Ezekiel 12

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 “Son of man, you live in the midst of a provoking house. They have eyes to see, and they do not see; and ears to hear, and they do not hear. For they are a provoking house.	2 Fils d'homme, tu habites au milieu d'une engeance de rebelles qui ont des yeux pour voir et nevoient point, des oreilles pour entendre et n'entendent point, car c'est une engeance de rebelles.
3 As for you, then, son of man, prepare for yourself the supplies for traveling far away, and travel away in the daytime in their sight. And you shall travel from your place to another place in their sight, so that perhaps they may consider it. For they are a provoking house.	3 Et toi, fils d'homme, fais-toi un bagage d'exilé et pars en exil sous leurs yeux. Tu partiras du lieuoù tu te trouves vers un autre lieu, à leurs yeux. Peut-être reconnaîtront-ils qu'ils sont une engeance de rebelles.
4 And you shall carry your supplies outside, like the supplies of one who is traveling far away, in the daytime in their sight. Then you shall go forth in the evening in their presence, just as one goes forth who is moving far away.	4 Tu arrangeras tes affaires comme un bagage d'exilé, de jour, à leurs yeux. Et toi, tu sortiras le soir,à leurs yeux, comme sortent les exilés.
5 Dig for yourself through the wall, before their eyes. And you shall go out through it.	5 A leurs yeux, fais un trou dans le mur, par où tu sortiras.
6 In their sight, you shall be carried on shoulders, you shall be carried in the dark. You shall cover your face, and you shall not see the ground. For I have appointed you as a portent for the house of Israel.”	6 A leurs yeux, tu chargeras ton ballot sur l'épaule et tu sortiras dans l'obscurité; tu te couvriras levisage pour ne pas voir le pays, car j'ai fait de toi un présage pour la maison d'Israël.
7 Therefore, I did just as he had instructed me. I brought out my supplies in the daytime, like the supplies of one who is moving far away. And in the evening, I dug myself through the wall by hand. And I went out in the dark, and I was carried on shoulders, in their sight.	7 J'agis donc selon l'ordre que j'avais reçu: j'arrangeai mes affaires comme un bagage d'exilé, dejour, et le soir je fis un trou dans le mur avec la main; puis je sortis dans l'obscurité et je chargeai mon ballot surl'épaule, à leurs yeux.
8 And the word of the Lord came to me, in the morning, saying:	8 Alors la parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, le matin, en ces termes:
9 “Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to you: ‘What are you doing?’	9 Fils d'homme, la maison d'Israël, cette engeance de rebelles, ne t'a-t-elle pas dit: "Que fais-tu là?"
10 Say to them: Thus says the Lord God: This is the burden concerning my leader who is in Jerusalem, and concerning the entire house of Israel, who are in their midst.	10 Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Cet oracle est prononcé à Jérusalem et dans toute lamaison d'Israël où ils résident.
11 Say: I am your portent. Just as I have done, so shall it be done to them. They will be taken captive and moved far away.	11 Dis: Je suis votre présage; comme j'ai fait, il leur sera fait; ils iront en déportation, en exil.
12 And the leader who is in their midst will be carried on shoulders; he will go forth in darkness. They will dig through the wall, so that they may lead him away. His face will be covered, so that he may not see the land with his eye.	12 Le prince qui est parmi eux chargera son bagage sur ses épaules, dans l'obscurité, et sortira par lemur qu'on percera pour faire une sortie; il se couvrira le visage pour ne pas voir de ses yeux le pays.
13 And I will extend my net over him, and he will be captured in my dragnet. And I will lead him to Babylon, into the land of the Chaldeans, but he himself will not see it. And there he shall die.	13 J'étendrai mon filet sur lui et il sera pris dans mon rets; je le mènerai à Babylone, au pays desChaldéens, mais il ne le verra pas et il y mourra.
14 And all who are around him, his guards and his companies, I will scatter into every wind. And I will unsheathe the sword after them.	14 Tout ce qui forme son entourage, sa garde et toutes ses troupes, je les disperserai à tous les ventset je tirerai l'épée derrière eux.
15 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have dispersed them among the Gentiles, and will have sowed them among the lands.	15 Et ils sauront que je suis Yahvé lorsque je les disséminerai parmi les nations et que je lesdisperserai dans les pays étrangers.
16 And I will leave behind a few men of them, apart from the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence, so that they may declare all their wicked deeds among the Gentiles, to whom they will go. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”	16 Mais je laisserai quelques-uns d'entre eux qui échapperont à l'épée, à la famine et à la peste pourraconter toutes leurs abominations parmi les nations où ils se rendront, afin qu'elles sachent que je suis Yahvé.
17 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	17 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
18 “Son of man, eat your bread in consternation. Moreover, drink your water hurriedly and in sorrow.	18 Fils d'homme, tu mangeras ton pain en tremblant et tu boiras ton eau dans l'inquiétude etl'angoisse:
19 And say to the people of the land: Thus says the Lord God, to those who are living in Jerusalem, in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread in anxiety, and drink their water in desolation, so that the land may be desolate before its multitude, because of the iniquity of all who are living in it.	19 et tu diras au peuple du pays: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé aux habitants de Jérusalemdispersés sur le sol d'Israël: ils mangeront leur pain dans l'angoisse, ils boiront leur eau avec effroi, afin que lepays et ceux qui s'y trouvent soient débarrassés de la violence de tous ses habitants.
20 And cities that are now inhabited will become desolate, and the land will be forsaken. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”	20 Les villes peuplées seront détruites, le pays deviendra une désolation et vous saurez que je suisYahvé.
21 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	21 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
22 “Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel? saying: ‘The days shall be extended in length, and every vision shall perish.’	22 Fils d'homme, que voulez-vous dire par ce proverbe prononcé sur la terre d'Israël: Les jourss'ajoutent aux jours et toute vision s'évanouit?
23 Therefore, say to them: Thus says the Lord God: I will cause this proverb to cease, and it shall no longer be a common saying in Israel. And tell them that the days are approaching, and the word of every vision.	23 Eh bien! dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Je ferai taire ce proverbe, on ne le répétera plusen Israël. Mais dis-leur: Les jours approchent où toute vision s'accomplit,
24 For there shall be no longer be any empty visions, nor any ambiguous divination in the midst of the sons of Israel.	24 car il n'y aura plus ni vision vaine ni présage trompeur au milieu de la maison d'Israël,
25 For I, the Lord, will speak. And whatever word I will speak, it shall be done, and it shall not be delayed any more. Instead, in your days, O provoking house, I will speak a word and do it, says the Lord God.”	25 car c'est moi, Yahvé, qui parlerai. Ce que je dis est dit et s'accomplira sans délai; car c'est devotre temps, engeance de rebelles, que je prononcerai une parole et que je la réaliserai, oracle du SeigneurYahvé.
26 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	26 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
27 “Son of man, behold the house of Israel, those who are saying: ‘The visions that this one sees is many days away,’ and, ‘This man prophesies about times that are far away.’	27 Fils d'homme, voici que la maison d'Israël dit: "La vision que celui-là voit est pour une époquelointaine; il prophétise pour un avenir éloigné."
28 Because of this, say to them: Thus says the Lord God: No word of mine will be delayed any longer. The word that I will speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God.”	28 Eh bien! Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Il n'y a plus de délai pour toutes mes paroles.Ce que je dis est dit et se réalisera, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
