Psalms 86

1 A Canticle Psalm to the sons of Korah. Its foundations are in the holy mountains:	1 Salmo del cantico, alli figliuoli di Core. Li fondamenti suoi (sono posti) ne' monti santi; ama il Signore le porte di Sion sopra tutti li tabernacoli di Iacob.
2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.	2 Città di Dio, gloriose cose dette sono di te.
3 Glorious things are being said of you, O City of God.	3 Arricorderommi di Raab e di Babilonia, che sanno me.
4 I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold, the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians: these have been there.	4 Ecco che gli estranei e il Tiro e il popolo de' Etiopii, questi furono quivi.
5 Will not Zion say that this man and that man were born in her? And the Most High himself has founded her.	5 Adunque non dirà Sion: l' uomo, e l'uomo è nasciuto in essa, ed esso Altissimo fondò quella?
6 The Lord will explain, in the writings of peoples and of leaders, about those who have been in her.	6 Il Signore ha narrato ne[le] scritture de' popoli e de' loro principi che furono in essa.
7 For so the dwelling place within you is with all rejoicing.	7 (Che) è in te la abitazione, come di tutti li rallegranti.
