Philippians 3

1 Concerning other things, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. It is certainly not tiresome for me to write the same things to you, but for you, it is not necessary.	1 Fratelli miei, da ora inanzi rallegratevi in Dio; chè a me non è pigrizia di scrivere a voi queste cose, le quali son necessarie.
2 Beware of dogs; beware of those who work evil; beware of those who are divisive.	2 Vedete li cani, vedete li malvagi operatori, come vi vogliono seducere alla circoncisione.
3 For we are the circumcised, we who serve God in the Spirit and who glory in Christ Jesus, having no confidence in the flesh.	3 Chè noi siamo bene circoncisi, quando noi serviame a Dio con spirito, e allegriamoci in Cristo Iesu, non abbiendo speranza nella (circoncisione della) carne.
4 Nevertheless, I might have confidence also in the flesh, for if anyone else seems to have confidence in the flesh, more so do I.	4 E certo, se niuno si confida in circoncisione di carne, molto maggiormente io,
5 For I was circumcised on the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, from the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew among Hebrews. According to the law, I was a Pharisee;	5 che fui circonciso l'ottavo dì (che io fui nato), chè io son di generazione d'Israel, e di tribù di Beniamin, e son ebreo nato degli ebrei; e secondo la legge fui Fariseo.
6 according to zeal, I persecuted the Church of God; according to the justice that is in the law, I lived without blame.	6 E secondo l'amore della legge fui persecutore della legge di Dio; e secondo la giustizia, la qual è nella legge, io conversai senza richiamo (e senza alcuno falso).
7 But the things which had been to my gain, the same have I considered a loss, for the sake of Christ.	7 Ma quelle cose le quali mi parea che mi fossero buone, tutte mi penso che mi fossero danno per amore di Cristo.
8 Yet truly, I consider everything to be a loss, because of the preeminent knowledge of Jesus Christ, my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of everything, considering it all to be like dung, so that I may gain Christ,	8 E certo tutte le tengo in dannazione, per la grande scienza del mio Signore Iesù Cristo; per amor del quale tutte le cose tengo come fango puzzolente, acciò che possa guadagnare Cristo,
9 and so that you may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, the justice within faith, which is of God.	9 e perchè io sia trovato in lui tale, ch' io non abbia questa giustizia in me la quale è nella legge, ma quella ch' è per la fede di Iesù Cristo; la qual è da Dio giustizia in fede,
10 So shall I know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his Passion, having been fashioned according to his death,	10 a conoscere lui, e conoscere la virtù della resurrezione di Iesù Cristo, e la compagnia della sua passione, la qual è affigurata nella sua morte;
11 if, by some means, I might attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.	11 se per alcuna guisa io potessi venire alla resurrezione, per la qual resuscita altri della morte;
12 It is not as though I have already received this, or were already perfect. But rather I pursue, so that by some means I might attain, that in which I have already been attained by Christ Jesus.	12 non perchè io abbia ancora compreso, o perchè io sia ancora perfetto; ma vo dopo essa, se per alcuna guisa io potessi comprendere quello ch' io son già compreso di Iesù Cristo.
13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have already attained this. Instead, I do one thing: forgetting those things that are behind, and extending myself toward those things that are ahead,	13 Fratelli, io non mi penso di avere compreso ancora (una cosa); ma quelle cose, le quali son passate in qua dietro, dimenticando, ed estendendomi a quelle cose che son inanzi,
14 I pursue the destination, the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.	14 io corro all' impromesso palio della soprana vocazione di Dio (la quale è fatta) in Iesù Cristo.
15 Therefore, as many of us as are being perfected, let us agree about this. And if in anything you disagree, God will reveal this to you also.	15 Adunque quanto più siamo perfetti, questo sentiamo, e se alcuna altra cosa voi conoscete, la qual Dio vi rivelasse.
16 Yet truly, whatever point we reach, let us be of the same mind, and let us remain in the same rule.	16 Certo imperò perveniamo a quello, perchè noi sentiamo quella cosa, e in una medesima gloria permaniamo.
17 Be imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who are walking similarly, just as you have seen by our example.	17 Fratelli (carissimi), andate dopo me, e guardate quelli che vanno, secondo che voi avete la nostra forma.
18 For many persons, about whom I have often told you (and now tell you, weeping,) are walking as enemies of the cross of Christ.	18 Chè molti ne vanno male, de' quali spesse volte io vel dicea, e ancora io vi dico piangendo, (imperò) che son nemici della croce di Cristo.
19 Their end is destruction; their god is their belly; and their glory is in their shame: for they are immersed in earthly things.	19 La fine delli quali si è perdizione; delli quali il ventre [è Dio]; e la gloria di coloro è in vergogna (mutata), li quali amano pure le terrene cose.
20 But our way of life is in heaven. And from heaven, too, we await the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ,	20 Ma la nostra conversazione sì è in cielo; del qual luogo noi aspettiamo il Salvatore, nostro Signore, Iesù Cristo.
21 who will transform the body of our lowliness, according to the form of the body of his glory, by means of that power by which he is even able to subject all things to himself.	21 Il qual riformerà il corpo della nostra umiltà, assimigliato al corpo della sua chiarezza, secondo l'operazione sua, per la qual possa sottomettere a sè tutte le cose.
