Jeremiah 33

1 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still confined to the atrium of the prison, saying:	1 E disse Iddio a Ieremia la seconda volta, conciosia cosa che ancora fosse rinchiuso nel cammino della carcere; e disse così:
2 “Thus says the Lord, who will prepare, and form, and accomplish it; the Lord is his name.	2 Questo dice Iddio, il quale deve fare e formare quello, e che apparecchierà: lo suo nome si dice Signore:
3 Cry out to me and I will heed you. And I will announce to you great things, things that are certain, though you do not know them.	3 Grida a me, e io esaudirò te; e annuncierotti grandi cose e ferme, le quali tu non sai.
4 For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to the houses of this city, and to the houses of the king of Judah, which have been destroyed, and to the fortifications, and to the sword	4 Però [che] questo dice Iddio Signore d' Israel alle case di questa città, e alle case dello re di Giuda, le quali sono distrutte, e alle armadure e allo coltello
5 of those who have arrived, so that they may fight with the Chaldeans, and so that they may have their fill of the dead bodies of the men whom I have struck down in my fury and in my indignation, concealing my face from this city, because of all their wickedness:	5 di quelli che vegnono per ischermire colli Caldei, ed empierle de' corpi morti di uomini i quali io ho percosso nel mio furore e nella mia indignazione io nasconderò la mia faccia da questa città per tutta la loro malizia.
6 Behold, I will lead over them scars and health, and I will cure them. And I will reveal to them an invocation of peace and truth.	6 Io metterò loro la margine e la sanità, e curerogli; e rivelerò loro priego di pace e di verità.
7 And I will convert the turning away of Judah and the turning away of Jerusalem. And I will build them up, just as from the beginning.	7 E convertirò la conversione di Giuda, e la conversione di Ierusalem; ed edificherolli sì come da principio.
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me. And I will forgive all their iniquities, by which they have offended against me and have despised me.	8 E monderolli da ogni loro iniquitade, nella quale peccarono a me; e sarò umile in tutte le loro malvagitadi, nelle quali egli lasciorono me e disprezzorono me.
9 And this will be for me: a name, and a joy, and a praise, and an exultation, among all the nations of the earth who will hear about all the good things that I will accomplish for them. And they will be afraid and troubled over all these good things, and over all the peace, that I will accomplish for them.	9 E sarammi a nome e allegrezza, e a laude e in esultamento a tutte le genti della terra, le quali udirono tutti li beni li quali io debbo fare loro; e ricorderannomi, e [si] turberanno in tutti li universi beni, e in ogni pace la quale io farò loro.
10 Thus says the Lord: Still shall there be heard in this place, (which you say is desolate, because there is neither man nor beast,) and in the cities of Judah and outside of Jerusalem, (which are desolate, without man, and without an inhabitant and without cattle,)	10 Questo dice Iddio: ancora s' udirà in questo luogo; lo quale voi dite ch' è deserto, però che non sia nè uomo nè bestia nelle città di Giuda e di fuori di Ierusalem, le quali sono desolate sanza uomo e sanza abitazione e sanza pecora;
11 the voice of gladness and the voice of rejoicing, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: ‘Confess to the Lord of hosts! For the Lord is good! For his mercy is eternal!’ and the voice of those fulfilling their vows in the house of the Lord. For I will lead back the turning away of the land, just as from the beginning, says the Lord.”	11 boce d'allegrezza e boce di letizia, e boce di sposo e di sposa, e boce dicente: confessatevi allo Iddio delli esèrciti, però che bono è il Signore, e la sua (signoria) misericordia in eterno; boce di portanti l'offerte nella casa di Dio: io inducerò la conversione della terra come dal principio, dice Iddio.
12 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Still shall there be in this place, (which is desolate without man and without beast,) and in all of its cities: a habitation for the shepherds giving rest to their flocks.	12 Questo dice lo Signore delli esèrciti: ancora sarà in questo luogo deserto sanza uomo e sanza bestia, e in tutte sue cittadi, abitacolo di pastori e letti di greggie.
13 For even in the cities on the mountains, and in the cities on the plains, and in the cities that are toward the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and all around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, still shall the flocks travel by the hand of him who numbers them, says the Lord.	13 E nelle cittadi de' monti, e in quelle dei campi, [e in quelle] le quali sono ad austro, nella terra di Beniamin, e nel circuito di Ierusalem, e nelle cittadi di Giuda, ancora passeranno le greggie alla mano dello annumerante, dice Iddio.
14 Behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the good word that I have spoken to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.	14 Ecco, verrà li giorni, dice lo Signore; io resusciterò la buona parola, la quale io ho parlato alla casa d'Israel e alla casa di Giuda.
15 In those days and at that time, I will cause the seedling of justice to spring up from David, and he will accomplish judgment and justice upon the earth.	15 In quello tempo farò germinare da David uno rampollo di giustizia, e farà giudicio e giustizia in terra.
16 In those days, Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in confidence. And this is the name that they will call him: ‘The Lord, our Just One.’	16 In quel tempo si salverà Giuda, e Ierusalem abiterà confidentemente; e questo sarà lo nome, come lo chiameranno, cioè: lo nostro Signore (Iddio) giusto.
17 For thus says the Lord: There shall not cease to be a man from David sitting upon the throne of the house of Israel.	17 Però che questo dice Iddio: non morrà l'uomo della schiatta di David, il quale segga sopra lo trono della casa d' Israel.
18 And there shall not cease to be a man from the priests and from the Levites before my face, who offers holocausts, and burns sacrifices, and kills victims, for days without end.”	18 E de' sacerdoti e de' leviti non morrà uomo della mia faccia, il quale offeri olocausto e incenda sacrificio e uccida lo animale per ogni dì. (Li Leviti sono clerici, ma non sono preti, sì come fue santo Lorenzo, il quale fue Levita).
19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:	19 E disse Iddio a Ieremia :
20 “Thus says the Lord: If my covenant with the day is able to be nullified, or my covenant with the night, such that there would be no day and no night in their time,	20 Questo dice Iddio: se si puote trovare annullato lo mio patto col dì e con la notte, che non sieno nel tempo loro;
21 then, too, my covenant with David, my servant, may be nullified, such that he would not have a son who reigns upon his throne, with both the Levites and the priests as my ministers.	21 e lo mio patto potrà ritornare con David. mio servo, cioè che non sie [figliuolo] di lui, il quale regni nel suo trono, e li Leviti e li sacerdoti miei ministri.
22 Just as the stars of heaven are not able to be numbered, and the sand of the sea is not able to be measured, so will I multiply the offspring of David, my servant, and the Levites, my ministers.”	22 Sì come non si possono annumerare le stelle del cielo, e mensurare l'arena del mare, così moltiplicherò lo seme di David mio servo, e li Leviti miei ministri.
23 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:	23 E disse Iddio a Ieremia :
24 “Have you not seen what this people has spoken? They say: ‘The two families which the Lord had chosen have been rejected.’ And so they have despised my people, as if they were no longer a nation in their sight.	24 Or non vedesti tu che questo populo parlò, dicendo due parentezze, le quali Iddio avea elette, sono gittate (e disprezzate); e hanno dispregiato lo populo mio, però che non è più generazione innanzi a loro?
25 Thus says the Lord: If I have not established my covenant with the day and the night, and my laws over heaven and earth,	25 Questo dice Iddio: se lo patto tra lo dì e la notte, e se io non puosi legge allo cielo e alla terra;
26 then truly I will also cast aside the offspring of Jacob, and of David, my servant, so that I do not take up any of his offspring to be leaders over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will lead back their turning way, and I will take pity on them.”	26 in verità lo seme di Iacob e di David mio servo gitterò, acciò ch' io non pigli del suo seme, e faccine principi del seme di Abraam, di Isaac e di Iacob; producerò la loro conversione, e averò misericordia di loro.
