Ezequiel 30

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 A palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 filho do homem, profetiza o seguinte: eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: soltai gritos: Ah! Que dia!	2 'Son of man, prophesy and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Howl: Disaster day!
3 Porque está próximo o dia, está próximo o dia do Senhor, dia carregado de nuvens, dia marcado para as nações.	3 For the day is near, the day of Yahweh is near; it wil be a day dark with cloud, a time of doom for thenations.
4 Sobre o Egito vai abater-se a espada, sobre a Etiópia vai reinar o terror, quando os mortos tombarem no Egito, quando se arrebatarem as riquezas da terra, e forem destruídos os seus fundamentos.	4 "The sword wil come on Egypt, and anguish on the country of Cush when the slaughtered fal inEgypt, when her riches are carried away and her foundations are destroyed.
5 Etíopes, gente de Put e de Lud, populações mescladas, gentes de Cub, assim como os filhos da minha aliança cairão com eles sob a espada.	5 Cush, Put and Lud, all Arabia, Cub and the children of the country of the covenant will fal by thesword with them.
6 Eis o que diz o Senhor: eles cairão, os sustentáculos do Egito, e o orgulho que lhe inspirava sua potência será humilhado: desde Migdol até Siene se sucumbirá sob o gládio - oráculo do Senhor Javé.	6 "Yahweh says this: "The supports of Egypt wil fall; the pride of her strength wil crumble; they will fal by the sword from Migdol to Syene -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
7 O Egito será uma terra desolada entre todas, e suas cidades serão cidades arruinadas entre as demais.	7 "They will be the most desolate of desolate countries, and its cities the most ruined of cities.
8 Saber-se-á que sou eu o Senhor, quando eu tiver posto fogo no Egito e quando todos os seus aliados houverem fracassado.	8 And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I set fire to Egypt and al its supports are shattered.
9 Naquele dia, mensageiros de minha parte irão de navio para perturbar a segurança da Etiópia: sofrerá o terror, quando vier o dia do Egito; ora, ei-lo que vem.	9 "That day, I shal send messengers by ship to terrify the carefree Cushites, and anguish wil overtakethem on the day of Egypt -- it is coming now!
10 Eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: eu vou aniquilar as multidões que povoam o Egito, pela mão de Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia.	10 The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal destroy the huge population of Egypt at the hand ofNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
11 Ele e seu povo, povo brutal entre todos, vão ser enviados para assolar a terra; desembainharão a espada contra o Egito e cobrirão a terra de cadáveres.	11 He and his people, the most barbarous of nations, wil be brought to ravage the country. They wildraw the sword against Egypt and fil the country with corpses.
12 Eu deixarei secos os braços do Nilo, entregarei a terra a celerados, saqueá-la-ei e a tudo quanto encerra por mão de bárbaros. Sou eu, o Senhor, que o digo.	12 I shal dry up the courses of the Nile and sel the country to the wicked. I shal lay the whole countrywaste and everything in it, at the hand of foreigners. I, Yahweh, have spoken.
13 Eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: farei desaparecer os ídolos e suprimirei os falsos deuses de Nof. Não haverá mais príncipe no Egito, e espalharei o terror nessa terra.	13 "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall destroy the foul idols and take the false gods away from Noph.Egypt wil be left without a ruler. I shall spread fear through Egypt.
14 Devastarei Patros, meterei fogo a Tânis, exercerei meus julgamentos sobre No;	14 I shal lay Pathros waste, set Zoan on fire, inflict my punishments on No.
15 desencadearei o meu furor sobre Sin, a fortaleza do Egito; exterminarei a imensa população de No.	15 I shal vent my fury on Sin, the bastion of Egypt; I shall wipe out the throngs of No.
16 Meterei fogo ao Egito. Sin se retorcerá no sofrimento. No será estraçalhada e Nof será assaltada em pleno dia.	16 I shal set fire to Egypt; Sin will be seized with convulsions; a breach wil be opened at No and thewaters flood out.
17 Os jovens de On e de Bubasta tombarão sob a espada e sua população será deportada.	17 The young men of On and Pi-Beseth wil fal by the sword and the cities themselves go into captivity.
18 Em Tafnes, o dia se escurecerá quando eu quebrar o poder do Egito, e puser termo ao orgulho que lhe inspira esse poderio. Uma nuvem cobrirá a cidade, e suas filhas serão deportadas.	18 At Tahpanhes day will turn to darkness when I shatter the sceptres of Egypt there, when the pride ofher strength ceases. A cloud will cover Egypt itself, and its daughters will go into captivity.
19 Exercerei os meus juízos contra o Egito, e se saberá assim que sou eu o Senhor.	19 Such wil be the punishments I inflict on Egypt. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '
20 No décimo primeiro ano, no sétimo dia do primeiro mês, a palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:	20 In the eleventh year, on the seventh day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to meas fol ows,
21 filho do homem, quebrei o braço do faraó, rei do Egito, e ninguém o procurou para curar, ninguém lhe pôs ligadura para lhe dar força de manejar a espada.	21 'Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; you can see that no one has dressedhis wound by applying remedies to it, by bandaging it and by dressing it, to make it strong enough to wield thesword.
22 E por isso, eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: é contra o faraó, rei do Egito, que eu venho: vou romper-lhe também o braço são, do mesmo modo que aquele que já foi quebrado, e farei cair a espada de sua mão.	22 This being so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt; I shal breakhis arms, the sound one and the broken one, and make the sword drop from his hand.
23 Dispersarei os egípcios entre as nações, eu os disseminarei por diversos lugares.	23 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries.
24 Darei força ao braço do rei de Babilônia e lhe meterei na mão a minha espada; quebrarei o braço do faraó, que soltará diante de si gemidos de um homem ferido de morte.	24 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand. I shal breakPharaoh's arms and, confronted with his enemy, he wil groan like a dying man.
25 Darei vigor ao braço do rei de Babilônia, enquanto tombarem os braços do faraó. Saber-se-á que sou eu o Senhor, quando eu puser a minha espada na mão do rei de Babilônia, a qual ele brandirá contra o Egito.	25 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh wil fall. And they wilknow that I am Yahweh, when I put my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon and he wields it againstEgypt.
26 Eu dispersarei os egípcios entre as nações, disseminá-los-ei por diversos países. Assim reconhecerão que eu sou o Senhor.	26 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries; and they wil know that Iam Yahweh." '
