1 on the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of king Darius.	1 Εν τω εβδομω μηνι, τη εικοστη πρωτη του μηνος, εγεινε λογος Κυριου δι' Αγγαιου του προφητου, λεγων,
2 And in the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:	2 Λαλησον τωρα προς Ζοροβαβελ τον υιον του Σαλαθιηλ, τον διοικητην του Ιουδα, και προς Ιησουν τον υιον του Ιωσεδεκ, τον ιερεα τον μεγαν, και προς το υπολοιπον του λαου, λεγων,
3 Speak to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, the governor of Judah, and to Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remainder of the people, saying:	3 Τις μεταξυ σας εμεινεν, οστις ειδε τον οικον τουτον εν τη πρωτη αυτου δοξη; και οποιον τωρα σεις βλεπετε αυτον; δεν ειναι εις τους οφθαλμους σας ως ουδεν, συγκρινομενος προς εκεινον;
4 Who is left among you, who saw this house in its first glory? And how do you see it now? Is it not, in comparison to that, as nothing in your eyes?	4 Πλην ενδυναμου τωρα, Ζοροβαβελ, λεγει Κυριος, και ενδυναμου, Ιησου, υιε του Ιωσεδεκ, ο ιερευς ο μεγας, και ενδυναμου, πας ο λαος του τοπου, λεγει Κυριος, και εργαζεσθε? διοτι εγω ειμαι με σας, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.
5 And now be strengthened, Zerubbabel, says the Lord. And be strengthened, Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. And be strengthened, all people of the land, says the Lord of hosts. For I am with you, says the Lord of hosts.	5 Κατα τον λογον της προς εσας διαθηκης μου, οτε εξηλθετε εξ Αιγυπτου, το πνευμα μου θελει μενει μεταξυ σας? μη φοβεισθε.
6 And act according to the word that I planted with you when you departed from the land of Egypt. And my Spirit will be in your midst. Do not be afraid.	6 Διοτι ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων? Ετι απαξ μετ' ολιγον εγω θελω σεισει τον ουρανον και την γην και την θαλασσαν και την ξηραν.
7 For thus says the Lord of hosts: There is yet one brief time, and I will move heaven and earth, and the sea and the dry land.	7 Και θελω σεισει παντα τα εθνη, και θελει ελθει ο εκλεκτος παντων των εθνων, και θελω εμπλησει τον οικον τουτον δοξης, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.
8 And I will move all nations. And the Desired of all nations will arrive. And I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.	8 Εμου ειναι το αργυριον και εμου το χρυσιον, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.
9 Mine is the silver, and mine is the gold, says the Lord of hosts.	9 Η δοξα του εσχατου τουτου οικου θελει εισθαι μεγαλητερα της του πρωτου, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων? και εν τω τοπω τουτω θελω δωσει ειρηνην, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.
10 Great shall be the glory of this house, the last more than the first, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place, I will bestow peace, says the Lord of hosts.	10 Εν τη εικοστη τεταρτη του εννατου μηνος, εν τω δευτερω ετει του Δαρειου, εγεινε λογος Κυριου δι' Αγγαιου του προφητου, λεγων,
11 On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of king Darius, the word of the Lord came to Haggai the prophet, saying:	11 Ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων? Ερωτησον τωρα τους ιερεις περι του νομου, λεγων,
12 Thus says the Lord of hosts: the priests question the law, saying:	12 Εαν λαβη τις κρεας αγιον εν τω ακρω του ιματιου αυτου και δια του ακρου αυτου εγγιση αρτον η μαγειρευμα η οινον η ελαιον η παν φαγητον, θελει αγιασθη; Και οι ιερεις απεκριθησαν και ειπον, Ουχι.
13 If a man will have carried sanctified flesh in the pocket of his garment, and the top of it touches his bread, or appetizer, or wine, or oil, or any food, shall it be sanctified? But the priests responded by saying, “No.”	13 Και ειπεν ο Αγγαιος, Εαν ακαθαρτος απο νεκρου σωματος εγγιση τι εξ αυτων, θελει μιανθη; Και οι ιερεις απεκριθησαν και ειπον, Θελει μιανθη.
14 And Haggai said, “If the polluted in soul will have touched any of all these things, shall it be contaminated?” And the priests responded and said, “It shall be contaminated.”	14 Και απεκριθη ο Αγγαιος και ειπεν, Ουτως ειναι ο λαος ουτος και ουτω το εθνος τουτο ενωπιον μου, λεγει ο Κυριος, και ουτω παν εργον των χειρων αυτων? και ο, τι προσφερουσιν εκει, ειναι μεμιασμενον.
15 And Haggai answered and he said: Such is this people, and such is this nation before my face, says the Lord, and such is all the work of their hands. And so all that they have offered there has been contaminated.	15 Και τωρα λοιπον συλλογισθητε? απο της ημερας ταυτης και επεκεινα, πριν τεθη λιθος επι λιθον εν τω ναω του Κυριου,
16 And now, consider in your hearts, from this day and beyond, before stone may be placed upon stone in the temple of the Lord:	16 πριν γεινωσι ταυτα, επορευετο τις εις σωρον εικοσι μετρων και ησαν δεκα? επορευετο εις τον ληνον δια να εξαντληση πεντηκοντα μετρα απο του ληνου, και ησαν εικοσι.
17 when you approached a pile of twenty measures, and they became ten, and you entered to the press, to press out fifty bottles, and they became twenty,	17 Σας επαταξα με ανεμοφθοριαν και με ερυσιβην και με χαλαζαν εν πασι τοις εργοις των χειρων σας? πλην σεις δεν επεστρεψατε προς εμε, λεγει Κυριος.
18 how I struck you with a burning wind, and a mildew, and a hailstorm, all the works of your hand, yet there was no one among you who returned to me, says the Lord.	18 Συλλογισθητε τωρα? απο της ημερας ταυτης και επεκεινα, απο της εικοστης τεταρτης ημερας του εννατου μηνος απο της ημερας καθ' ην εθεμελιωθη ο ναος του Κυριου, συλλογισθητε.
19 Set your hearts from this day and into the future, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundations of the temple of the Lord have been uttered, and place it upon your heart.	19 Ειναι ο σπορος ετι εν τη αποθηκη; ετι και η αμπελος και η συκη και η ροιδια και η ελαια δεν εκαρποφορησαν? απο της ημερας ταυτης θελω ευλογησει αυτα.
20 Has the seed been germinated yet? And has the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree still not flourished? From this day on, I will bless you.	20 Και εγεινε παλιν λογος Κυριου προς τον Αγγαιον τη εικοστη τεταρτη του μηνος λεγων,
21 And the word of the Lord came a second time to Haggai, on the twenty-fourth of the month, saying:	21 Λαλησον προς Ζοροβαβελ, τον διοικητην του Ιουδα, λεγων, Εγω σειω τον ουρανον και την γην?
22 Speak to Zerubbabel the governor of Judah, saying: I will move both heaven and earth.	22 και θελω καταστρεψει τον θρονον των βασιλειων και θελω εξολοθρευσει το κρατος των βασιλειων των εθνων? και θελω καταστρεψει αμαξας και τους αναβατας αυτων, και οι ιπποι και οι αναβαται αυτων θελουσι πεσει, εκαστος δια της ρομφαιας του αδελφου αυτου.
23 And I will overturn the throne of kingdoms, and I will crush the strength of the kingdom of the Gentiles. And I will overturn the four-horse chariot, and its rider; and the horses and their riders shall be brought down, a man by the sword of his brother.	23 Εν τη ημερα εκεινη, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων, θελω λαβει σε, Ζοροβαβελ, τον δουλον μου, τον υιον του Σαλαθιηλ, λεγει Κυριος, και θελω σε θεσει ως σφραγιδα, διοτι σε εξελεξα, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.
24 In that day, says the Lord of hosts, I will take you, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, my servant, says the Lord, and will set you like a seal, for I have chosen you, says the Lord of hosts.
