greatly filled: we are a reproach to the rich, and contempt to the proud.
5 Ma li declinanti per obbligazioni, il Signore li menerà colli operanti la iniquità; e sarà pace sopra Israel.
