Zacarias 10

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Pedi chuvas ao Senhor para o tempo das águas tardias. O Senhor faz brilhar o relâmpago, proporciona chuva para todos e ao homem a vegetação do campo.	1 Ask Yahweh for rain in autumn and at the time of the spring rains. Yahweh is the one to make thestorm-clouds. He wil give them showers of rain; to each, grass in his field.
2 Os terafins deram falsos oráculos, os adivinhos só tiveram visões mentirosas; contam sonhos vãos, e suas consolações são inúteis. Por isso, o povo desgarrou-se como um rebanho e se pôs a vagar por falta de pastor.	2 Since the domestic idols have talked nonsense, and the diviners have seen false signs, and dreamshave purveyed delusions, affording empty comfort, that is why they have strayed like sheep, in distress for wantof a shepherd.
3 Minha cólera inflama-se contra os pastores, meu castigo vai cair sobre os bodes. O Senhor dos exércitos visita o seu rebanho, a casa de Judá, e a constitui seu cavalo de honra.	3 My anger has been roused by the shepherds, and I shal vent it on the he-goats. When YahwehSabaoth comes to visit his flock, the House of Judah, he wil make it his royal war-horse.
4 Dela há de provir a pedra angular; dela, o mastro da tenda; dela, o arco de guerra; dela, todos os chefes.	4 From it wil emerge Cornerstone and Tent-peg, from it, Bow-ready-for-Battle, from it, every type ofleader. Together
5 Todos se portarão como valentes guerreiros, que espezinham no combate a lama dos caminhos. Eles batalharão porque o Senhor está com eles; e serão confundidos os que vêm montados a cavalo.	5 they wil be like warriors trampling the dirt of the streets in battle; when they fight, because Yahweh iswith them, they wil put mounted men to rout.
6 Tornarei poderosa a casa de Judá, darei a vitória à casa de José; restabelecê-los-ei, porque me compadeci de sua sorte, e eles serão como se eu não os houvesse jamais rejeitado, porque eu sou o Senhor seu Deus: eu os ouvirei.	6 Then I shal make the House of Judah mighty and the House of Joseph victorious. I shal restore them,because I have taken pity on them, and they wil be as though I had never cast them off, for I am Yahweh theirGod and shal answer their prayer.
7 Efraim será como um herói; seu coração se alegrará, fortalecido pelo vinho; seus filhos verão tudo isso e se alegrarão, e seu coração exultará de júbilo no Senhor.	7 Ephraim will be like a warrior. Their hearts will be cheered as though by wine. Their children wil seethis and rejoice, their hearts wil exult in Yahweh.
8 Vou assobiar e reuni-los, porque os resgatei; serão tão numerosos como o eram outrora.	8 I shall whistle to them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them; they will be as numerous as theyused to be.
9 Eu os semeei por entre os povos, mas eles de longe se recordarão de mim; instruirão os seus filhos, e tornarão a voltar.	9 I shall scatter them among the peoples but in distant countries they will remember me, they wil instructtheir children and then return.
10 Eu os reconduzirei da terra do Egito, retirá-los-ei da Assíria, e os levarei para a terra de Galaad e do Líbano, e ali não haverá lugar bastante para eles.	10 I shal bring them home from Egypt and gather them back from Assyria; I shal lead them into Gileadand the Lebanon, and even that wil not be large enough for them.
11 Atravessarão o mar do Egito, e o Senhor ferirá as ondas do mar. O leito do Nilo será descoberto. A soberba da Assíria será humilhada, e o cetro do Egito será roubado.	11 They wil cross the sea of Egypt (and the waves of the sea wil be struck); al the depths of the Riverwil be dried up. The arrogance of Assyria wil be cast down and the sceptre of Egypt taken away.
12 O poder de Israel crescerá, graças ao Senhor, e eles andarão no seu nome - oráculo do Senhor.	12 I shal make them mighty in Yahweh, and they wil march in my name -- Yahweh declares.
