LA SACRA BIBBIA	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Lode. Di Davide. Voglio esaltarti, o Re mio Dio, voglio benedire il tuo nome, in eterno e per sempre.	1 Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war.
2 Ogni giorno voglio benedirti e lodare il tuo nome, in eterno e per sempre.	2 My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.
3 Grande è il Signore, degno d'ogni lode, insondabile è la sua grandezza.	3 Lord, what is man, that thou art made known to him? or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?
4 Di generazione in generazione narrino le tue opere, annunzino le tue meraviglie.	4 Man is like to vanity: his days pass away like a shadow.
5 Proclamino lo splendore della tua maestà, meditino le tue meraviglie.	5 Lord, bow down thy heavens and descend: touch the mountains and they shall smoke.
6 Dicano la potenza dei tuoi prodigi, narrino le tue grandi imprese.	6 Send forth lightning, and thou shalt scatter them: shoot out thy arrows, and thou shalt trouble them.
7 Divulghino il ricordo della tua grande bontà, celebrino con giubilo la tua giustizia.	7 Put forth thy hand from on high, take me out, and deliver me from many waters: from the hand of strange children:
8 Paziente e misericordioso è il Signore, lento all'ira e grande in misericordia.	8 Whose mouth hath spoken vanity: and their right hand is the right hand of iniquity.
9 Buono è il Signore verso tutti, verso tutte le sue opere è la sua tenerezza.	9 To thee, O God, I will sing a new canticle: on the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings I will sing praises to thee.
10 Ti celebrino, Signore, tutte le creature, ti benedicano i tuoi fedeli.	10 Who givest salvation to kings: who hast redeemed thy servant David from the malicious sword:
11 Dicano la gloria del tuo regno, parlino della tua magnificenza.	11 Deliver me, And rescue me out of the hand of strange children; whose mouth hath spoken vanity: and their right hand is the right hand of iniquity:
12 Facciano conoscere ai figli degli uomini la sua magnificenza, la gloria e lo splendore del suo regno.	12 Whose sons are as new plants in their youth: Their daughters decked out, adorned round about after the similitude of a temple:
13 Il tuo regno è regno di tutti i secoli, il tuo dominio per ogni generazione. Fedele è il Signore in tutte le sue promesse, santo in tutte le sue opere.	13 Their storehouses full, flowing out of this into that. Their sheep fruitful in young, abounding in their goings forth:
14 Egli sostiene quelli che vacillano, rialza quanti sono caduti.	14 their oxen fat. There is no breach of wall, nor passage, nor crying out in their streets.
15 A te sono rivolti in attesa gli occhi di tutti, e tu dài loro il cibo a tempo opportuno.	15 They have called the people happy, that hath these things: but happy is that people whose God is the Lord.
16 Tu apri la tua mano e sazi a volontà ogni vivente.
17 Giusto è il Signore in tutte le sue vie, santo in tutte le sue opere.
18 Il Signore sta vicino a quanti l'invocano, a tutti quelli che l'invocano con sincerità.
19 Appaga il desiderio di quanti lo temono, ascolta il loro grido d'aiuto, e li salva.
20 Il Signore custodisce tutti quelli che l'amano, ma tutti gli empi, egli li disperde.
21 Dica la mia bocca la lode del Signore, ogni vivente benedica il suo santo nome, in eterno e per sempre!
