Lettera ai Colossesi 4

1 - Voi, padroni, date agli schiavi quel che è giusto ed equo, sapendo che anche voi avete un Signore nel cielo.	1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, realizing that you too have a Master in heaven.
2 Perseverate nella preghiera vegliando in essa con senso di gratitudine;	2 Persevere in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;
3 pregando insieme anche per noi affinchè Iddio ci apra la porta della parola, e ci sia dato annunziare il mistero di Cristo, per il quale anche sono ora in catene;	3 at the same time, pray for us, too, that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak of the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison,
4 affinchè io lo manifesti come conviene ch'io parli.	4 that I may make it clear, as I must speak.
5 Diportatevi saviamente con gli estranei, cogliendo il tempo opportuno.	5 Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
6 E il vostro parlare sia sempre grazioso, avveduto, per sapere come abbiate a rispondere a ciascuno.	6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.
7 Le cose mie ve le farà conoscere Tichico, fratello carissimo, e ministro fedele e conservo nel Signore,	7 Tychicus, my beloved brother, trustworthy minister, and fellow slave in the Lord, will tell you all the news of me.
8 cui ho mandato a voi, giusto perchè sappiate le cose nostre e perchè conforti i vostri cuori;	8 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us and that he may encourage your hearts,
9 e l'ho mandato insieme col fedele e caro fratello Onesimo che è dei vostri. Tutto vi faranno essi conoscere delle cose di qui.	9 together with Onesimus, a trustworthy and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here.

11 e Gesù soprannominato il Giusto; i quali provengono dai circoncisi; quegli soli sono miei cooperatori per il regno di Dio, e mi sono stati di conforto.	11 and Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision; these alone are my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.
12 Vi saluta Epafra che è dei vostri, servo di Cristo Gesù, il quale si adopra sempre nelle sue orazioni a pro di voi, affinchè, perfetti, e pienamente convinti, rimaniate saldi in ogni volere di Dio.	12 Epaphras sends you greetings; he is one of you, a slave of Christ (Jesus), always striving for you in his prayers so that you may be perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
13 Io sono a lui testimone che si preoccupa molto di voi, e di quei di Laodicea, e di quei di Gerapoli.	13 For I can testify that he works very hard for you and for those in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis.
14 Vi saluta Luca, l'amato medico, e Demade.	14 Luke the beloved physician sends greetings, as does Demas.
15 Voi salutate i fratelli di Laodicea, e Ninfa e la chiesa di casa sua.	15 Give greetings to the brothers in Laodicea and to Nympha and to the church in her house.
16 E quando questa lettera sia stata letta da voialtri, fate in modo che sia letta anche nella chiesa di Laodicea, e quella che verrà da Laodicea fate in modo di leggerla anche voi.	16 And when this letter is read before you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and you yourselves read the one from Laodicea.
17 E dite ad Archippo: «Bada al ministero che hai ricevuto nel nome del Signore, e fa' di adempirlo!».	17 And tell Archippus, "See that you fulfill the ministry that you received in the Lord."
