CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAINKING JAMES BIBLE
Unto the end. A Psalm to the sons of Korah.1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
O Lord, you have blessed your land. You have turned aside the captivity of Jacob.2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
You have released the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sins.3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
You have mitigated all your wrath. You have turned aside from the wrath of your indignation.4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
Convert us, O God, our Savior, and turn your anger away from us.5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
Will you be angry with us forever? And will you extend your wrath from generation to generation?6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
O God, you will turn back and revive us. And your people will rejoice in you.7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
O Lord, reveal to us your mercy, and grant to us your salvation.8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
I will listen to what the Lord God may be saying to me. For he will speak peace to his people, and to his saints, and to those who are being converted to the heart.9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
So then, truly his salvation is near to those who fear him, so that glory may inhabit our land.10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Mercy and truth have met each other. Justice and peace have kissed.11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Truth has risen from the earth, and justice has gazed down from heaven.12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
For so will the Lord give goodness, and our earth will give her fruit.
Justice will walk before him, and he will set his steps upon the way.
