1 Josué estava velho, avançado em anos, e o Senhor disse-lhe: Tu estás velho, de muita idade, e resta ainda um grandíssimo espaço de terra a conquistar.	1 Joshua was old and advanced in age, and the Lord said to him: “You have grown old, and are aged, and a very wide land remains, which has not yet been divided by lot,
2 Eis o que resta: todas as províncias dos filisteus, toda a terra dos jessureus,	2 specifically, all of Galilee, Philistia, and all of Geshur;
3 desde o Chihor que corre defronte do Egito, até os limites de Acaron para o norte, região considerada como cananéia; os cinco príncipes dos filisteus: o de Gaza, o de Azot, o de Ascalon, o de Get e o de Acaron;	3 from the muddy river, which irrigates Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron toward the north, the land of Canaan, which is divided among the rulers of Philistia: the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gathites, and the Ekronites;
4 os heveus, ao meio-dia; toda a terra dos cananeus, e Maara dos sidônios, até Afec e a fronteira dos amorreus;	4 truly, to the south are the Hivites, all the land of Canaan, and Mearah of the Sidonians, as far as Aphek and the borders of the Amorite
5 a terra dos gebalitas, e todo o Líbano, para o oriente, desde Baal-Gad ao pé do monte Hermon até a entrada de Hamat;	5 and his confines; also, the region of Lebanon toward the east, from Baalgad, under mount Hermon, until you enter into Hamath;
6 todos os habitantes da montanha, desde o Líbano até as águas de Maserefot, todos os sidônios. Eu os expulsarei diante dos israelitas. Reparte, pois, essa terra por sorte em herança a Israel, como prescrevi.	6 all who live in the mountains from Lebanon, as far as the waters of Misrephoth, and all the Sidonians. I am the One who will wipe them out, before the face of the sons of Israel. Therefore, let their land become a part of the inheritance of Israel, just as I have instructed you.
7 E agora divide essa terra entre as nove tribos e a meia tribo de Manassés.	7 And now, divide the land as a possession to the nine tribes, and to the one half tribe of Manasseh.”
8 Os rubenitas, os gaditas e a outra metade da tribo de Manassés tinham recebido de Moisés sua parte além do Jordão ao oriente, assim como Moisés, servo do Senhor, lhes tinha marcado:	8 With them, Reuben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the eastern side:
9 desde Aroer, que está situada na margem da torrente do Arnon, e desde a cidade que está no meio do vale e toda a planície de Medaba, até Dibon;	9 from Aroer, which is situated on the bank of the torrent Arnon and in the midst of the valley, and all the plains of Medeba, as far as Dibon;
10 todas as cidades de Seon, rei dos amorreus, que reinava em Hesebon, até a fronteira dos amonitas;	10 and all the cities of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, even to the borders of the sons of Ammon;
11 Galaad, o território dos jessureus e dos macateus, toda a montanha do Hermon e todo o Basã até Saleca;	11 and Gilead, as well as the borders of Geshur and Maacati, and all of mount Hermon, and all of Bashan, as far as Salecah;
12 todo o reino de Og, em Basã, que reinava em Astarot e Edrai, último resto da descendência dos refains. Moisés bateu-os e expulsou-os.	12 the entire kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and Edrei, (he was among the last of the Rephaim). And Moses struck and destroyed them.
13 Os filhos de Israel, porém, não expulsaram os jessureus, nem os macateus, e assim esses povos ficaram habitando até o dia de hoje entre nós.	13 And the sons of Israel were not willing to destroy Geshur and Maacati, and so they have lived in the midst of Israel, even to the present day.
14 A tribo de Levi foi a única que não recebeu herança de Moisés; porque os sacrifícios oferecidos pelo fogo ao Senhor, Deus de Israel, são a sua herança, como ele lho havia dito.	14 But to the tribe of Levi, he did not give a possession. Instead, the sacrifices and victims of the Lord, the God of Israel, these are his inheritance, just as he spoke to him.
15 Moisés havia, pois, dado aos rubenitas a sua parte, segundo as suas famílias.	15 Therefore, Moses gave a possession to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, according to their families.
16 Seu território partia de Aroer, situada na margem da torrente de Arnon, e da cidade que está no meio da torrente, e compreendia toda a planície junto de Medaba,	16 And their border was from Aroer, which is situated on the bank of the torrent Arnon, and in the midst of the valley of the same torrent, with all the flatlands that lead to Medeba;
17 Hesebon e todas as suas cidades na planície, Dibon, Bamot-Baal, Bet-Baal-Maon,	17 and Heshbon, and all their villages, which are in the plains; also Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and the town of Baalmeon,
18 Jassa, Cedimot, Mefaat,	18 and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Cariataim, Sabama, Sarat-Asar na montanha do vale,	19 and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the mountain of the steep valley;
20 Bet-Fogor, as encostas do Fasga, Bet-Jesimot,	20 Bethpeor, and the descending slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;
21 todas as cidades da planície, todo o reino de Seon, rei dos amorreus, de Hesebon, que Moisés havia derrotado com os príncipes de Madiã, Evi, Recém, Sur, Hur e Rebé, tributários de Seon naquela terra.	21 and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdoms of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses struck down with the leaders of Midian: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the commanders of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.
22 Entre os que foram mortos pela espada dos israelitas figura também o adivinho Balaão, filho de Beor.	22 And the sons of Israel killed Balaam, the son of Beor, the seer, with the sword, along with the others who were slain.
23 O rio Jordão ficou sendo o limite do território dos rubenitas. Tais são as cidades e aldeias que couberam aos rubenitas, segundo suas famílias.	23 And the river Jordan was made the border of the sons of Reuben; this is the possession of the Reubenites, by their families, in cities and villages.
24 Moisés deu também aos gaditas uma parte segundo suas famílias.	24 And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and his sons, by their families, a possession, of which this is the division:
25 Seu território foi o seguinte: Jaser, todas as cidades de Galaad, a metade da terra dos amonitas até Aroer, defronte de Raba,	25 the border of Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and one half part of the land of the sons of Ammon, as far as Aroer, which is opposite Rabbah;
26 desde Hesebon até Rabot-Masfé e Betonim, e desde Manaim até a fronteira de Dabir;	26 and from Heshbon as far as Ramath, Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim as far as the borders of Debir;
27 e, no vale, Bet-Harão, Bet-Nemra, Socot e Safon, restos do reino de Seon, rei de Hesebon; o Jordão e seu território até os confins do mar de Ceneret, além do Jordão, para o oriente.	27 also, in the valley Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the remaining part of the kingdom of Sihon, the king of Heshbon; the limit of this also is the Jordan, as far as the furthest part of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan on the eastern side.
28 Tal foi, em cidades e em aldeias, a parte dos gaditas segundo suas famílias.	28 This is the possession of the sons of Gad, by their families, in their cities and villages.
29 Moisés dera também à meia tribo de Manassés, aos seus filhos, segundo as suas famílias, a sua parte.	29 He also gave, to the one half tribe of Manasseh and to his sons, a possession according to their families,
30 O seu território compreendia Manaim, todo o Basã, todo o reino de Og, rei de Basã, e todas as aldeias de Jair em Basã: sessenta localidades.	30 the beginning of which is this: from Mahanaim, all of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Og, the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty towns;
31 A metade de Galaad, Astarot e Edrai, cidades do reino de Og em Basã, foram dadas aos filhos de Maquir, filho de Manassés, isto é, à metade dos filhos de Maquir, segundo suas famílias.	31 and one half part of Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, to the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, to one half part of the sons of Machir, according to their families.
32 Tais são as partes que Moisés distribuiu nas planícies de Moab, além do Jordão, para o oriente, defronte de Jericó.	32 Moses divided this possession, in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho on the eastern side.
33 À tribo de Levi, porém, não deu herança alguma, porque o Senhor, Deus de Israel, é a sua herança, como ele lho tinha dito.	33 But to the tribe of Levi he did not give a possession. For the Lord, the God of Israel, is himself their possession, just as he spoke to him.
