Psalms 21

1 Unto the end. For the tasks of early morning. A Psalm of David.	1 In fine, salmo di David per la soscrizione (ovver per la cerva) mattutina.
2 O God, my God, look upon me. Why have you forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my offenses.	2 Dio, Dio mio, riguarda in me per che m' hai tu abbandonato lontano dalla mia salute per le parole de' miei delitti?
3 My God, I will cry out by day, and you will not heed, and by night, and it will not be foolishness for me.	3 Dio mio, grideroe nel giorno, e non esaudirai; e la notte, e non mi sarà reputato a stultizia.
4 But you dwell in holiness, O Praise of Israel.	4 Ma (che) tu abiti nel santo, o laude d' Israel.
5 In you, our fathers have hoped. They hoped, and you freed them.	5 In te hanno sperato i nostri padri; sperorono e liberastili.
6 They cried out to you, and they were saved. In you, they hoped and were not confounded.	6 A te gridorono, e furono salvati; in te sperorono, e non furono confusi.
7 But I am a worm and not a man: a disgrace among men, and an outcast of the people.	7 Ma io sono verme, e non uomo; obbrobrio delli uomini, e scacciamento del popolo.
8 All those who saw me have derided me. They have spoken with the lips and shook the head.	8 Tutti quelli che mi videro, mi schernirono; parlarono colle labbra, e movettero il capo.
9 He has hoped in the Lord, let him rescue him. Let him save him because he chooses him.	9 Chi ha sperato nel Signore, ora il deliberi; faccilo salvo, perchè vuole lui.
10 For you are the one who has drawn me out of the womb, my hope from the breasts of my mother.	10 Però [che] tu sei quello che mi traesti del ventre; sei mia speranza dalle mammelle della mia madre.
11 I have been thrown upon you from the womb; from the womb of my mother, you are my God.	11 Dal ventre sono gittato in te; tu sei mio Iddio dal ventre della mia madre.
12 Do not depart from me. For tribulation is near, since there is no one who may help me.	12 Non ti partire da me. Imperò che si appressa la tribulazione, e non è cui mi aiuti.
13 Many calves have surrounded me; fat bulls have besieged me.	13 Hannomi circondato molti vitelli; i grassi tauri mi hanno assediato.
14 They have opened their mouths over me, just like a lion seizing and roaring.	14 Sopra di me hanno aperto loro bocca, come pigliante leone e ruggente.
15 And so, I have been poured out like water, and all my bones have been scattered. My heart has become like wax, melting in the midst of my chest.	15 Aperto sono come acqua; spartite sono tutte le mie ossa. Fatto è il mio cuore, come cera strutta nel mezzo del mio ventre.
16 My strength has dried up like clay, and my tongue has adhered to my jaws. And you have pulled me down, into the dust of death.	16 Seccata è la mia virtù, come (parte di) vaso di terra; accostata è la mia lingua al palato; e haimi menato in polvere della morte.
17 For many dogs have surrounded me. The council of the malicious has besieged me. They have pierced my hands and feet.	17 Però che molti cani hannomi circondato; mi hanno assediato il consiglio de' maligni. Forato hanno le mie mani e gli miei piedi.
18 They have numbered all my bones. And they have examined me and stared at me.	18 Hanno dinumerato tutte le mie ossa. E me videno, e considerorono me.
19 They divided my garments among them, and over my vestment, they cast lots.	19 Partirono a sè le mie vestimenta, e sopra la mia veste misero la sorte.
20 But you, O Lord, do not take your help far from me; be attentive to my defense.	20 Ma tu, Signore, non allungare il tuo aiutorio; guardami alla defensione.
21 O God, rescue my soul from the spear, and my only one from the hand of the dog.	21 Libera dalla morte l'anima mia, e dalla mano del cane la unica (anima) mia.
22 Save me from the mouth of the lion, and my humility from the horns of single-horned beast.	22 Salvami dalla bocca del leone, e dalle corna delli unicorni la mia umilità.
23 I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the Church, I will praise you.	23 Racconterò il nome tuo alli miei fratelli; lauderò te in mezzo della chiesa.
24 You who fear the Lord, praise him. All the offspring of Jacob, glorify him.	24 Voi che temete il Signore, laudatelo; glorificatelo, voi seme di Iacob.
25 May all the offspring of Israel fear him. For he has neither spurned nor despised the pleas of the poor. Neither has he turned his face away from me. And when I cried out to him, he heeded me.	25 Ogni seme d' Israel tema quello; però che non ha disprezzato nè avviliato la preghiera del povero. Da me non ha voltata la sua faccia; e gridando a lui, mi esauditte.
26 My praise is with you, within a great church. I will pay my vows in the sight of those who fear him.	26 Appresso di te è la laude nella gran mia chiesa; renderò i miei voti nel conspetto de' suoi tementi.
27 The poor will eat and be satisfied, and those who yearn for the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will live forever and ever.	27 Mangeranno i poveri, e sazieransi; e lauderanno il Signore coloro che il chiedono; sempre viveranno loro cuori.
28 All the ends of the earth will remember, and they will be converted to the Lord. And all the families of the Gentiles will adore in his sight.	28 Arricorderansi e convertiransi al Signore tutti che sono della terra. E nel suo conspetto adoreranno tutte le famiglie delle genti.
29 For the kingdom belongs to the Lord, and he will have dominion over the Gentiles.	29 Imperò che il regno è del Signore; e lui signoreggerà alla gente.
30 All the fat of the earth have gnashed their teeth, and they have adored. In his sight, they will fall down, all those who descend to the ground.	30 Tutti i grassi della terra mangiorono e adororono; nel suo conspetto caderanno tutti li descendenti nella terra.
31 And my soul will live for him, and my offspring will serve him.	31 Ma l'anima mia a lui viverà; e il mio seme servira?li.
32 There will be announced for the Lord a future generation, and the heavens will announce his justice to a people who will be born, whom the Lord has made.	32 Al Signore si annunzierà la generazione ventura; e gli cieli annunzieranno al popolo che nascerà la sua giustizia, il quale ha fatto il Signore.
