2 Corinthians 13

1 Behold, this is the third time that I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall stand.	1 Ecco, questa è la terza volta ch’io vengo a voi; ogni parola è confermata per la bocca di due, o di tre testimoni.
2 I have preached when present, and I will preach now while absent, to those who sinned before, and to all the others, because, when I arrive again, I will not be lenient with you.	2 Già l’ho detto innanzi tratto, e lo dico ancora, come presente; anzi, essendo assente, ora scrivo a coloro che hanno innanzi peccato, e tutti gli altri: che se io vengo di nuovo, non risparmierò alcuno.
3 Do you seek evidence that it is Christ who speaks in me, who is not weak with you, but is powerful with you?	3 Poichè voi cercate la prova di Cristo che parla in me, il quale inverso voi non è debole, ma è potente in voi.
4 For although he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. And yes, we are weak in him. But we shall live with him by the power of God among you.	4 Perciocchè, se egli è stato crocifisso per debolezza, pur vive egli per la potenza di Dio; perciocchè ancora noi siam deboli in lui, ma viveremo con lui, per la potenza di Dio, inverso voi.
5 Test yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not know whether Christ Jesus is in you? But perhaps you are reprobates.	5 Provate voi stessi, se siete nella fede; fate sperienza di voi stessi; non vi riconoscete voi stessi, che Gesù Cristo è in voi? se già non siete riprovati.
6 But I hope you know that we ourselves are not reprobates.	6 Ed io spero che voi riconoscerete che noi non siam riprovati
7 Now we pray to God that you shall do nothing evil, not so that we may seem to be approved, but so that you may do what is good, even if we seem like reprobates.	7 Or io prego Iddio che voi non facciate alcun male; non acciocchè noi appaiamo approvati, ma acciocchè voi facciate quel che è bene, e noi siamo come riprovati.
8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.	8 Perciocchè noi non possiam nulla contro alla verità, ma tutto ciò che possiamo è per la verità.
9 For we rejoice that we are weak, while you are strong. This is also what we pray for: your perfection.	9 Poichè ci rallegriamo quando siam deboli, e voi siete forti; ma ben desideriamo ancora questo, cioè il vostro intiero ristoramento.
10 Therefore, I write these things while absent, so that, when present, I may not have to act more harshly, according to the authority which the Lord has given to me, for edification and not for destruction.	10 Perciò, io scrivo queste cose, essendo assente; acciocchè, essendo presente, io non proceda rigidamente, secondo la podestà, la quale il Signore mi ha data, a edificazione, e non a distruzione
11 As to the rest, brothers, rejoice, be perfect, be encouraged, have the same mind, have peace. And so the God of peace and love will be with you.	11 Nel rimanente, fratelli, rallegratevi, siate ristorati, siate consolati, abbiate un medesimo sentimento, e state in pace;
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.	12 e l’Iddio della carità, e della pace sarà con voi.
13 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the charity of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.	13 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio; tutti i santi vi salutano.
	14 La grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo, e la carità di Dio, e la comunione dello Spirito Santo, sia con tutti voi. Amen
