1 E tornò l'angelo che parlava con me, e mi fece svegliare come uomo che si desta dal sonno.	1 Then the angel who spoke with me returned and awakened me, like a man awakened from his sleep.
2 E mi disse: « Che vedi? » Risposi: « Ho veduto, ed ecco un candelabro tutto d'oro, ha una lampada in cima, e porta sette lucerne, e sette canaletti per le lucerne che sono sopra di lui.	2 "What do you see?" he asked me. "I see a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl at the top," I replied; "on it are seven lamps with their tubes,
3 E sopra ha due ulivi, uno a destra e uno a sinistra della lampada.	3 and beside it are two olive trees, one on the right and the other on the left."
4 E, riprendendo la parola, dico all'angelo che parlava con me: « Signor mio, che son queste cose? »	4 Then I said to the angel who spoke with me, "What are these things, my lord?"
5 L'angelo che parlava con me mi rispose dicendo: « Come, non sai che sono queste cose? » Risposi: « No, davvero, Signor mio ».	5 And the angel who spoke with me replied, "Do you not know what these things are?" "No, my lord," I answered.
6 Ed egli ripresa la parola e rivolgendosi a me, disse: « Ecco la parola del Signore (rivolta) a Zorobabele in questi termini: Non per mezzo d'eserciti nè colla forza, ma per virtù del mio spirito — dice il Signore degli eserciti. —	6 Then he said to me, "This is the LORD'S message to Zerubbabel: Not by an army, nor by might, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
7 Che sei tu, o gran monte, davanti a Zorobabele? Sarai spianato. Egli porrà la prima pietra, e uguaglierà la grazia alla grazia di essa ».	7 What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are but a plain. He shall bring out the capstone amid exclamations of 'Hail, Hail' to it."
8 La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini:	8 This word of the LORD then came to me:
9 « Le mani di Zorobabele han gettati i fondamenti di questa casa, e le sue mani la compiranno, e voi conoscerete che mi ha mandato a voi il Signore degli eserciti.	9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house, and his hands shall finish it; then you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
10 E chi è che ha disprezzati i piccoli giorni? E si rallegreranno nel vedere il filo a piombo in mano di Zorobabele. Questi sette sono gli occhi del Signore che scorrono tutta quanta la terra ».	10 For even they who were scornful on that day of small beginnings shall rejoice to see the select stone in the hands of Zerubbabel. These seven facets are the eyes of the LORD that range over the whole earth.
11 Ed io ripresi la parola e gli dissi: « Che sono questi due ulivi, uno a destra e l'altro a sinistra del candelabro? »	11 I then asked him, "What are these two olive trees at each side of the lampstand?"
12 E di nuovo ripresi la parola e gli dissi: « Che son questi due rami degli ulivi che stanno presso i due beccucci d'oro, dove sono i canaletti d'oro? »	12 And again I asked, "What are the two olive tufts which freely pour out fresh oil through the two golden channels?"
13 Egli mi rispose, dicendo: « Come? non sai che siano queste cose? » Dissi: « No, davvero, Signor mio ».	13 "Do you not know what these are?" he said to me. "No, my lord," I answered him.
14 Ed egli disse: « Questi son due unti che? stan dinanzi al Dominatore di tutta la terra ».	14 He said, "These are the two anointed who stand by the LORD of the whole earth."
