Isaías 46

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Bel cai, Nebo desmorona. Suas estátuas são carregadas em lombo de mula, fazem delas o fardo de animais exaustos.	1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.
2 Desmoronam todos e desabam; incapazes de salvar aqueles que os carregam, vão eles mesmos ao cativeiro.	2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.
3 Ouvi-me, casa de Jacó, e vós, sobreviventes da casa de Israel, que eu carreguei desde vosso nascimento e sustentei desde o seio materno:	3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.
4 permanecerei o mesmo até vossa velhice, sustentar-vos-ei até o tempo dos cabelos brancos; eu vos carregarei como já carreguei, cuidarei de vós e preservar-vos-ei;	4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.
5 a quem podereis comparar-me ou igualar-me? Quem poreis em paralelo comigo, que me seja igual?	5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?
6 Eis os que desembolsam seu ouro, e pesam a prata na balança; contratam um ourives para que ele faça um deus, diante do qual se prostram em adoração;	6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!
7 eles o carregam nos ombros e o transportam, depois o colocam em seu posto, onde se mantém, sem mais poder mover-se. Por mais que o invoquem, nunca responde, e não salva do infortúnio;	7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. You may cry out to it in distress, it never replies, it never saves anyone in trouble.
8 lembrai-vos disso, sede razoáveis, e entrai em vós mesmos, pecadores.	8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.
9 Recordai-vos do que se passou outrora. Só eu sou Deus, e não há nenhum outro, eu sou Deus e ninguém me é semelhante.	9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.
10 Desde o princípio eu predisse o futuro, anuncio antecipadamente o que ainda não se cumpriu. Meu plano realizar-se-á, executarei todas as minhas vontades.	10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;
11 Chamo do oriente uma ave de rapina, de uma terra longínqua o homem de meus desígnios. O que disse, executarei; o que concebi, realizarei.	11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.
12 Escutai-me, homens desanimados, que vos julgais longe da salvação!	12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:
13 Faço aproximar-se a salvação que prometi; ela não está longe: e a libertação que predisse não tardará. Darei a vitória a Sião, e minha glória a Israel.	13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.
