1 Allora chiamò Tobia a sè l'angiolo, il quale egli credeva che fosse uomo, e sì gli disse: o fratello mio Azaria, io ti priego che tu ascolti le mie parole.	1 Then Tobias called the angel to him, whom he took to be a man, and said to him: Brother Azarias, I pray thee hearken to my words:
2 Imperciò che se io mi ti facessi servo, io non ti potrei satisfare alla tua providenza.	2 If I should give myself to be thy servant I should not make a worthy return for thy care.
3 Non di meno io ti priego che tu prendi gli. animali al tuo servigio, e vae (a dire) a Gabelo, lo quale è in Rages città de' Medi; e dàgli la sua scrittura, e da lui ricevi la pecunia, e priegalo che venga alle nozze mie.	3 However, I beseech thee, to take with thee beasts and servants, and to go to Gabelus to Rages the city of the Medes: and to restore to him his note of hand, and receive of him the money, and desire him to come to my wedding.
4 Imperciò che tu sai che il mio padre annumera i dì; onde se io istessi più uno dì che il termine, l'anima sua si contristerebbe.	4 For thou knowest that my father numbereth the days: and if I stay one day more, his soul will be afflicted.
5 E tu vedi apertamente, come Raguel m' ha iscongiurato, la cui volontà non posso dispregiare.	5 And indeed thou seest how Raguel hath adjured me, whose adjuring I cannot despise.
6 Allora Rafael, prendendo quattro de' servi di Raguel, e due cammelli, andò in Rages città de' Medi; e trovando Gabelo, sì gli diede il suo iscritto di sua mano, e ricevette tutta la pecunia.	6 Then Raphael took four of Raguel's servants, and two camels, and went to Rages the city of the Medes: and finding Gabelus, gave him his note of hand, and received of him all the money.
7 E dissegli ciò ch' era avvenuto a Tobia figliuolo di Tobia; e fecelo venire seco alle nozze.	7 And he told him concerning Tobias the son of Tobias, all that had been done: and made him come with him to the wedding.
8 E sì tosto com' egli entrò in casa di Raguel, e trovò Tobia sedere alle nozze, e incontanente andò a lui, e basciarsi insieme; e pianse Gabelo (di letizia), e benedicendo Iddio,	8 And when he was come into Raguel's house he found Tobias sitting at the table: and he leaped up, and they kissed each other: and Gabelus wept, and blessed God,
9 disse il Signore Iddio d' Israel sì ti benedica, imperciò che tu se' figliuolo d' ottimo e giusto uomo, e che teme Iddio, e che fa elemosine.	9 And said: The God of Israel bless thee, because thou art the son of a very good and just man, and that feareth God, and doth almsdeeds:
10 E venga benedizione sopra la tua isposa, e sopra i vostri padre e madre,	10 And may a blessing come upon thy wife and upon your parents.
11 e sopra i figliuoli de' figliuoli vostri, insino alla terza e quarta generazione; e il vostro seme sia benedetto da Dio d' Israel, il quale regna IN SECULA SECULORUM.	11 And may you see your children, and your children's children, unto the third and fourth generation: and may your seed be blessed by the God of Israel, who reigneth for ever and ever.
12 E avendo tutti detto: Amen, andarono a tavola (alle nozze, sempre) con timore di Dio usando al nuziale convito.	12 And when all had said, Amen, they went to the feast: but the marriage feast they celebrated also with the fear of the Lord.
