Isaia 32

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ecco che il re regnerà con giustizia, e i principi governeranno con rettitudine.	1 There wil be a king who reigns uprightly and princes who rule with fair judgement;
2 E ciascuno sarà come al riparo dal vento e nascosto alla tempesta, come ruscello d'acqua nella siccità, come ombra di rupe che s'innalza in arida landa.	2 each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams on arid ground, like theshade of a solid rock in a desolate land.
3 Non saranno più nelle tenebre gli occhi dei veggenti, gli orecchi degli uditori staranno attenti ad ascoltare,	3 The eyes of seers wil no longer be closed, the ears of hearers wil be alert,
4 e il cuor degli stolti comprenderà la scienza, e la lingua dei balbuzienti parlerà speditamente e con chiarezza.	4 the heart of the hasty wil learn to think things over, and the tongue of stammerers wil speak promptlyand clearly.
5 L'insensato non sarà più chiamato principe, e il fraudolento non sarà chiamato grande.	5 The fool wil no longer be cal ed generous, nor the rascal be styled bountiful.
6 Certo lo stolto parlerà di fatuità, il suo cuore si darà all'iniquità, per compire l'ipocrisia e parlar con doppiezza del Signore, e render vuota la persona dell'affamato e togliere la bevanda a chi ha sete.	6 For the fool speaks fol y and his heart is set on vil ainy; he is godless in his actions and his wordsascribe error to Yahweh; he starves the hungry of their food and refuses drink to the thirsty.
7 Gli strumenti del fraudolento son crudeli: infatti egli ordisce degli intrighi per rovinare con menzognere parole i mansueti, mentre il povero parla di giustizia.	7 Everything to do with the rascal is evil, he devises infamous plans to ruin the poor with lying wordseven when the needy has right on his side;
8 Ma il principe penserà cose degne di un principe, e starà al di sopra dei capi.	8 but the noble person plans only noble things, noble his every move.
9 Donne ricche, alzatevi — Statemi a sentire, figlie spensierate — State attente al mio discorso.	9 Stand up, you haughty women, listen to my words; you over-confident daughters, pay attention to whatI say.
10 Fra un anno e qualche giorno — Voi tremerete, o spensierate; chè, finita la vendemmia — Non vi sarà più da raspollare.	10 Within one year and a few days you wil tremble, you over-confident women; grape-harvesting will befinished, gathering will never happen again.
11 Restate piene di stupore, o ricche — Tremate, o spensierate; spogliatevi, state piene di vergogna, cingetevi i fianchi.	11 Shudder, you haughty women, tremble, you over-confident women; strip, undress, put sackclothround your waists.
12 Piangete il petto che allatta. — Il bel paese, la fertile vigna.	12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine,
13 Sulla terra del mio popolo — Saliranno le spine e i rovi quanto più sopra le case felici — Della città esultante?	13 for my people's soil where the bramble-bush wil be growing and for al the happy houses, for therejoicing city.
14 La casa è abbandonata — La città piena di gente è derelitta, palpabili tenebre — Coprono le spelonche in eterno, sollazzo degli onagri — Pascolo dei greggi.	14 For the citadel wil be abandoned and the thronged city deserted, Ophel and the Keep wil be denudedfor ever, the playground of wild donkeys and the pasture of flocks,
15 Fino a quando non si spanda sopra di noi lo spirito dall'alto, e il deserto diventi un Carmelo, e il Carmelo una foresta.	15 until the spirit is poured out on us from above, and the desert becomes an orchard, and an orchardthat seems like a forest.
16 E il diritto abiterà nel deserto, e la giustizia si stabilirà sul Carmelo,	16 Fair judgement wil fix its home in the desert, and uprightness live in this orchard,
17 e opera della giustizia sarà la pace, e frutto della giustizia sarà la tranquillità, la sicurezza in sempiterno.	17 and the product of uprightness will be peace, the effect of uprightness being quiet and security forever.
18 E il mio popolo si riposerà nella bellezza della pace, nelle case sicure, nella quiete doviziosa.	18 My people will live in a peaceful home, in peaceful houses, tranquil dwel ings.
19 Ma la grandine piomberà sulla foresta, e la città sarà oltremodo umi liata.	19 And should the forest be total y destroyed and the city gravely humiliated,
20 Beati voi che seminate sopra tutte le acque, e lasciate libero il piede del bove e dell'asino.	20 You wil be happy to sow wherever there is water and to let the ox and donkey roam free.
