Isaiah 16

1 O Lord, send forth the Lamb, the Ruler of the earth, from the Rock of the desert to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.	1 Signore, manda fuori l'agnello signoreggiatore della terra; della pietra del deserto insino al monte [della figliuola] di Sion.
2 And this shall be: like a bird fleeing away, and like fledglings flying from the nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the passage of Arnon.	2 E sarà; come uccello fuggente, pulcino volante fuori del nido, così saranno le figliuole di Moab nel trassilimento di Arnon.
3 Form a plan. Call a council. Let your shadow be as if it were night, even at midday. Conceal the fugitives, and do not betray the wanderers.	3 E fa consiglio, e costringi lo radunamento del concilio; poni come la notte la tua ombra nel mezzo dì; nascondi li fuggenti, e non tradire li vaghi.
4 My fugitives will live with you. Become a hiding place, O Moab, from the face of the destroyer. For the dust is at its end; the miserable one has been consumed. He who trampled the earth has failed.	4 Li miei fuggitivi abiteranno teco; o tu, Moab, fa che tu sia loro ripostiglio dalla faccia de' guastatori; la polvere è finita, e lo misero è consumato; e quello che conculcava la terra è venuto meno.
5 And a throne will be prepared in mercy, and One shall sit upon it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment, and quickly repaying what is just.	5 E la sedia si apparecchierà nella misericordia, e sederà sopra quella nella verità nel tabernacolo di David, giudicante e domandante giudicio, e velocemente rendente quello che è giusto.
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud. His pride and his arrogance and his indignation is more than his strength.	6 Noi udimmo la superbia di Moab, e certo ch' è molto superbo; la sua superbia e la sua arroganza e la sua indignazione è più che la sua fortezza.
7 For this reason, Moab will wail to Moab; each one will wail. Speak of their wounds to those who rejoice upon the brick walls.	7 Però urlerà Moab a Moab, tutto urlerà; a quelli che si rallegrano nel muro del mattone cotto, parlate le piaghe sue.
8 For the suburbs of Heshbon are deserted, and the lords of the Gentiles have cut down the vineyard of Sibmah. Its vines have arrived even at Jazer. They have wandered in the desert. Its seedlings have been abandoned. They have crossed over the sea.	8 Però che le ville di Esebon sono deserte, e la vigna di Sabama li signori delle genti tagliorono; le sue battitture pervennero insino a Iazer; ed errarono (la via) nel deserto, e li suoi arfosi furono lasciati, e passarono lo mare.
9 I will weep with the tears of Jazer over this, the vineyard of Sibmah. I will inebriate you with my tears, Heshbon and Elealeh! For the sound of those who trample has rushed over your vintage and over your harvest.	9 Sopra questo io piagnerò nel pianto di Iazer sopra la vigna di Sabama; o Esebon ed Eleale, io ti inebrierò colla mia lacrima, però che la voce. delli conculcatori corsa è sopra la tua vendemmia e sopra la tua ricolta.
10 And so, rejoicing and exultation will be taken away from Carmel, and there will be no jubilation or exultation in the vineyards. He who was accustomed to tread will not tread out the wine in the winepress. I have taken away the sound of those who tread.	10 E la letizia e la allegrezza sarà tolta di Carmelo (cioè di quello monte), e non si rallegrerà nelle vigne; e non ancora calcherà lo vino nel canale, quello che soleva calcare; io hoe tolta la voce de' calcatori.
11 Over this, my heart will resonate like a harp for Moab, and my inner most being for the brick wall.	11 Sopra questo lo mio ventre sonerà a Moab come una citara, e le mie interiora alle mura del mattone cotto.
12 And this shall be: when it is seen that Moab has struggled upon his high places, he will enter his holy places to pray, but he will not prevail.	12 E sarà; quando apparirà suso quello che Moab hae affaticato sopra le sue alture, entrerà tra li suoi santi per pregare, e non gli varrà.
13 This is the word that the Lord has spoken to Moab concerning that time.	13 Questa è la parola, che parlò Iddio a Moab allora.
14 And now the Lord has spoken, saying: In three years, like the years of a hired hand, the glory of Moab concerning the entire multitude of the people will be taken away, and what is left behind will be small and weak and not so numerous.	14 E ora parlò Iddio, e disse: in tre anni, quasi come li anni del mercenaio, sarà tolta la gloria di Moab sopra ogni populo, e sarà lasciata in lui a modo d' uno racimolo piccolo, e non ve ne sarà.
