Romans 15

1 But we who are stronger must bear with the feebleness of the weak, and not so as to please ourselves.	1 Nosotros, los fuertes, debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los débiles y no buscar nuestro propio agrado.
2 Each one of you should please his neighbor unto good, for edification.	2 Que cada uno de nosotros trate de agradar a su prójimo para el bien, buscando su edificación;
3 For even Christ did not please himself, but as it was written: “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell upon me.”	3 pues tampoco Cristo buscó su propio agrado, antes bien, como dice la Escritura: Los ultrajes de los que te ultrajaron cayeron sobre mi.
4 For whatever was written, was written to teach us, so that, through patience and the consolation of the Scriptures, we might have hope.	4 En efecto todo cuanto fue escrito en el pasado, se escribió para enseñanza nuestra, para que con la paciencia y el consuelo que dan las Escrituras mantengamos la esperanza.
5 So may the God of patience and solace grant you to be of one mind toward one another, in accord with Jesus Christ,	5 Y el Dios de la paciencia y del consuelo os conceda tener los unos para con los otros los mismos sentimientos, según Cristo Jesús,
6 so that, together with one mouth, you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.	6 para que unánimes, a una voz, glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
7 For this reason, accept one another, just as Christ also has accepted you, in the honor of God.	7 Por tanto, acogeos mutuamente como os acogio Cristo para gloria de Dios.
8 For I declare that Christ Jesus was the minister of circumcision because of the truth of God, so as to confirm the promises to the fathers,	8 Pues afirmo que Cristo se puso al servicio de los circuncisos a favor de la veracidad de Dios, para dar cumplimiento a las promesas hechas a los patriarcas,
9 and that the Gentiles are to honor God because of his mercy, just as it was written: “Because of this, I will confess you among the Gentiles, O Lord, and I will sing to your name.”	9 y para que los gentiles glorificasen a Dios por su misericordia, como dice la Escritura: Por eso te bendeciré entre los gentiles y ensalzaré tu nombre.
10 And again, he says: “Rejoice, O Gentiles, along with his people.”	10 Y en otro lugar: Gentiles, regocijaos juntamente con su pueblo;
11 And again: “All Gentiles, praise the Lord; and all peoples, magnify him.”	11 y de nuevo: Alabad, gentiles todos, al Señor y cántenle himnos todos los pueblos.
12 And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse, and he shall rise up to rule the Gentiles, and in him the Gentiles shall hope.”	12 Y a su vez Isaías dice: Aparecerá el retoño de Jesé, el que se levanta para imperar sobre los gentiles. En él pondrán los gentiles su esperanza.
13 So may the God of hope fill you with every joy and with peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope and in the virtue of the Holy Spirit.	13 El Dios de la esperanza os colme de todo gozo y paz en vuestra fe, hasta rebosar de esperanza por la fuerza del Espíritu Santo.
14 But I am also certain about you, my brothers, that you also have been filled with love, completed with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.	14 Por mi parte estoy persuadido, hermanos míos, en lo que a vosotros toca, de que también vosotros estáis llenos de buenas disposiciones, henchidos de todo conocimiento y capacitados también para amonestaros mutuamente.
15 But I have written to you, brothers, more boldly than to the others, as if calling you to mind again, because of the grace which has been given to me from God,	15 Sin embargo, en algunos pasajes os he escrito con cierto atrevimiento, como para reavivar vuestros recuerdos, en virtud de la gracia que me ha sido otorgada por Dios,
16 so that I may be a minister of Christ Jesus among the Gentiles, sanctifying the Gospel of God, in order that the oblation of the Gentiles may be made acceptable and may be sanctified in the Holy Spirit.	16 de ser para los gentiles ministro de Cristo Jesús, ejerciendo el sagrado oficio del Evangelio de Dios, para que la oblación de los gentiles sea agradable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.
17 Therefore, I have glory in Christ Jesus before God.	17 Tengo, pues, de qué gloriarme en Cristo Jesús en lo referente al servicio de Dios.
18 So I dare not speak of any of those things which Christ does not effect through me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, in word and deed,	18 Pues no me atreveré a hablar de cosa alguna que Cristo no haya realizado por medio de mi para conseguir la obediencia de los gentiles, de palabra y de obra,
19 with the power of signs and wonders, by power of the Holy Spirit. For in this way, from Jerusalem, throughout its surroundings, as far as Illyricum, I have replenished the Gospel of Christ.	19 en virtud de señales y prodigios, en virtud del Espíritu de Dios, tanto que desde Jerusalén y en todas direcciones hasta el Ilírico he dado cumplimiento al Evangelio de Cristo;
20 And so I have preached this Gospel, not where Christ was known by name, lest I build upon the foundation of another,	20 teniendo así, como punto de honra, no anunciar el Evangelio sino allí donde el nombre de Cristo no era aún conocido, para no construir sobre cimientos ya puestos por otros,
21 but just as it was written: “Those to whom he was not announced shall perceive, and those who have not heard shall understand.”	21 antes bien, como dice la Escritura: Los que ningún anuncio recibieron de él, le verán, y los que nada oyeron, comprenderán.
22 Because of this also, I was greatly hindered in coming to you, and I have been prevented until the present time.	22 Esa era la razón por la cual siempre me veía impedido de llegar hasta vosotros.
23 Yet truly now, having no other destination in these regions, and having already had a great desire to come to you over the past many years,	23 Mas ahora, no teniendo ya campo de acción en estas regiones, y deseando vivamente desde hace muchos años ir donde vosotros,
24 when I begin to set out on my journey to Spain, I hope that, as I pass by, I may see you, and I may be guided from there by you, after first having borne some fruit among you.	24 cuando me dirija a España... Pues espero veros al pasar, y ser encaminado por vosotros hacia allá, después de haber disfrutado un poco de vuestra compañía.
25 But next I will set out for Jerusalem, to minister to the saints.	25 Mas, por ahora, voy a Jerusalén para el servicio de los santos,
26 For those of Macedonia and Achaia have decided to make a collection for those of the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.	26 pues Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron a bien hacer una colecta en favor de los pobres de entre los santos de Jerusalén.
27 And this has pleased them, because they are in their debt. For, since the Gentiles have become partakers of their spiritual things, they also ought to minister to them in worldly things.	27 Lo tuvieron a bien, y debían hacérselo; pues si los gentiles han participado en sus bienes espirituales, ellos a su vez deben servirles con sus bienes temporales.
28 Therefore, when I have completed this task, and have consigned to them this fruit, I shall set out, by way of you, to Spain.	28 Así que, una vez terminado este asunto, y entregado oficialmente el fruto de la colecta, partiré para España, pasando por vosotros.
29 And I know that when I come to you I shall arrive with an abundance of the blessings of the Gospel of Christ.	29 Y bien sé que, al ir a vosotros, lo haré con la plenitud de las bendiciones de Cristo.
30 Therefore, I beg you, brothers, through our Lord Jesus Christ and though the love of the Holy Spirit, that you assist me with your prayers to God on my behalf,	30 Pero os suplico, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu Santo, que luchéis juntamente conmigo en vuestras oraciones rogando a Dios por mí,
31 so that I may be freed from the unfaithful who are in Judea, and so that the oblation of my service may be acceptable to the saints in Jerusalem.	31 para que me vea libre de los incredulos de Judea, y el socorro que llevo a Jerusalén sea bien recibido por los santos;
32 So may I come to you with joy, through the will of God, and so may I be refreshed with you.	32 y pueda también llegar con alegría a vosotros por la voluntad de Dios, y disfrutar de algún reposo entre vosotros.
33 And may the God of peace be with you all. Amen.	33 El Dios de la paz sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
