Jeremiah 45

1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch, the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book, from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, saying:	1 - La parola che Geremia profeta pronunziò, nell'anno quarto di Joachim, figlio di Josia, re di Giuda, a Baruc, figlio di Neria, dopo che ebbe riscritto queste parole nel libro dalla bocca di Geremia che gli disse:
2 “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to you, Baruch:	2 «Così dice il Signore Dio di Israele a te Baruc:
3 You have said: ‘Woe to me, a wretched man! For the Lord has added sorrow to my sorrow. I have labored in my groaning, and I have not found rest.’	3 - Hai esclamato: "O misero a me! Il Signore mi aggiunse dolore sopra dolore, son macerato dai gemiti e non so trovar quiete!".
4 Thus says the Lord: So shall you say to him: Behold, those whom I have built up, I destroy, and those whom I have planted, I uproot, even this entire land.	4 Ebbene, così dice il Signore: "Gli dirai così: Ecco quelli che ho edificato, io distruggo, e quelli che ho piantato, io svelgo, e tutta questa terra corre la stessa sorte".
5 And are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not choose to seek them. For behold, I will lead evil over all that is flesh, says the Lord. But I will give your life to you unto salvation, in every place, wherever you may travel.”	5 E tu cercheresti grandiosità? non cercarne, perchè ecco che io farò piombare grandi guai sopra tutti i viventi, dice il Signore; ma a te darò salva la vita, in tutti i luoghi dovunque tu andrai -».
