LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Salmo. Cantico. Per il giorno del sabato.	1 [Psalm Song For the Sabbath] It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, to make music for your name, MostHigh,
2 E' bello dar lode al Signore, inneggiare al tuo nome, o Altissimo,	2 to proclaim your faithful love at daybreak, and your constancy al through the night,
3 annunziando al mattino la tua misericordia, e la tua fedeltà lungo la notte,	3 on the lyre, the ten-stringed lyre, to the murmur of the harp.
4 sull'arpa a dieci corde e sulla lira, con melodia sonora, con la cetra!	4 You have brought me joy, Yahweh, by your deeds, at the work of your hands I cry out,
5 Poiché mi rallegri, o Signore, con le tue azioni, esulto per le opere delle tue mani.	5 'How great are your works, Yahweh, immensely deep your thoughts!'
6 Quanto sono grandi le tue opere, o Signore, come sono profondi i tuoi pensieri!	6 Stupid people cannot realise this, fools do not grasp it.
7 Questo non sa l'uomo insensato, non può comprenderlo colui che è stolto.	7 The wicked may sprout like weeds, and every evil-doer flourish, but only to be eternally destroyed;
8 Se germogliano gli empi come l'erba e tutti i malfattori fioriscono, è perché li attende una rovina sempiterna.	8 whereas you are supreme for ever, Yahweh.
9 Mentre tu, o Signore, rimani per sempre l'Eccelso.	9 Look how your enemies perish, how all evil-doers are scattered!
10 Poiché ecco: i tuoi nemici, o Signore, i tuoi nemici periranno, saranno dispersi tutti i malfattori.	10 You give me the strength of the wild ox, you anoint me with fresh oil;
11 Tu hai elevato la mia potenza come quella di un bufalo, mi hai cosparso di olio splendente.	11 I caught sight of the ambush against me, overheard the plans of the wicked.
12 Compiaciuti i miei occhi hanno guardato sui miei nemici, cose infauste hanno udito le mie orecchie riguardo ai malvagi, quanti erano insorti contro di me.	12 The upright wil flourish like the palm tree, will grow like a cedar of Lebanon.
13 Fioriscono i giusti come palme, crescono come i cedri del Libano;	13 Planted in the house of Yahweh, they wil flourish in the courts of our God.
14 trapiantati nella casa del Signore, fioriscono negli atri del nostro Dio.	14 In old age they wil stil bear fruit, wil remain fresh and green,
15 Perfino nella vecchiaia dànno il loro frutto, rimanendo sempre vegeti e rigogliosi,	15 to proclaim Yahweh's integrity; my rock, in whom no fault can be found.
16 per narrare che retto è il Signore, mia roccia, e non c'è in lui alcuna ingiustizia.
