Psalms 28

1 A Psalm of David, at the completion of the tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, O sons of God, bring to the Lord the sons of rams.	1 Of David. To you, LORD, I call; my Rock, do not be deaf to me. If you fail to answer me, I will join those who go down to the pit.
2 Bring to the Lord, glory and honor. Bring to the Lord, glory for his name. Adore the Lord in his holy court.	2 Hear the sound of my pleading when I cry to you, lifting my hands toward your holy place.
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters. The God of majesty has thundered. The Lord is over many waters.	3 Do not drag me off with the wicked, with those who do wrong, Who speak peace to their neighbors though evil is in their hearts.
4 The voice of the Lord is in virtue. The voice of the Lord is in magnificence.	4 Repay them for their deeds, for the evil that they do. For the work of their hands repay them; give them what they deserve.
5 The voice of the Lord shatters the cedars. And the Lord will shatter the cedars of Lebanon.	5 They pay no heed to the LORD'S works, to the deeds of God's hands. God will tear them down, never to be rebuilt.
6 And it will break them into pieces, like a calf of Lebanon, and in the same way as the beloved son of the single-horned beast.	6 Blessed be the LORD, who has heard the sound of my pleading.
7 The voice of the Lord cuts through the flame of fire.	7 The LORD is my strength and my shield, in whom my heart trusted and found help. So my heart rejoices; with my song I praise my God.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert. And the Lord will quake the desert of Kadesh.	8 LORD, you are the strength of your people, the saving refuge of your anointed king.
9 The voice of the Lord is preparing the stags, and he will reveal the dense woods. And in his temple, all will speak his glory.	9 Save your people, bless your inheritance; feed and sustain them forever!
10 The Lord causes the great flood to dwell. And the Lord will sit as King in eternity.
11 The Lord will give virtue to his people. The Lord will bless his people in peace.
