1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 - Disse ancora il Signore, parlando a Mosè:
2 You shall speak these things to the sons of Israel: A man among the sons Israel, or among the newcomers who live in Israel, if he will have given from his seed to the idol Moloch, he shall be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him.	2 «Ai figliuoli di Israele dirai così: - Se uno, tanto de' figli d'Israele quanto de' forestieri dimoranti in Israele, offrirà un suo figliuolo all'idolo Moloc, sia messo a morte. Tutto il popolo lo lapiderà.
3 And I will set my face against him. And I will cut him down from the midst of his people, because he has given from his seed to Moloch, and he has contaminated my Sanctuary, and polluted my holy name.	3 Io mi metterò contro di lui, e lo reciderò di mezzo al suo popolo, per aver egli dato un de' suoi figli a Moloc, contaminato il mio santuario, e profanato il santo mio nome.
4 But if the people of the land, having been neglectful and holding little regard for my authority, release the man who has given from his seed to Moloch, and they are not willing to kill him,	4 Che se il vostro popolo, trascurando il mio precetto, e quasi disprezzandolo, lascerà libero l'uomo che dette a Moloc un figlio suo, e non lo vorrà uccidere,
5 I will set my face over that man and over his kindred, and I will cut down both him and all who consented with him to fornicate with Moloch, from the midst of their people.	5 mi mettero io stesso contro quell'uomo e contro la sua famiglia, e reciderò di mezzo al suo popolo lui e tutti quegli che furono complici nella fornicazione con Moloc.
6 The soul who will have turned aside to astrologers and soothsayers, and who will have fornicated with them, I will set my face against him, and I will destroy him from the midst of his people.	6 Se qualcuno si rivolgerà ai maghi ed agl'indovini fornicando con loro, io mi metterò contro di lui, e lo sterminerò di fra il suo popolo.
7 Be sanctified and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.	7 Santificatevi, e siate santi, perchè io sono il Signore Dio vostro.
8 Observe my precepts, and do them. I am the Lord, who sanctifies you.	8 Custodite i miei comandamenti, e adempiteli. Io il Signore che vi santifico.
9 Whoever curses his father or mother shall die a death; he has cursed his father and mother. So let his blood be upon him.	9 Chi maledirà il padre o la madre, venga messo a morte; ha maledetto il padre e la madre, il sangue suo ricada su lui.
10 If anyone will have committed sexual acts with the wife of another, or will have perpetrated adultery with his neighbor’s spouse, they shall die a death, both the adulterer and the adulteress.	10 Se uno avrà peccato con la moglie d'un altro, commettendo adulterio con la moglie d'un suo prossimo, saran puniti di morte ambedue, l'uomo e la donna.
11 Whoever will have slept with his stepmother, or will have uncovered the shame of his father, they shall both die a death. So let their blood be upon them.	11 Se uno avrà dormito con la sua matrigna, recando con ciò onta al padre suo, saran messi a morte ambedue; il loro sangue ricada su loro.
12 If any man will have slept with his daughter-in-law, both shall die, for they have acted according to wickedness. So let their blood be upon them.	12 Se uno avrà dormito con la sua nuora, morranno ambedue, avendo commessa una scelleratezza; il sangue loro ricada su loro.
13 If any man has slept with a male in place of sexual intercourse with a female, both have committed a nefarious act, they shall die a death. So let their blood be upon them.	13 Se uno userà d'un maschio come d'una femmina, hanno fatto ambedue cosa abominevole; sian messi a morte, e il loro sangue ricada su loro.
14 If any man, having taken the daughter as a wife, will have married her mother, he has acted according to wickedness. He shall be burnt alive with them. Neither shall so great a nefarious act persist in your midst.	14 Chi avendo in moglie la figlia, prenderà inoltre la madre di lei, fa cosa cosa scellerata; sarà bruciato vivo con esse, nè una tale indegnità verrà tollerata fra voi.
15 Whoever will have committed sexual acts with any animal or cattle, he shall die a death. Likewise, you shall slay the beast.	15 Chi si congiungerà con una bestia qualsiasi, venga ucciso; uccidete anche la bestia.
16 The woman who will have lain under any animal at all shall be destroyed together with it. So let their blood be upon them.	16 La donna che si sia congiunta con qualsiasi animale, venga uccisa con esso. Il sangue loro sia sopra di loro.
17 Whoever will have taken his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother, and will have seen her nakedness, and she will have looked upon her brother’s shame, they have committed a nefarious act. They shall be slain in the sight of their people, because they have uncovered one another’s nakedness. And they shall bear their iniquity.	17 Se uno prende la sua sorella, figlia del padre o della madre sua, e scuopre la sua nudità, ed essa quella di lui, hanno fatto cosa nefasta; saranno messi a morte in presenza del loro popolo, per essersi scambievolmente scoperta la propria nudità, e porteranno la pena della loro iniquità.
18 Whoever has sexual intercourse with a woman in her menstrual flow, and has uncovered her nakedness, and she has opened the fountain of her blood, both shall be destroyed from the midst of their people.	18 Se uno s'unirà a donna che ha il flusso mensile, scoprendo la nudità di lei, ed essa pure gli si scuopre, verranno ambedue sterminati di mezzo al loro popolo.
19 You shall not expose the nakedness of your maternal or paternal aunt. Whoever does this has laid bare the shame of his own flesh; both shall bear their iniquity.	19 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tua madre o di tuo padre; chi fa questo mette in mostra l'ignominia della propria carne, e porteranno ambedue la propria iniquità.
20 If any man has had sexual intercourse with the wife of his paternal or maternal uncle, and he has uncovered the shame of his close relative, both shall bear their sin. They shall die without children.	20 Se uno s'unirà alla moglie del proprio zio paterno o materno, scoprendo la nudità della sua parente, porteranno ambedue il proprio peccato; morranno senza figli.
21 Whoever will have married his brother’s wife has done an unlawful thing; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They shall be without children.	21 Chi prende la moglie di suo fratello, fa cosa illecita, disonorando il proprio fratello; saranno senza figliuoli. Esortazione generale
22 Observe my laws as well as my judgments, and act according to them, lest the land, into which you will enter and live, may vomit you out, too.	22 Custodite le mie leggi ed i miei comandamenti, ed eseguiteli acciò anche voi non abbia a rigettare la terra nella quale entrerete ed abiterete.
23 Do not be willing to walk by the ordinances of the nations, which I will expel before you. For they have done all these things, and so I abominate them.	23 Non vi conformate alle leggi delle nazioni che io scaccerò d'innanzi a voi. Esse han fatto tutte queste cose, e mi son diventate abominevoli.
24 But I say to you: Possess their land, which I will give to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who has separated you from the other peoples.	24 Ma a voi io dico: "Abbiatevi la loro terra, che io vi darò in eredità: terra dove scorrono il latte ed il miele. Io il Signore Dio vostro, che v'ho separati da tutti gli altri popoli.
25 Therefore, you must also separate the clean animals from the unclean, and the clean birds from the unclean. Do not pollute your souls with cattle, or birds, or anything that moves upon the earth, and which I have shown you to be unclean.	25 Anche voi dunque separate l'animale mondo da quello immondo, l'uccello mondo dall'immondo, per non macchiar l'anime vostre con animali, uccelli o quali altri esseri si muovano sulla terra, e che io v'abbia indicati come immondi.
26 You shall be holy unto me, because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples, so that you would be mine.	26 Voi sarete santi al mio cospetto, perchè santo son io, il Signore, e v'ho separati dagli altri popoli acciò foste miei.
27 A man or a woman, in whom there is an oracle-like or a divining spirit, shall be put to death. They shall stone them. So let their blood be upon them.	27 L'uomo o la donna che abbian lo spirito pitonico o della divinazione, sian messi a morte; li lapideranno ed il loro sangue ricadrà su loro"-».
